I hadn't had real Asian snacks for quite a while so I decided to try Ambala - can't remember where I saw the link. Our first order was a selection of sweet snacks - halwa and sheera mix - which came beautifully wrapped. Totally delicious, especially the Habshi Halwa which had some subtle flavours which really complemented the sweet. We'll be trying the savouries next! I'd definitely recommend.

However we had ordered a click and collect for 11.00 am and when we arrived at 11.15 the order was not ready and they just started fulfilling it.
It would be nice if we could have just collected rather then having to wait around

I made an order online for 4 pieces smallest box which says it includes Motichoor ladoo but, when I collected and opened the boxes there was none they gave old barfi… :(

Ordered sweets for a special birthday party. Was to be delivered on Friday, no information on dispatch etc. Left it until Friday evening as I thought DPD delivers late in the evening too. Nothing arrived.
Tried to find a number for the head office on the website. None to be found.
Called stores around the area and they knew nothing about it.
There’s a contact form and I filled it. Sent emails to customer services, received no reply.
We scrambled and found sweets for the party from different stores.
Monday morning after I googled Ambala Number, I got in touch with the on-call team who had no information on this and passed it on to somebody who said they would refund the money and they will send a box of sweets as compensation. How do you compensate for having no sweets for a party? Nobody orders 60 sweets just to keep at home for fun!
I would never order from Ambala again. It’s sad that such a big company blames it on the courier service being a problem. They said they would refund immediately - that’s also yet to be seen. I will be updating a review again based on their response.

Unfortunately the order was not delivered on time for the birthday celebration. An email was sent the day before to apologies.
When the order was received one of the three items was not delivered and just had refund on the invoice. This was the first I knew.
And to add insult to injury the refund was not automatically applied but after prompting arrived in my account 2 days later.
As you can imagine I am thoroughly disappointed. Is this something to do with the acquisition of ambala in March 2025? If so they need to get their act together and not rely on the goodwill of what was a great company.

Easy to order. Delivery on time. Delicious sweets, always consistently great quality.

I found negotiating the website a bit difficult

Good, reliable and great taste. Would like them to give customers option to customise the boxes and not have option s that are pre-selected.

Ambala missed delivering my order for Eid. Upon contacting them they are not bothered and passed the buck to the Courier!!

We needed to go and buy all the gifts again at our Local Nafees. If we would have know this would be the outcome why bother ordering online and early from Amabala ?!

They used DPD who did not bring the parcel on the day and send the message that "we were not at home", while we were, DPD did not even ring the door!!

Both Ambala and DPD are seemed not to be bothered about our complaint, and it seems customers DO NOT COUNT!!

Online order was ready on time, staff were very friendly and helpful

I never got my parcel - -after a few weeks and cannot get a hold of anyone at ambala

Ordered on line went to collect little early then time suggested,good read ,perfect service. Staff was very helpful and polite.
