Customer service is great. My pup loves the food minus the peas. Every time she picks out the peas! It’s hilarious.

The food is very good my dog Cena enjoyed it at first, but she’s not eating it now. But we did just move so it might be a settling in situation. I do have a comment though it would be nice if you cut the packages in half. Cena seems to eat the first half but when the second half sits in the refrigerator, she doesn’t seem to like it I’ve thrown a lot of it away. But it’s a fabulous product. I am a chef and I see the quality that’s put into it. I would recommend Pup Above. It’s just that Tina’s not eating it right now, but I don’t think it has anything to do with the quality of the food.

My furbabies favorite meals are Beef Stew and Turkey Palwella. I use these tastey toppers over their dry kibble and the benefits are amazing..
This food has made my dogs healthier, no more tummy issues, better breath, their coats are so shiny!
We had a shipping issue 2 weeks ago, and Bianca addressed it immediately. Food arrived promptly and no extra charges on my end.
You just need to try it, you're dogs will thank you!

Quality control is my main issue.
-There isn't consistency in cooking the dog food. Most of the time the food is overly cooked and hard to break up
-I have found 3 bones in the dog food. I have sent you a picture of them, The bones seem to be consistent in shape and size with one end of the bone very sharp and pointed.
- More often than not I will find any vegetables in a one lb meal packet.
-Recently you have changed how you pack a 7 lb bag of food. The five bags for dog food that are placed at the bottom of the bag, standing up instead lying them flat all freeze together. Very inconvenient to have to defrost all 5 bags of food in order to separate them.
-On the positive side, shipping has improved. OnTrac use to leave my box in the drive way, rain or shine, not the front door. They had shorted me a couple time the amount of bags that were to be shipped.

A pup above food has changed our dog’s life, no more struggling to get her to eat and adding home cooked toppers to the open farm kibble she used to eat happily for years. She’s now 13 and we switched after she was on bedrest and a course of steroids to treat intervertebral disc disease, and had gained weight bc she wasn’t enthusiastic to eat meals. I kept over-treating and then preparing toppers like cooked chicken and fresh and even cooked veggies, and she still wasn’t really interested in mealtime. She was 19.5 lbs after the bedrest to let her neck heal and we were at a loss. A local pet store in Madison Nj recommended freeze dried food but she didn’t like that either. We saw the A Pup Above sous vide chicken in bone broth and figured, worth a try. Well she went berserk for it and hasn’t stopped begging for dinner since that day (2 yrs ago now!) - the portioning of 1/2 lb brick per meal helped us not overfeed her and the ingredients put a spring in her step we hadn’t seen in ages. This fall the vet actually said she should have the amount of food increased, based on how her vertebrae felt - and she was back at 14.5 lbs, full of energy, with good lab work :)
Now we cut the 4th quarter into thirds and add 1 to each quarter, so each 1 lb brick is now 3 meals instead of 4. Totally worth it!
The website is so easy to place a one time order or make and modify a subscription, and the notifications ahead of each shipment and then again once shipped and delivered are convenient and reliable. The packaging with the dry ice and recyclable paper insulation work well to keep the food frozen til I can pop it in the freezer.
We were worried about traveling and convenience issues with the fresh food but just use a lunch bag with cold pack for roadtrips and then for air travel, we check the website ahead to scope out a local store near our destination, and it’s available at so many places now, we haven’t had any issues (and she’s a well traveled pup :)

One suggestion is to offer a referral link (or maybe I’ve just missed it?) since I frequently recommend A Pup Above to other dog people and would love to get a little discount for them to try it as well as off my next subscription order. I’ve received discount codes for leaving a review and her birthday (or maybe it was her A Pup Above anniversary?) which I needed to have customer support add to my order, so that could be improved upon.
Other suggestion is about the mfr’s coupons which I heard at 2 different local stores are difficult for them to get reimbursed/paid back so there isn’t much motivation for them to promote or even accept your offers such as a coupon to try a new flavor or a program to buy 10 bags (or maybe it’s 12?) and get the next bag free.

