It all started one day when I was casually scrolling through Facebook and stumbled upon a link for a Douglas Mystery Box. It was advertised as just $2, and even though I’m usually cautious about these things, I thought, “Why not? It’s only $2!” Simple enough, right? Well, that’s where the fraudulent fun began.

I entered my credit card details, address, name, and phone number—thinking this was all for a harmless mystery box. But instead of just being charged once for $2, I ended up getting charged twice. Once for Automotofusion and again for Aracingday. I thought, “Wait a minute, why are transport companies charging me? What does this have to do with Douglas?” So, I decided to investigate.

I tracked down both websites, started a chat, and it got worse from there. The agents on both websites claimed they had no idea about the ad and weren’t involved at all. Funny, because they sure knew how to charge me $2 each. But the real shocker came when I learned that by paying for this $2 “Douglas Box,” I had unknowingly signed up for an account on both websites—and had an ongoing subscription running, which would have charged me monthly if I hadn’t caught it in time. Had I not immediately contacted them to cancel the subscriptions, I would’ve been stuck with monthly charges.

To make matters worse, they refused to refund my $2, which I thought I paid for a Douglas box, not a surprise subscription to two random websites. I requested the subscription be canceled, and after 14 long days, I received a confirmation. I thought everything was finally over, but no!

Fast forward to now, and I get emails from both Automotofusion and Aracingday on the same day, claiming I have a gift card waiting in my account. I thought, “Wait, didn’t I ask for my account to be deleted?” Turns out, they didn’t delete anything—just canceled the subscription. So, I went back to the chat to ask for my account details to be deleted immediately.

But here’s the kicker: they refused to delete my details on chat and wouldn’t escalate the issue to a supervisor. Instead, they told me to send them an email, promising a response in 30 minutes. Guess what? No response. Instead, Aracingday sent me an email asking me to leave a positive review on TrustPilot. How ironic!

In conclusion, Automotofusion and Aracingday are absolutely connected (their chat agents even use the same templates), and they’re running one massive scam operation. If you don’t want to get roped into this, please, don’t make the same mistake I did.

And to Automotofusion and Aracingday—if you want to scam people, at least be a bit more creative with your chat templates and emails. You guys are the worst of the worst.

Automotofusion Scam Alert!!!!!

It all started one day when I was casually scrolling through Instagram and stumbled upon a link for Shein Warehouse Clearing Mystery Box. It was advertised as just R36, and even though I’m usually cautious about these things, I thought, “Why not? It’s only R36”

I entered my card details, and everything. But instead of being charged by Shein I was charged by Automotofusion. I then started to be suspicious but didn’t follow it up because I just thought to myself I have just been possibly scammed R36 (11 May 2025), and let it slip,

Little did I know that with that transaction I have just signed myself into an ongoing scam subscription,
Luckily I always check my bank account transactions almost on a daily basis, and the third week just after the incident date, a recurring payment of R142.45 (01 June 2025) went through my account, I then called my bank and stopped the payment and had to cancel my card and be issued with a new card

In conclusion, Automotofusion is a scam
