Staff were clear and helpful, I received an upgraded vehicle which was great! The whole process was very smooth and efficient, which was great considering I was worried about driving in another country!

The worst experience I ever had with car rental!
Rented a car from Firenze Airport. During pick-up nobody came to hand over the car, just got keys and parking place number.
The car had damage on each panel. There were so many dents and scratches that was impossible to check what was already marked in the contract, so I made a full video of the car to record all the damages.
A week after returning the car I got claim that I have caused new damage to the car. I checked the video I made during pickup and the claimed "new" damage is clearly seen on the video!
Now 3 week later and after multiple emails sent with video and pictures of the claimed damage they are only replying that the video date doesn´t match the pickup time!!!
I have explained them many times that the video properties showing the date and the time when I sent it to them not when it was made, but they just don´t care and claiming like I have made a video week after returning the car to them!!!
This is just ridiculous already!
I had third party full insurance, but I will not accept AUTOVIA false claim against me and will fight to the end to get it right!

PLEASE AVOID RENTING FROM THEM!

I have sent you full video!
Also on the area where your claimed "new" damage is, there was very close to that already marked existing damage on the rental agreement!
Please read what I have told you and review the video sent to you!
I have provided you several pictures with exact date and time of pickup, but you don't accept them!

Horrible! Awfully long queue which took over an hour before we were seen. Staff were slow and rude and not helpful. Paid for additional insurance at the time of booking but told I didn’t ! The waiting area was in a cramped corridor right by the toilets. No communication or assistance.
On return no one available and waited half an hour at the desk to be told to wait outside.
Honestly horrible experience.

Scammed by autovia in Florence.

At arrival they told us that any video or photo evidence of existing damage would not be valid. We therefore proceeded with pointing out damage, with the guy telling us that damages below 4 cm did not need to be marked.

When returning the car, another employee checked the car - and pointed out damage I had indicated when we rented the car, but was not marked on the paper due to the small size. I explained this to him, and he told us everything was fine - and asked me to sign the return form.

2 hours later I receive an email that we have been charged for the damage he had pointed out and told us not to worry about. I have tried contacting autovia and explained the situation but they refuse to remove the charge.

Be prepared to be scammed if you rent with autovia

I rented a car from, Autovia from a Girl mames Sara in Firenze, she was very caring, vart sympathic and very nice to us, very pleased with our service and all the best regards to Autovia

Provano ad addebitarti graffi inesistenti al rientro della macchina. La scheda con i danni è generica ed impossibile da guardare nel dettaglio appena l’auto la prendi in consegna. È’ l’unica cosa che mi ha fatto arrabbiare.

I experienced a delay in picking up my rental car due to a local taxi drivers’ strike, which was beyond my control. Upon arrival, I was informed that my original reservation had been canceled, and I would be charged an additional fee. Thankfully, one of the employees stepped in and offered me an upgraded vehicle with full coverage at the same original price. I truly appreciated this gesture, which helped turn a frustrating situation into a more positive experience.