This is the best food for my pups. My girls had their yearly check up this morning and the Vet asked what kind of food do we feed them and when I said A Pup Above, he said great. Usually vets try and modify my dogs diet but with this food it is balanced and has all the nutrition they need. I buy A Pup Above for a few friends of mine that are having some financial difficulty because that is how much I believe in this food for a healthy, happy pet. They are like children to me, so they get only the best!

My 13 year old Havanese stopped eating her food all together. She was always my most avid eater and not picky at all. Since I have been feeding her high quality human grade food ( another brand)for the past few years , I was concerned.

I went to Mud Bay looking for an alternative quality product . I found A Pup Above. I was hesitant as I thought it was a bit pricy. One of the employees gave me a sample to try before buying and I could not believe how much my dog loved it! She looked up for more! I am so happy that she is back to her old self! I did go back to the store to thank the staff and bought more A Pup Above. (Then went on line to get it directly from the company at a better price and delivered to my door)! Thank you!

Our dogs love the food. And all of them have lost weight using A Pup Above.

Also now your option only allow 2 bags at a time which is very annoying

I have been ordering the chicka bow wow for a few years. It is always on time. I have been pleased with the food and I have any questions customer servicenhas been fast to respond.

I’ve had really great experiences with a pup above for the last few years with my dog before and my newer dog. The food quality’s been great. It comes directly to you and my current dog. It has a lot of food allergies so it’s perfect for her.

My frenchie, Jaxx, is picky. I started with Farmers Dog for 6-8 months, then added NomNom every other order. I then used Claude to help me with research on picky eaters like Jaxx. I landed on trying A Pup Above. He loves loves loves it. All the different flavors helps even more. Highly recommend APA for your pup.

The food is always fresh and delivery is always on time and we are kept up-to-date. We put ours on top of some kibble and we have very picky goldendoodles who are sweet but are very particular about what they eat. And they enjoy a pup above. It never gets wasted.

My dog loves both the freezer food and the dried food. If I give her too much of the dried she does get some loose poop, but it really is the only food she will eat, besides the car food.

Our pups are enjoying the Turkey Pawella and remain very active and healthy. We searched and tried several fresh food options. A Pup Above Tirkey Pawella has been the best. Also, the subscription is easy to manage. It saves us money and time.

We have always fed our pups healthy food, but last fall one of our frenchies was diagnosed with pancreatitis in addition to pyloric stenosis. He was in the vet hospital for 5 days, in terrible shape and not eating solid food. We knew we had to move to a low fat, easily digestible food. Our wonderful doggie store near us recommended A Pup Above and the pork version. We started very slow, but he was eating it well and gaining weight back. We closely calculate how much he eats a day and we’ve reached a good amount. We love that it’s slow cooked and it looks and smells like real food! The auto ship is easy to manage and ships fast. We had a situation where one of our 7lb bags was missing a patty and I reached out to see if we could get a coupon for one patty so our timing still matched our auto ship and they just sent a full bag! Wow! Great customer service. The only tiny complaint I have is that the weight of the patties aren’t always 1lb. Normally, this wouldn’t be a big deal, but because of our dog’s health issues, we are very careful about how much he is eating. I used to just cut the patties, but now I have to weigh them. That said, our other two dogs are crazy jealous of his delicious meals. One of them sits next to him while he eats and waits to lick the empty bowl!

We like the Pup Above food and our king charles loves it.She did not like the fish or turkey but she loves the texas beef stew and chicken and pork!

Responded immediately to my question. I wanted to increase my deliveries. So far it is 100%. Every time I have contacted A Pup Above, I get the same great customer service. PS: I am so happy I increased my deliveries. I was exhausted trying to find what I wanted at pet stores. My dogs are doing great on A Pup Above.

Hi, I got my dog food, but the problem was that it didn’t come with the dry ice as usual. Because it is summer all the bags inside had started to defrost and they were not completely frozen like it has been before. Because it is human grateful it is worrisome that it comes that way.

The food is great for my cavalier, a the shipping is fast.

My only complaint is that I live and order from two different locations. The website makes ordering with correct address unwieldy. Why cannot I enter both addresses and then just click on address for current order?
