Buyer Beware

I sent my inverter to AIMS for repair. When I got it back, it would not turn on. The tech told me to open it and take pictures. When he looked at the pictures he saw a ribbon cable that was not connected. I connected it and turned it on. After 2 hours it overheated. They had no idea what was wrong & tried to tell me it was my batteries. The tech relooked at the pictures and found 2 plugs that needed to be switched. Now it works fine. I asked for a partial refund and they told me since I opened it the warranty was void even though they told me to open it. Do yourself a favor and buy form someone else.

We appreciate your input sharing your experience. After speaking to our technicians about your review we have a better understanding of the situation. When inspecting your inverter, the technicians only found some loose bolts which they tightened. No components were replaced or changed during the time your inverter was in our possession. Before returning the inverter to you a full test was completed on the inverter which showed that the inverter worked as it should.
Because your inverter was out of warranty before you shipped it to us and was fully tested to work correctly before shipping, we cannot offer any refunds. We’re sorry that this is not the resolution you had hoped for.

I am unfamiliar with solar system technology. I bought a 100Amp charge controller from Aims Power. I called for technical assistance. Angel has been very helpful and professional in helping me with my problems. I highly recommend him and his company. Especially if you are a novice thanks.

Awesome Company

The communication was excellent. Their work is very thorough. They saved me $1,000 off the original estimate because they found only a loose wire. Angel is awesome to deal with.

Great Technical Staff

Angel had patience with me as I’m not knowledgeable on these items. He walked me through the trouble shooting of my unit and identified the problem. He helped me order the parts I needed and worked with me when I had questions about the installation of them. In this day and age it’s refreshing to deal with him and a company like this. Thank you!

Fixed noisy fan with help from customer service

Very reliable inverter in regular use for last five years. Cooling fan was starting to get noisy and I wrote to customer service about getting a replacement fan. They wrote back that I could get one on Amazon (60mm x30mm with two wire connector). Very easy replacement via rear panel.

Somehow I purchased a modified sign


Somehow I purchased a modified sign wave inverter despite only looking at pure sine wave inverters on their website, I called to inquire about returning for exchange. I asked asked after I was told all the instructions. would aims pay the return shipping. I was told no. My thought are that I was charged 18.99 for shipping and that since it is questionable how I ordered the wrong inverter. A good PR move in this situation would have been to pay the return shipping( prob less than 10 bucks) and earn a loyal customer . but instead they decided it was best to just get a onetime order . I did want to buy a pure sign wave inverter. (they cost more) I wanted more than one. I feel that if they are that tight what if I have a real warranty issue.

My client bought a 2kW inverter charger 2 years ago and it stopped charging the batteries from the grid current. I spoke to technical support and we received a control board and that was it. We know it is not guaranteed but we were able to provide a solution to our client. It is a reliable brand. Excellent after-sales response.
