I had an amazing time on Kilimanjaro, The trip was organized and operated by Altezza. I did the 7 day Lomosho expedition. This company was amazing from start to finish, when my plane broke, and I was unable to make my original planned trip they quickly and with no trouble got me into another group. The group was awesome, I made a lot of friends and our support crew was more than I couldâve ever hoped for. Rama and his team took great care off us, For an example, I got a horrible bloody nose (common for me) on summit night and without hesitation Ruma and Eliakim did not hesitate to help me. They showed so much compassion while also moving quickly and getting me to a place where I could hike again. The entire team had so much morale and motivation throughout all seven days. Constantly singing, hooting and hollering keeping us pumped up and ready for anything. Everyone from the guides to the porters worked together flawlessly to make this experience, one of a lifetime!

We summated Kilimanjaro on 23/Jan/24, under the guidance of a team put together by Altezza travel. Our team leader, Elia, along with guides Charles and Eliakim, were outstanding. We completed the Kilimanjaro Lomosho route and it was the experience of a lifetime. Stanley our guide was the best we could have hoped for; knowledgeable, patient, understanding and encouraging when times got stuff. The porters and the whole staff made the experience one of a kind. It was super easy to plan with Altezza who were very responsive and I was able to show up the day before the hike and rent lots of gear for reasonable prices. We just finished a climb of Kilimanjaro. It was amazing. The teamâs attention to detail was very unexpected, but so appreciated. And I felt a sense of pride when we came around a corner and there was a proper table set up with a tablecloth, for mid hike tea! No other companies did did anything like this! And we were a group of 2 ED physicians and an ED nurse, and still the guides Rashid and Exaud taught us things, and gave US medical adviceâŠthis is their wheelhouse! The entire team was genuinely happy for us when we summitted and when we reached the end. Top notch porters, cooks, servants, and dishwashers! I canât think of a single thing that I could pass along that was lacking. So pleased with our choice. And, the hot water bottle bottles dressed as bunnies every night for our sleeping bags, we absolutely loved them. Nice touch!
