The service was very customer centric. They kept us informed throughout the process and were extremely responsive to our inquiries. I would highly recommend American Senior.

Richard Hettish was my loan officer and he did a great job in closing my loan on time. Richard is an expert on the Reverse Mortgage Loans and his knowledge & communication is what makes the transaction so easy and with no stress. I would definitely will recommend him to my friends and family.

Greetings... First a little background on us. Scott leased the family farm at the age of 21 and was self employed for 50 years. Lupe started working for a local bank at the age of 21 as a teller and worked her way up the ladder to Operations Manager and a Vice President.

A Reverse Mortgage was not on our Bingo card. But after a couple health issues, we decided to check into it. We were a bit stressed out. Luckily, we connected with David Hernandez at American Senior. He gave us all the information we needed to know to start down the path. This flow of information never stopped. David was with us every step keeping us informed of the status and what would be next. It was a very positive experience for us from beginning to end.

We have always advised our 3 kids to find a career that they really enjoy because they will be much better at it. My point is I think David Hernandez really likes his job and it shows in the effort he puts into it.

We first looked into a reverse mortgage with Alex Dickson at American Senior early in 2025 but the numbers weren't where we wanted them. Alex stayed in touch with us and by May 2025, things were looking better and we ended up getting the reverse mortgage with more money back to us than we originally expected. It included the payoff of a HELOC that had a fairly high interest rate. The result was a huge improvement in our financial status five years into my retirement! Alex and American Senior were friendly, helpful, and made the whole process an easy one.

We first encountered David Hernandez as we finding out the information we needed to know before making a decision. American Senior was the 4th company we contacted. David answered all our questions, which were many, and always seemed glad to help. He kept us up to date on all aspects and documentation needed for the loan. All in all he helped us with making a big financial decision, and thank him for his assistance. He was great during all phases of the loan process!

As an octogenarian I am not very tech saavy but my agent, Richard Hettish, was very patient and got me through it. I wasn’t too sure I wanted a reverse mortgage but the terms were so good that I did it…and in record time.

David Hernandez helped me all the way through the process of getting a reverse mortgage by being there when I needed him, calling me back right away, and taking me through the steps that I didn't understand. He got it for me as quickly as he could because I needed the funds badly, acting with grace and politeness that just doesn't seem to exist today. He treated me as if I were his mother, and I relaxed and knew I was in good hands.

During the several months in 2025, I was “out there” seeking solutions to my home mortgage issues, when I contacted Alex Dickson, a Mortgage Loan Originator, from High Tech Lending and American Senior Lending.

My plan was simply to gather data and not sign anything. My intent was to check the many lenders and identify which lenders, if any, could help me secure financing and thus secure my home without putting me at greater risk, or reducing the value in my home. I was not convinced anyone could or would give me a fair and financially sound option.

In that position I started working with Alex Dickson and was surprised at the support he could provide – the context, possible issues, alternatives, evaluation criteria, and weights. The process was smooth and deliberate, and well-paced. He answered each of my questions completely and deferred to my needs and my understanding above his own schedule, pressures, or priorities.

Above all, Alex Dickson is a very capable, energetic, and ethical person. Essentially, he is his own “best practice”. In my work, we had a program to study what successful employees do that unsuccessful ones don’t do and then what unsuccessful employees do that successful ones avoid. Alex should be one of those role models for those employees wanting to “do it right.”

On the communications side, Alex addressed my concerns and hesitations honestly, respectfully, and completely --- the financial options, legal constraints, procedural requirements --- always clarifying what could be modified and what was nonnegotiable and why.

I am certain I would not have pursued the Reverse Mortgage were it not for Alex, his advice, counselling and encouragement, not to mention his very confident and kind demeanor.

David Hernandez made our experience very wonderful. He was more helpful than I expected. David took an interest in who we were and what our goals were. He provided us with all of the pros as well as any pitfalls. We felt like we were dealing with a friend who had our interests in mind.
David provided us with very specific monetary information before we ever submitted our application. In the end, his information was spot on. I would rate David Hernandez at the top of his game.

My experience was made great by David Hernandez . He's very professional and also personable. He walked me through the process and I was less stressed. The paperwork's very tedious , but Hernandez offered to send someone to help me which was very thoughtful. All in all I'm very satisfied.

Our reverse mortgage application was extremely complicated, including foreign income. Mario and Cheryl were beyond tenacious and left no stone unturned in sorting out 100% of the details required for the mortgage. They spent endless hours and months working on our behalf. There is no better company or people on the planet if you need a mortgage!.
