Terrible Experience Dealing With This Company

Placed an order for 7 acoustic panels on Black Friday. Received a dispatch email on Monday. Emailed a couple times asking for tracking details with no reply. Received an email almost a week later saying my order was sold out and items will be back in stock in 2-4 weeks. I asked for my order to be cancelled and money refunded so I can purchase the panels elsewhere but seller is not cooperating. I’ve had to file a case on PayPal to get my money back and still they haven’t engaged with PayPal. Customer service is really poor and would not recommend this company.

EDIT 04/12/23 - This company’s solution seems to only want to settle a refund outside of PayPal by asking for the PayPal case to be closed then they will issue a bank transfer refund. Make your own judgement but I would not advise anyone reading this to trust this company.

EDIT 05/12/23 - I would like to state again, this company is only offering a full refund if I cancel my PayPal case which I will not, and this is a problem for them. PayPal is my only chance to get my money back. I asked for my order to be cancelled 5 days ago and still haven’t received a cancellation email from their Shopify website. They claim to be trying to help but in fact done absolutely nothing since I placed my order 11 days ago.

There’s a lot of red flags about this company.
False information about order been dispatched, no tracking number provided, no cancellation emails, refunds can’t be processed via original payment method but can be done by bank transfer only if you close your PayPal case and hope for the best. Again make your own judgement about this company before ordering from them.

PayPal have given this company until 12th December to reply on the case before they step in. There’s no risk of a double refund! The company have my bank details, they can issue my refund today and send proof of transfer and I will cancel the PayPal case today. It is that simple, but they ain’t trustworthy and would rather sit on their hands and only reply to my Trustpilot review instead of issuing my refund.

We're a little confused as to why you have stated you emailed us a couple of times about a tracking number without a reply. You emailed asking why you couldn't use a 20% off promotional code on the website for black Friday even though the 20% sale was already live. We replied and explained the situation to you the same day.

Now, regarding the inconvenience with your order, we acknowledge the frustration caused by the website continuing to sell out-of-stock Oak panels. We only became aware of this issue during the order packing process after Cyber Monday. We understand the inconvenience this may have caused you, and we sincerely apologize for any frustration it may have caused.

Regarding your refund, we initiated the process promptly upon your request. Unfortunately, we encountered a hiccup with PayPal, which led to a delay. To expedite the resolution, we've offered to process a manual payment for you. We understand the importance of timely responses, and we apologize for not getting back to your email over the weekend, Our customer service teams works Mon-Fri.

UPDATE:
We have a problem with our Paypal due to several fraudulent orders being put through over the Black Friday/ Cyber Monday Weekend. We are currently working with Paypal to fix the issue. We offered to send the client a full refund in the meantime, but for some reason, this client sees this as a problem. We are trying to speed things up and help them get a refund quicker. We've asked you to cancel the case with Paypal to take away the risk of the refund being processed twice, that's a very normal request.

An absolutely disgusting company

An absolutely disgusting company.
I ordered panels and they sent the incorrect ones.
After several emails and phone calls they came to collect the panels and brought the darker colour. They were nothing like the image on their website. The driver collected the panels and took the darker ones.
I’ve now been charged 30.00 for transport costs when the driver was collecting the wrong panels in the first place
The owner is beyond rude and has replied to my email calling me “irrational”. How dare you!!!!

We're sorry to hear that you are not happy with the service that we offered.

Again apologies for the inconvenience with your first delivery. There was a mix-up with SKUs within our delivery system, therefore you were delivered the wrong shade of oak. We asked you to email over an image of what you received, once received we could organise an exchange for you. This is a standard policy and needs to be adhered to by staff when processing an exchange. Unfortunately for whatever reason, we didn't receive any images from you. You then called a day later & this was when things got a little sour. With all honestly Lauren, you were very aggressive, rude & demanding to multiple staff members. We instructed you to resend the images, which you did and we managed to organise a replacement for you immediately. You advised you had changed your mind and wanted a different colour, you also requested a specific day in which you wanted us to come and exchange your order, which we did.

When exchanging your panels you opened the box and said it wasnt the colour you wanted & turns out you were trying to match our panels with panels you had purchased elsewhere. You refused delivery and instructed the delivery driver to take the order back with him.

It clearly states within our returns policy, that we do not offer a free returns service. If your order is returned to us there is a cost for the transport. This is very standard within businesses that sell building materials like ourselves.

In regards to emails and calls, Lauren on one day you emailed our customer service team 6 times in two hours. Every time you called we spoke with you, every time you emailed we called you or emailed back. You are very rude & aggressive and we don't expect any of our staff to have to tolerate being spoken to in that manner.

Ordered some decking trim .
My husband has worked in the caravan leisure industry and stated this is the best he has seen in comparison. So was very pleased as you cannot order samples of the trim just the decking . Maybe that should be a consideration.
Had a little hiccup with the order going astray but was soon rectified and arrived very quickly.

Good Product

Quick delivery but 1 out of 3 panels was delivered unprotected with visible water damage and surface marks. The backing felt soaked up the moisture and has swollen the timber fins. The box containing the two other panels was soaked on delivered but contents seems to be ok. Overall quality of panels seems good.

UPDATE - Panel replaced quickly with no damage and dealing with the customer service team was effortless and provided updates through the change process. Would purchase again from Artificial Living
