I wish that I had checked their reviews prior to joining them, they're the worst, I had another service which been using for several years, I was foolish when I couldn't call during recent conflict I thought they were out so I joined amantel, I tried calling few times and even it was not connected it deducted charges so I lost my money without being able to call.

Aamntel was one of the worst calling card services I’ve used. The advertised value did not match my actual experience, the call quality was unreliable, and the overall service felt misleading and frustrating. When I tried to get help, customer service did not provide a proper solution. Based on my experience, I would not trust this company again.”

Run!!! Do not do business with this company. They called me and asked if I wanted to charge my account using my credit card, repeatedly charging my card while misleading me by claiming my minutes would never expire. Then, without warning, all my minutes were gone. When I called to complain, they claimed I needed to recharge again because the previous minutes had “expired,” directly contradicting what they had told me. On top of that, this India-based company provides extremely unprofessional customer service; the representatives are very difficult to understand, evasive, and engage in deceptive, borderline mob-like business practices. Be warned and stay away.

Worst calling card experience. After long calls, I was told I need to wait two hours for account to get active due to their server’s third grade performance. Made a mistake purchasing without reading reviews. Stay away all!!!!

Good service for a reasonable price. Used it to call Canada from the USA. Works well, and call quality is superb.

This company that has its headquarters in New Jersey is a complete SCAM and Fraud for selling phone cards directly or by using many representatives or middle persons.
Never trust these people and give them permission to access your credit card numbers. They are using your card and continue charging each month to your account.
I purchased a 500-minute phone card in April 2024 for $50.00, but the charge was $55.00 to my credit card. They said this extra charge was an Administration Fee.
I paid my monthly credit card bills online each month, but in June 2025, I discovered that this company for 16 months charging $55.00 on my credit card each month.
Immediately, I contacted this company and asked them the reasons for the charges. They passed me to another and at last told me it was a mistake and would correct and reimburse me to my credit card but never did.
On July 05, 2025, I sent a letter to the head headquarters of this company in New Jersey, and requested to investigate this Fraud, but never response.
I contacted my credit card company, FNBO, to dispute charges, but they told me they couldn't help, and I need to solve the problem with the Merchant to solve or get the case to the Court for FRAUD in New Jersey.
Immediately, I canceled my credit card and am trying to solve this theft with help from the Media or the FCC.

I tried making a call, it wasn't going through even though I have 559 minutes to use, I called the customer care, this is my sixth calls to Amantel today speaking to the same person, giving me different access number, he asked me to top up because the old server has been changed, he wanted me to buy $25 to top my account before I can use it. I told him I would rather use the minutes I already have remaining on my account. It's beginning to look like a fraud. It used to be better than this, what went wrong? Anyone knows an alternative company to use?

AMANTEL was a horrible experience. Their customer service is horrible. Account was not activated even after 24 hours, while they promised in 2 hours. Very shady conversations during the multiple calls we made, offering different apps which don’t exist, giving access numbers that don’t work, having ppl on the job who don’t know their work..list goes on. Don’t waste your time with them and report them to agencies!

I signed up and paid initial $5.00 to test their system , they charged me $6.50. I tried their system for 2 days and several attempts but calls are not going through. Very unreliable and shaking operations. Now, they are refusing to refund my money. If they don't I will have my bank to reverse the payment. My very honest advise, stay away from Amantel. They also do have poor customer service. They keep interrupting you. No star for Amantel!!

Scam , steals you money and their “customer service” just extract information

I purchased a calling card from Amantel on May 4, 2025, intending to call my mother overseas. The service never worked despite following all the instructions they provided. When I contacted their support, they first ignored my refund request and instead told me they had “fixed” the issue. I followed their steps exactly — and still, the card didn’t work.

I reached out again to request a refund and was completely ignored. As of May 22, the service remains unusable, and I’m out of pocket for a product that simply never delivered what was promised.

What went wrong? Poor product, worse support, and zero accountability.

How they could improve: Start by delivering a functioning service. If issues arise, respond professionally and offer real support — or at the very least, honor refund requests when your service fails. Ignoring paying customers is unacceptable.

Tip for others: If you choose to purchase from this company, I strongly recommend using a service like PayPal. If the product doesn’t work and the company doesn’t respond, at least you’ll have a way to dispute the charge and protect yourself.

Possibly the most worthless calling App out there. After calling with this Company, you'll find out you are actually calling through a Major carrier and paying the Carrier Rate instead of using your Amantel Minutes. Amantel will NEVER take responsibility for their incompetence and would blame you for "not using" their local number which of course you did. They charge anyway for unconnected calls. Report Amantel to the FCC lets put them out of business in USA. STOP patronizing Criminal Companies, boycott Amantel.

Very Pathetic service. Won’t recommend and charged me for call but didn’t send any pins. I called several times to their customer service but no one has answered. Looks like scam company

This is a fraud company, do not buy from them or use their service. They are just thefts. I called 5 times and was told all kind of stories, so I advise you to stay away from this

This company not only stole the minutes from the card but charged me for another card without permission, months later after I purchased one card from them.They are SCAM!

Amantel emailed me after I placed $10 to call the uk saying they could not get through to me and my phone did not register. I called the help line and an indian guy said this account was not registered so I hung up, this is a scam, DO NOT USE THEM.

I signed up with Amantel to make international calls to Kenya and topped up my account as instructed. However, after completing the payment, I received an email stating that they attempted to contact me but couldn’t reach my phone. I found this suspicious since my phone was working perfectly, and I never received any calls from them.

When I tried to call their customer service to resolve the issue, my calls went straight to voicemail. I never received any services for the money I paid. It feels like a complete scam – they took my money and provided absolutely nothing in return.

After doing more research, I discovered that Amantel has a very bad reputation, and I can see why. I strongly advise against using their services. Save yourself the frustration and find a more reliable service provider. If I could give zero stars, I would!

Amantel, fix your customer service and stop scamming people!

Everyone should stay clear of this company. Wanted to make a phone call now, because I still have over 50 minutes left and on dialing the number, it says it has expired. When I called the customer service, I was told they cannot do anything about it. They are clearly fraudulent!!

Horrible customer service, calls from USA to India don't work. If you paid for calling and calls not going through, ask for refund or call your credit card company and reject charges.
