Shreepali held our hand through the whole experience from start to finish. The financials were particularly complicated and her online mediation sessions were invaluable and everything was broken down and explained to us clearly. She is a very lovely person, remained professional at all times and never sided with either of us, treated us both fairly. It was a long process but that was mainly due to my ex husbands mental health, the length of time to sell the family home and working out all the financials but we got there in the end. I would thoroughly recommend using Amicable if a couple has mutually agreed (amicably) to part their separate ways.

Having obtained quotes from solicitors, it became apparent that divorcing using 'traditional' methods would be too expensive. I was originally quoted £20k minimum. So, on the recommendation of a recently divorced friend who'd had good experience, I checked out Amicable.
From beginning to end the experience was friendly and professional. Service and costs were explained. My ex and I were advised to look at our end outcome, and what the courts would typically look for, and keep that in mind throughout the experience.
Over the sessions we had with Shreepali, she remained impartial, and constructive in helping us to reach a financial agreement that we were both happy to accept.
Once agreed, Amicable made the process of writing up the financial order and processing through the court very simple.
6 months after our first meeting, I'm now divorced.

Shreepali at Amicable was excellent throughout the divorce process. She managed the paperwork, timelines, and communications efficiently, kept the process structured and made sure nothing important slipped through the cracks. Her guidance on how to do disclosure, court orders, and next steps was clear and practical which removed a lot of uncertainty at a stressful time. Being business partners and also promising our grown up children that if we ever divorced it would always be amicable meant that we couldn't allow anything acrimonious in our split. Nothing prepares you for how you will feel after breaking up - especially after 3 decades. We'd pretty much agreed everything on the back of a fag packet, but there were contentious issues. Shreepali looked after us, and not only was she kind and empathetic, but she held our hands through the process and helped us navigate any issues. If you don't want to waste your children's inheritance and your share of the proceeds in a break up then I would suggest you use Amicable. It really does live up to it's name and has prevented us from not only falling out, but also ensured that we've spent the minimal amount in splitting up. The whole process is quick and efficient but still manages to feel sympathetic and kind. Doing things online only worried me a bit at first because I thought it would feel impersonal, but Shreepali was so sincere and competent we actually want to meet her and thank her in real life. Cannot recommend enough. Keeping things amicable is better for everyone.

£1500 buys you one 30-minute phone call with an advisor, the rest has to be done by email. Their divorce specialists are overloaded with work and take days to respond to queries. The spreadsheet they gave us was full of errors, as were the documents they drafted for the court. We spent months going back and forth trying to get them to understand what we wanted. All in all the process took months longer than it needed to and I didn't feel I received any useful advice.

Excellent from start to finish. Great value for money on the financial remedy draft. Very good communication throughout and a friendly but party-neutral approach to discussions. If you can resolve your divorce amicably, this is the service to use. Much better (and much cheaper) than getting down into the trenches and letting the solicitors fight it out.

Working with the team at Amicable was a truly positive experience. Working through a situation that could have been traumatic and stressful was so much easier than the alternative traditional route. We worked with Laura Kinsella, who enabled us to be respectful, responsible and accountable. Laura was patient, gracious and knowledgeable. The documents and templates and online dashboard ensured we were informed and aware at each stage of the process. I would like to thank everyone at Amicable, especially Laura, for providing such a valuable and compassionate service.

I was prepared to go through GOV.UK (Cost circa £600) because my ex husband and I were already amicable. But my ex was worried about the amount of paperwork we might have to go through. He wanted to make life easier for himself so he chose Amicable and was happy to pay circa £2000.00 because THEY TOLD HIM that they take the stress of all the admin away. Heads up: THEY DON'T. There's MORE admin going through them. I was frustrated by the amount of paperwork and I'm not averse to paperwork. I thought they were totally unnecessary for a couple who were basically on the same page. I found the process more distressing not less. My ex and I mediated ourselves as we didn't want to pay the extra for that service. Honestly, we had more upset going through Amicable than if we hadn't.

We used Amicable to reach a financial order agreement. The service provided by Gemma was excellent. She guided us both through the process during a stressful and very difficult time - she kept us updated and prompted us to do the actions required in a timely manner. It was easy to upload the necessary paperwork to their portal, and the dashboard was very useful, providing transparency of information as it is provided by each party. Gemma provided good advice about what would likely (and not likely) be accepted by the court.
Our divorce wasn’t as amicable as I had hoped, but I would still recommend using this service – ultimately it is a lot less stressful than the thought of dealing with solicitors and courts. It was good value for money too, compared to engaging separate solicitors.

Amicable really lived up to their name - they took what is inherently a stressful process and made it is smooth as possible. Our adviser, Daniel Martinez, explained complicated procedures in a clear and concise way, gave us excellent advice, and bore with us in what was a far from standard situation!
