This is an update to my review on February 3,2024. The experience I wrote about was all valid and all that I described happened but shortly thereafter I received a call from the supervisor in Baton Rouge, LA, who said to me that the situation did need to be remedied. I was beyond grateful because up to that point I felt that they didnât care. New hearing aids with the cross wave technology were ordered for me and they use regular batteries instead of the digital ones that were so unreliable for some with such severe hearing loss. In addition to that I was referred to Michelle Macione at the Slidell,
LA Audible office to get the new aids. Ms. Macione was wonderful and she adjusted the aids so that I am now hearing so much better than ever before. She will continue to adjust them to provide an even better hearing experience as my brain acclimates to each adjustment. I am so pleased to have the benefit of her abilities and experience and I intend to continue to go to that office for all future appointments. I am so grateful to the supervisor in Baton Rouge and to Ms. Macione for their provision of service and restoring my faith in Audible.
Do not buy this garbage
I have had my hearing aids for nearly a year. I hate these things with a passion. I still canât hear very well and they are constantly mixing up settings. The app is terrible and it appears that there is some ageism involved here. Instead of being able to control these things yourself, you are given very minimal control and need to run back to the audiologists every time something goes wrong. Music sounds awful. An outdoor situation is untenable because these things seem to be designed for people who donât move all day. I spent a lot on these things but I hate them so much I am in the market for new heating aids. Believe me, every chance I get to review these things or comment on social media, it will be as negative as possible to dissuade people from buying your crappy product.

This review is to update my submission on 25th December 2023. I have now been using Audibel Intrigue 24 aids for over 3 months. In my first review I criticised the unreliability of the Bluetooth connection to the 'My Audibel app' on my Samsung S10e mobile phone. Since then I have changed my device to the latest phone with the latest One UI, Android 14 and Bluetooth 5.3 software. This has now solved the problem. What is amazing is that my natural hearing while not wearing the aids (during the night, first thing in the morning and last thing at night) has dramatically improved, not enough to be able to dispense with using the aids during the day, but enough to give me confidence and pleasure. I would now have no hesitation in recommending Audibel or Alan my Audiologist Hearbrite in North Wales as he was right when he said the problem was with my old phones technology.

My first hearing aids Audibel Intregue 24 R RIEand fitted by a registered UK audiologist.
After one months wearing 12 hours a day. I can now form an opinion. The sound clarity and quality compared with my natural hearing is superb. I cried with joy when I heard my Great Grandsons breathing while he was sleeping. Down side are the Bluetooth connection drops out in the right ear everytime I leave my phone and go out of range even to the bathroom!! Then take them out put them into the Dock charger and refit them in my ears. Or turn off and reboot my Samsung Android phone often works away from home. Advice having them loosing Bluetooth connection 6+ times a day is a pain. So if you use an android phone buy another make !!
I RECOMMEND AUDIBEL FOR ANY HEARING NEEDS.
The people at my Alabama location are professional and have taken care of every aspect of my hearing. From testing my hearing to the final process of the actual fitting process. i,m very greatful for all that they have done to make me happy.
I purchased the Audibel Intrigue AI
I purchased the Audibel Intrigue AI, hoping to get the best hearing aid possible. These things are nothing but trouble. The app constantly crashes or loses its Bluetooth functionality. The hearing aids are flimsy and do not work well with an active lifestyle. If you sweat or do any physical activity, they pop out of your ears or worse yet, the dome gets stuck in your ear. This has happened two times, and each time required a trip to the doctorâs office because an audiologist is not allowed to pull something out of your ear. These things are rooted in the past. Every adjustment require a trip to the audiologistâs office. Appointments are hard to get and they donât seem to keep regular hours. There are companies with a more modern business models. This place feels like going back to 1975.
Why Audibel will not allow another Audiologist to adjust the Aids?
Over 5 years ago, I purchased a pair of Start 1000 Aids for over $ 4000. For over 3 years, they worked well even though the Audibel franchisee could only set it up for just 1 setting. The 2nd setting was pretty much like the first setting and the 3rd setting was always useless due to my loss of high frequency sounds and I would always have to use Captions when watching TV. I would take them for cleaning a couple of times a year and they worked fine.
Over the past year and a half, I have developed Tinnitus and the Audibel folks have been encouraging me to upgrade to the Intrigue A1 which had a good test run. I am going on a long vacation in 2 weeks, and I went to UGA Audiloogy Clinic to have them program it such it would work in conjunction with my Tinnitus and they have certified Audiologists there who can probably program it better.
They called Starkey who told them that no one inside 50 miles is allowed to program them as they only support their own dealers. I was very dismayed to hear that as this sounds like a racket and why FTC is now deregulating them.
The fine folks from who I purchased the Start 1000 for just dont have the expertise to get them to program it right. They have tried it several times. After paying $ 4000, I find it hard to believe that Audibel will not allow another Audiologist to try and fix them before I resort to a new pair which is inevitable as technology has got better. The customer svc person told me that I should travel 50 miles to another city and see if they can help. Even the fine folks who sold and service the Aids were surprised and wish they could help.
If an Audibel person is actually reading these, can you give a phone number and a name of a person who can address this in a professional manner. Thank you for your kind help.

