Great atmosphere, lovely environment to cowrite and build community!

I am a single mother, full time teacher, song writing lover of music. That is in a very particular order - those are my priorities. Sometimes, if I can get time and space after the first two, I get to “indulge” in the third, which is the nourishment of my soul. And then came 30 Day Songwriter… This course gave me a daily shot in the arm and got me moving in my music and lyric writing. It woke me up and showed me I could work in some very creative ways in order to maintain momentum - think using your phone to reconstruct motifs on a train platform on your commute. With manageable daily exercises that I was able to complete on a time budget I was able to finish the course on time and the challenge led to improved technical skills in order to achieve it.

I’m not pretending I could maintain the pace I worked at, but I am able to go back through the materials again and again in order to have creative accountability. I also made a great network of songwriting peers all over the world through the Facebook group and daily feedback threads on the e-learning platform.

The course is well structured and has the right level of administration - enough to keep you accountable without feeling like you have overlords and, as such, has just the right level of flexibility. There is online content, that is presented multimodally, and a couple of live sessions throughout the month.

Above all Andrea and her team are competent, cheerful, thoughtful and, of course, Andrea is a leading expert in her field, so being able to have access to her wisdom and experience in a way that is both financially and temporally manageable is incredible. And you get the course for life so she’s always there to come back to.

Andrea Stolpe's 30 Minute Songwriter program is incredibly excellent on so many levels. Well thought out, incremental, concise and self paced. It covers many key aspects of songwriting without the music theory distraction. Good for beginners and on-going experienced songwriters. Best program I've done in a long time.

No frills, no showing of but down to earth useful information, tips and tools.

I found this course to be truly motivational. It was great to work along at specified tasks with a group of other songwriters. The comments and encouragement with the other group members was invaluable. Even though I've been writing songs for a long time I discovered some new tools to help break free of writer's block as well as the reasoning for other tools I've been using for years without knowing it. The course also gave me some insight into some fresh approaches for starting a song. I thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish.

Accessible, high quality content. Andrea Stolpe's 30-Minute Songwriter course was easy to access online, provided a high level of in-depth content, and encouraged meaningful interaction through posts of lesson practices & exercises.

This 30 day course was fantastic - each day focussed on a specific aspect of songwriting craft, covering lyrics and music. The lessons were well presented and practical whilst the assignments really helped to stimulate creativity. Towards the end of the second week I could feel myself setting into a nice rhythm and feeling more confident in my approach. I have a number of song starts now I can’t wait to finish and plenty of great tools to help me do so. I can’t recommend this enough to anyone wanting to give their songwriting a boost.

I think every songwriter should take this course. It's very well-balanced, organizes valuable information, and Andrea’s personality is incredible. Her calmness, precision, and generosity make all these tools seem easy to apply, and she renews enthusiasm day by day. I cannot give high enough stars for this songwriting course from Andrea. It has transformed my songwriting night and day, and renewed my excitement for songwriting. Not only do I now have a huge abundance of practical tools for writing when stuck, uninspired or struggling to finish songs and/or find creativity, but it also gave me a ton of eye opening moments for improving the quality of songs I’m writing! Truly invaluable!!! Joy is back in my writing process now, whereas it had started to become a chore. Signing up for this was one of the best decisions I ever made for myself and my songwriting will forever be changed.

Amazing courses and community.

I took the 30 minute songwriter course, and i can't think of a single better investment I've ever made in myself and my writing/composing. Throughout this course I have written more material than the 4 years prior combined. Andrea is an amazing teacher, the team behind her is very professional, and the students it attracts are all wonderful people. My warmest recommendations.

This retreat was exactly what I needed at this stage of my songwriting journey. Andrea is terrific, and the workshops and collaborations were beneficial to everyone in the group. I have more tools now for song ideas and for finishing songs. Thanks!

Definitely one of the best experiences I've had. Andrea is extremely knowledgably, kind and made me feel comfortable being vulnerable. So many like minded talented people I was amazed every night we had a presentation.

My experience on this retreat was a definite 5/5. I made connections and lifelong friends that I think I will look back and see as a pivotal moment in my musical journey. I learned a ton from Andrea and appreciated how hands on she was.
I think if there's anything I could have requested a little more of would have been to have more space allotted in the retreat for us working on our own personal half/partially written songs (in groups), rather than starting from scratch on every write. Even without as much time allotted to that, it was still a 5/5 experience that I hope to repeat. Life changing, for sure!

I highly recommend this retreat and experience for anyone wanting to inform and inspire their songwriting skills. I had the most amazing, engaging, and connective time and walked away having learned new access points into my creative process, while gaining a community of songwriting friends/collaborators. Andrea is generous with her knowledge and time and creates a warm, inviting space where everyone feels welcome to share, learn, and grow. There was a wide range of ages, skills, and goals amongst our group so if you are chosen to attend, do it! You will belong and learn so much!

Everything was well organized and Andrea, Madison and Myles were a pleasure to work with, at every level! I loved the week, and it made me think about songwriting in a new way and with new angles. Most of all, the community that’s created in 4 and a half days is incredible. Definitely recommend!
