How very strange that others give bad reviews of AQL. I've had first 2 then 3 numbers with them for over 10 years and found it a 5 star service. I'm talking about their £2 a month phone numbers, call... もっと見る

They sell a dysfunctional e:mail forwarding service

They sell a mail forwarding service, but fail to advise the people paying for the service when the forwarded e:mail is rejected. And they don't care about receiving money by false pretences.

Great texting service

We have used AQL for a few years now and we can’t fault it. It’s a fantastic service that enables us to section our data and text groups.

Attentive support staff, poor company performance

Despite a very attentive support staff, the firm have decided not to meet their obligation to reliably forward e:mail to Yahoo! Although Yahoo! advise when e:mails forwarded to them are not accepted because of their inability to cope with the load, AQL (unlike, for instance, Tutamail) have decided not to advise their victims of this disruption to their contractual obligation. furthermore, AQL were aware their e:mails were being rejected by Yahoo! 3 weeks before I noticed, but they did not advise me of the breach of contract. Unfortunately based on my misconception of AQL's integrity I have embedded use of their 'services' in my life management procedures, and am finding it very difficult to unentangle myself from them, making it necessary to go on paying them for the part of the service which does seem to be working.

We have been in contact with your mail provider in order to try and help you resolve your issue around mail forwarding. Their engineers have looked into the issue and confirmed that they have taken all possible steps to support delivery on their end. Regrettably, it seems that your problem has not been resolved following this.
As this particular issue is a problem on the side of the mail provider rather than aql, unfortunately there are no further steps we can take to resolve the issue for you.
We appreciate that this must be frustrating, and will do what we can to support you in your decisions going forward.

aql - Unable to reconcile their accounts across systems

13/2/2025 I have been trying to sort out an account statement with them since September 2021! Even though when I login to their system the charges aren't shown, every month they send me an account statement showing that I'm in debt??

19/2/2025 Following my above review aql have had their developers working on the problem and I'm now told that they have fixed the problem. I'm revisiting my review at the request of aql and I am ready to admit that they have pulled the stops out to fix the problem. However as I have told them while they have finally fixed the problem why did I have to write this review to get any attention to my problem?
I await my next statement and hopefully I won't have a need to return here!

excellent customer service

As usual, excellent customer service from AQL.
They keep me posted every step of the way. All queries are dealt with in an efficient and timely manner. whether it`s a fault or the porting of numbers.

I have been with AQL for over 20 years

I have been with AQL for over 20 years, this recent review is typical of the service I have received over the years. Not being technical, I found it hard to explain on a ticket, what I wanted to achieve. The phone was answered quickly by a clear speaking gentleman, who was knowledgeable and helpful and explained what I needed to put on the ticket. The call took less than a couple of minutes. I raised a ‘medium’ ticket, which was completed by AQL and solved within a couple of hours. I was very impressed by the efficiency and speed carried out by AQL, in what, was a non urgent request.

You sorted out a problem with forwarding emails to a yahoo account. You were professional and I would have given 5 stars if it hadn't taken so long, which I don't think was entirely your fault.

Could never get it working

Setup a number and put £5 of credit but couldn't get it working so went elsewhere. The portal is tragic, and whilst you'll easily find how to buy credit, a tariff is nowhere to be found. I did request a refund but it never happened. You'd think they'd be more selective when sending out invitations to review.

No ticket number was provided, I was only interested in retail tariffs and yes, any money you give them in non-refundable even if it doesn't work.

Looking at the ticket number you provided, I’ve been able to see that you couldn’t find tariff information as you were seeking wholesale pricing and services, which is not something the portal caters to. If you have other suggestions or complaints about your experience using the portal, please let us know - customer feedback is extremely valuable in allowing us to improve our services.
In terms of providing a refund, our terms of service do state that credit purchases are non-refundable. I understand this may be disappointing and should you wish to use the credit, please get in touch with our support team who will be happy to help you get the number working.
