AloSIM - not enough coverage in smaller zones
AloSIM was great at the beginning of my trip in Italy, especially for the big cities. But when I was in smaller areas, specifically the coast of the Cinque Terre area, I could rarely pick up the providers offered by aloSIM. For some reason, the network Iliad was the only option, which isn't supported by your company. This was disappointing, as well as somewhat anxiety provoking as a single woman traveller. I couldn't view maps or connect with people that were important to me, unless I hunted around for WiFi at random cafes. Generally a great app, but for two weeks of my time in Italy, there was no connection.

I wanted to transfer an eSim from an old phone to a new one. That isn't supported. But the support technician Melissa was very accommodating and issued me a new eSim instead. Great service. Although it would be nice to be able to transfer esim on my own without contacting support.

JUST OK - Will try another eSIM next time.
Some issues setting it up and connecting and staying connected when arriving at our destination.
Accessing Emails has not worked since installing the eSIM making it impossible to get Alosim support which requires a verification codes sent via email. I am not alone, other a Alosim users are experiencing the same problem.
The email issue occurred on the last two trips to Italy and Azores now in South Africa.

Thanks for your feedback. We completely understand the frustration! Because an eSIM integrates with your phone's hardware, you actually have to delete old eSIMs and toggle your active lines on and off directly within your phone's native 'Settings' app, rather than the aloSIM app.
Phones require manual toggling so you never accidentally use the wrong data line. Lastly, you only need Wi-Fi for just a few moments to complete the initial download of the eSIM profile. Once downloaded, it provides its own cellular data!
