We only use ARK at the estate agents I work at. They provide excellent service on all electrical work, we use them for all EICRs. We also use them for other works too. Alex Jones is brilliant, he is easily reachable and answers any questions I have.

Very efficient service from start to…
Very efficient service from start to finish. I emailed the office and the EICR was quickly booked in with my tenants. I then received a pass certificate without any issues

Be careful. This company failed an EICR on a modern flat and pushed for an unnecessary consumer unit upgrade with RCDs, followed by an expensive quote for remedial works. It felt like an attempt to generate additional work rather than provide an honest assessment.

The EICR was carried out by a NAPIT-registered engineer. The property had no RCD protection on any circuit — RCDs are the primary defence against fatal electric shock for tenants, and their complete absence is a C2 observation under NAPIT Codebreakers guidance, not a matter of opinion. We provided detailed regulatory references, circuit-by-circuit breakdowns, and layman’s explanations across multiple written exchanges.
The “independent contractor” you reference did not inspect or test the installation and issued no certification.
The installation remains unsatisfactory — our sole concern is the safety of the tenant.

Outstanding Service and Professionalism – From Arvi, aka “Dutch”
Arvi came to replace the electrical system in my flat, and I couldn’t be happier with the service. He was polite, professional, and did an excellent job. He answered all the questions I had and made sure everything was thoroughly checked before completing the work.
My hat’s off to him and to the receptionist, who kept me updated about the engineer’s whereabouts throughout the process. Truly great customer service!

Disputed EICR Classification – Independent Engineers Disagreed
ARK REACT - Trading Title is ARK Group Services LTD.
ARK Group Services carried out an EICR at my property which was marked “Unsatisfactory” with multiple C2 observations and associated remedial costs.
Given that no changes had been made since a previous satisfactory EICR, I sought independent guidance. Electrical Safety First referenced industry Best Practice Guide 4 and suggested that several items recorded as C2 would more appropriately fall under C3.
I then appointed an independent NAPIT-registered electrician, and a second engineer also reviewed the installation. Both disagreed with the original C2 classifications and certification was issued accordingly.
I invited ARK to provide technical clarification through the Estate Agent who gave them the job regarding their coding decisions but did not receive a substantive response.
I would welcome ARK Group Services responding publicly to explain the basis on which their C2 classifications departed from industry Best Practice Guide 4 guidance.

Thank you for your feedback. We take all technical queries regarding Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR) very seriously, as our primary responsibility is the safety of the property and its occupants.
At ARK Group Services, our NAPIT-registered inspectors do not rely on generalized interpretations. Instead, we use NAPIT Codebreakers, the industry-leading resource designed to provide specific, definitive coding in line with BS 7671 (The IET Wiring Regulations).
An EICR is a "point-in-time" assessment. Even if no physical changes have been made to an installation, the standards for safety and the understanding of electrical risks evolve. Observations that were previously acceptable may be classified as a C2 (Potentially Dangerous) under current Codebreaker standards to ensure the highest level of protection against fire or electric shock.
While we respect that other engineers may have a different risk appetite, our coding is based on a strict adherence to these NAPIT-backed safety protocols. We apologize if our technical reasoning was not clearly communicated through the Estate Agent at the time.

I am very disappointed with the service I received. The process was plagued by delays, poor communication, and inaccurate information from start to finish. My original inspection appointment was cancelled on the day and rescheduled, causing unnecessary inconvenience. After the inspection was eventually carried out, I was repeatedly given conflicting explanations about why my report had not been issued — including being wrongly told that I hadn’t paid, despite payment already being confirmed.
The report was only released after I escalated the matter, which should not have been necessary. Even more concerning, the EICR was marked as a fail with recommended remedial works. When I sought assistance arranging the work, no one could provide guidance or support. However, after involving my letting agents, an appointment was suddenly arranged, which highlighted the lack of proactive service from the company itself.
Due to my concerns, I instructed another qualified electrician who inspected the property the same day and issued a passed EICR within hours. I then consulted two additional electricians, both of whom confirmed that the original failed report appeared inaccurate. This strongly undermined my confidence in the reliability of the initial inspection.
Overall, this experience caused significant stress, delayed a tenant move-in, and led to unnecessary costs. Based on the poor service, misinformation, and questionable findings, I cannot recommend this company.

Codebreakers is a rigorous industry resource that provides definitive requirements for what constitutes a C2 (Potentially Dangerous) condition. While another electrician may choose to pass an installation, our priority is to ensure that every property meets the specific safety standards laid out in BS 7671. We classify items as "Unsatisfactory" only when the codified evidence suggests a genuine risk to the occupants or the property.
We regret that the move-in was delayed, but our primary duty of care is to ensure that any tenant entering a property is backed by a robust and uncompromising safety report.

I had a mixer tap replaced
I had a mixer tap replaced, and I’m very pleased with the service. The plumber arrived on time, explained the work clearly, and completed the installation efficiently. Everything was tested properly before leaving, and the area was left clean and tidy. Communication was good throughout, and the pricing was clear. I would definitely use this company again and would recommend them to others.

Highly recommended
I don't normally write reviews, however I would like to make an exception.
I have a number of rental properties, which has increased over the last 10 years. ARK have successfully carried out maintenance on my rental properties for the last 8 years and I can honestly say the work has been first class.
Not only are their prices reasonable but it has taken out the stress and worry that us landlords have and allowed me to focus on other aspects. They have dealt with issues promptly and are quick to respond when I need emergency work to be carried out.

Toiletgate - #77262
18/9 Ark were called out to my tenants to repair a toilet, # 77262. They charged a £90 call out and then raised a quote to complete a simple toilet repair for £780 and suggested a handyman would need to go in after and 'make good' [there solution was to smash the toilet off of the wall]. Quote was politely refused and a local plumber repaired it for £190.

Initially, we provided a quote for the minor repairs that were needed. However, upon inspection, due to the condition of the toilet our engineer was not confident that they could work on the corroded fixings without rendering the toilet completely unfunctional. As a result, we recommended a replacement and provided a full quotation for this work.
Last week when we were informed of this situation, we issued a credit note for the call-out charge immediately. This was confirmed to your property agent on the 19th of October.
