SPOILER: My experience with this dealership has been nothing short of a nightmare. In just six months after purchasing a Mercedes from Alba Cars, I found myself out approximately 70,000 AED. Here's the story:
Year ago, I decided to purchase my first car in Dubai. Being new to the area, I relied on trusted auto dealerships like Alba Cars to guide me through the process. Despite paying a premium for the convenience of buying from a dealership rather than a private seller, I believed it would be worth it for the peace of mind. Alba Cars initially impressed me with their customer service and seemingly thorough inspection process.
I had my eye on a Mercedes, and when it appeared on Alba's Instagram, I visited their showroom to check it out. Everything seemed fine—the inspection report showed no issues, and I felt confident in my purchase. However, my optimism quickly faded when I started experiencing problems just one month later.
First, I noticed an unusual sound in the suspension, which turned out to require major repairs costing around 30,000 AED. When I brought this to Alba Cars' attention, their service manager informed me that because I hadn't purchased an extended warranty from them, the suspension wasn't covered. Only engine and transmission issues were covered under the basic warranty, leaving me to foot the bill for the suspension repairs. I thought ‘OK, it’s my fault. I’d better bought the extended warranty but hadn’t done it.’ Investing 10,000 AED in aftermarket parts I repaired suspension, but my troubles continued.
Within a few months, I received notifications of low engine oil levels, leading me to discover serious engine problems that would require costly repairs totaling around 42,000 AED. Upon further investigation, including an endoscopy of the engine, I uncovered scratches in the cylinders, a serious issue that would necessitate a complete engine replacement by sourcing a new donor.
Despite presenting this evidence to Alba Cars, they refused to acknowledge their responsibility, leaving me to bear the burden of the hefty repair costs alone citing the cap of 5k AED of their basic warranty.
In desperation, I attempted to sell the car back to Alba, only to be met with rejection due to its age, despite the fact that they had sold it to me just six months prior. What's even more telling is that during their inspection process, their inspector highlighted only some unusual sounds from the suspension, completely overlooking the serious engine problem that later surfaced. This glaring oversight raises serious questions about the efficacy and thoroughness of their car inspection procedures, leaving customers vulnerable to hidden issues that can turn into costly nightmares. It's a stark reminder of the importance of a comprehensive and reliable inspection, a standard that Alba Cars, unfortunately, failed to meet.
To summarize:
I paid a premium of 20% (20k AED) over market alternative for a car touted to be in "ideal condition," only to encounter significant issues shortly after purchase.
The suspension required replacement within a month of driving on Dubai's supposedly smooth roads.
The car had a serious hidden defect in the engine, which Alba Cars failed to detect during their inspection.
When I expressed my frustrations to Alba's representative, Stephanie, I was met with dismissiveness and accusations of rudeness. But can you blame me? I was sold a faulty car with no recourse or support from the dealership.
In conclusion, I strongly advise against doing business with Alba Cars. Don't fall for their marketing tricks or promises of warranties—they'll leave you high and dry when you need them most. Take my experience as a cautionary tale and think twice before considering a purchase from Alba Cars.

BE VERY CAREFUL with ALBA Cars Dubai UAE.

I bought a car from them in February, front camera wasn't working since day 1. They promised to go after the part for months, I followed up with them via whatsapp multiple times - without response in the past months - and they are now saying the car has been with me for too long and won't help me get the part that was defectful in the first place.

Unfortunately, they are not serious about solving my issue.

Had an amazing experience. Paul helped us and ensured that we pick the car that we needed and did not try to sell us anything. Everything was handled smoothly and professionally with an open line of communication. I really recommend going here and asking for Paul. The place had a positive atmosphere and the employees were totally friendly, including Yazid, who handled the back end of the sale.