when I sweat the hearing aids start crackling and if I walk out of my house to my car with the slightest bit of moisture start, crackling went back to the store. Explain that had them since November of last year. I was told they never heard of that before but maybe I should buy a sweat band and wear a hat.
Then I was told oh by the way the new ones are waterproof. My statement was so I guess Iâm out of luck and I didnât get any answer.
So after spending $5000 for hearing aids, donât get any moisture on them at all or theyâre useless you have to put them in your storage box with the moisture disc for a day
Oh, by the way, they did tell me I could buy an electronic moisture box that will dry them faster

I took my mother, 85 years of age to the Audibel Centre in Nairobi, Kenya, based at Lions Eye Clinic Loresho. We are fortunate that we got to know about the Audibel centre a day before my visit to the centre. My intention was to get a quote for hearing aids. We did an audiology test elsewhere as we did not know about Audible centre at the time. Victor & Halima were very helpful; they have a humane approach, patient & thoughtful. I shared with Victor the audiology report, he carried out a eardrum test. We bought the hearing aids same time; programing was also done. Since I am the care giver I am updating mums hearing aids experience in the Time, Practice & Experience catalogue/journal which we'll share with the Audibel centre during our next visit two weeks from now. I shall keep you updated on the hearing aids experience.
Happiness is Audibel Hearing
My experience with Audibel Hearing Charlotte was very good. Danny pearce gave me smaller ear pods (they're more comfortable), he set my volume higher to correspond with my 10% hearing loss, gave me a hearing test, advice on my hearing (no more Q-tips), and he listened to me and answered all my questions.
I will be back in 6 months and I'm sure the service will be as good as this recent visit!

I wish I had chosen another place to get my mother's hearing aids. The Audibel in Bradenton on Cortez is horrible. They change staff every few months or so, so you rarely work with the same person more than 3 times. I have also had a problem with them, I had a hearing test and was told I would be able to get a copy for my records. I filled out a form and was told about a week. I waited nearly a month and asked the office why. I was told so sorry, it will be done right away. I waited and waited. Finally I called the office myself and was told it would be sent. I waited and was told it had been sent, which I found out later was a lie. I even scanned the request for records and sent a email request, nothing. Then I am told by the office that they had no intention of sending me anything that they don't release them for any reason. I had dropped my mom's hearing aids off and told them to send them in for service because they stopped working. They called me in a week later and told me to bring my mom. I found out at that time they had never sent them in for service, they had been sitting there for a week. When I challenged the little man, he got very aggressive with me and told me that all conversations are being filmed and recorded. So, if you go there, smile you are on camera, but I implore you to not use their services, very unprofessional, and with the constant changing of staff, not reliable.
Not compatible with my lifestyle
Not compatible with my lifestyle. Poor quality hearing aids which the charging cable falls out of the charger so I never know if my aids are charged and die within a few hours. Hearing aids fall out when I run, remove a mask, touch my hair, or wear my glasses. Parts fall off these hearing aids. They gave me a set that is incompatible with my smart phone. This was not a cheep adventure, but the poor quality is extremely evident. I asked for a refund at my first follow up and was denied. I look forward to my benefits renewing so I can pick a different company for my hearing needs.
CIC in Unreliable
My Audibel CIC hearing aids have just passed the three year old mark. I would give the staff of my local center five stars for the original testing and responsiveness to issues. The product is another story. I've been very disappointed in a pair of hearing aids that originally cost over $4000. Both hearing aids had microphones fail one or more times during the two year warranty period and both had failures at 2 1/2 years that cost me $600 per ear to repair. They are now in a one year warranty period and one of them has already failed twice. The local staff can't even open the case on CIC instruments so they have to be sent to Minnesota each time. They are clearly a troublesome design. On the positive side, they work well when they work and I'm happy with my hearing improvement. I will try another company for my next pair though.

...Junk...Paid $1800 just over 2 yrs ago...1st timer...I didn't know...Have had a variety of issues with the Start H/A's...The biggest being the 'rubber' seals on the unit...Less than a year old & they turned to mush from earwax, etc...Volume/program micro switches likewise 'melted'...And Starkey tells me $400 to repair...EACH!...I could go on, but I'll stop there...Will NEVER deal with these jokers again...Extremely sorry for an 'American' company...If there was a zero...Woulda used that...

If I could give Fayetteville Audible a zero star I would after doing business with them for over 5 years and purchasing multiple hearing aids I've come to find that they are the worst if you are a person that has a family and you have bills I suggest you not go to audible because you will be broke and you won't be able to take care of your family I paid thousands of dollars for my hearing aid and then I go to get it checked again and they tell me it needs to be repaired for $600 hear me out I don't mind paying the money if it's worth it but I have been going back and forth to audibel regarding this same device over and over again with more excuses than I need then I asked for paperwork to help me with the claim on getting my disability for hearing and they flat out refused to give me any information out of my files as though they are scared or hiding something I do not recommend them to anyone and if you're rich and you have money to throw away then I guess this is the right place for you other than that I have no good words to say to them they do have one good reception it's her name is Beverly and she is very kind however the worker Ryan who is just as he say a hearing specialist and not a audiologist if you feel like you can't help me then you should have referred me out somewhere else and not just keep taking my money I give them a zero star with a minus behind that
Three months after after the 2 yearâŠ
Three months after the 2 year Audibel warranty lapsed, the rechargeable batteries failed to stay charged a full 8 hour day! Initially they stayed charged a full 12hours. Upon presenting the aids to Audibel, they told me the rechargeable batteries are not covered under their warranty. New batteries cost $399 each!! That is absurd!!! They would not do anything for me! Rechargeable hearing aid batteries are less than a tenth of that cost on the internet! What a rip off!!
