Autovia stole from me. I was charged twice for my rental, paid in full on collection, they then did an unauthorised charge on my credit card on return. Customer service refuse to answer my emails, and often hang up when I call. Terrible customer service, it has now been a month of trying to contact them with no luck. Avoid and shop elsewhere

I paid for a 5 seater car but was given one with only 4 seatbelts. At the time of picking up the car, I was with my young children and elderly father and it was late and very hot and we had had a long journey and since we were only 4 people at the time I didn't notice that there were only 4 belts. However, when we joined the rest of our family and were about to put another person in the car, we noticed this mistake. I complained about this at drop off but was told to email their customer care department. I have now emailed three times over the past month and have received absolutely no response. This is totally unacceptable and I would certainly not recommend this company to anybody

Het personeel was erg vrolijk en behulpzaam. Zij namen ook alle tijd voor je terwijl er een grote rij mensen stond.
We kregen een fijne auto waar we heerlijk in hebben gereden.
Een super bedrijf die ik zeker aan iedereen wil aanbevelen.

Unico intoppo lo storno del deposito non avvenuto automaticamente, ma Comunque veloci e gentili nel risolvere la situazione .

The car rental company met my expectations with fast and friendly service. It's just a shame the windshield washer fluid was missing and the inside of the windows were very dirty.

Wij hebben een auto gehuurd in Pisa bij autovia. Wat een verschrikking! Wat een onaardige man bij de balie. Het was nog teveel moeite om ons de auto te wijzen.
Direct kreeg ik het gevoel dat ze ons wilden bedonderen. Auto uiteindelijk in de nacht ingeleverd en ja hoor, in Nederland terug een mail dat er schade aan de auto zat.
100% zeker dat deze schade er al zat bij ontvangst auto. Dit staat ook op foto en film en dus dit terug gemaild.
Toch word er zonder correspondentie geld van onze creditcard geboekt!
Huur hier nooit een auto!!!

I booked car hire via Ryan AIr with Autovia/Ecovia. However when I presented at Autovia/Ecovia desk at Pisa Airport their representative refused to release car at the airport desk on pretext that they claimed my credit card to be used for deposit payment was from a “digital bank”. All other documentation was in order and not disputed eg credit card in my name as lead driver, valid confirmation email and valid ID.

However credit card presented was a VISA physical card, was not virtual payment card and is not issued by a “digital bank” as confirmed by my credit card company. I have used this credit card without any issue for previous car hire in the past including at Pisa Airport. The rental agreement received from Ryan Air furthermore makes no reference to “digital banks” as not being acceptable

Autovia/Ecovia therefore had no right to refuse my card.

What is a significant concern is that Autovia/Ecovia representative at the desk at Pisa was then prepared to release the car if I was prepared to pay a non-refundable “protection fee” of €300 to Autovia/Ecovia using the very same VISA credit card which they had earlier refused. I was appalled by this. This is at best poor practice and at worst potentially fraudulent.

To add to the extremely stressful experience Autovia/Ecovia representative was unhelpful and unsympathetic throughout.

We were forced to hire a car with another company at the airport at a much higher rate. This other car hire company had no problems accepting the very same credit card which Autovia/Ecovia had earlier refused

I have contacted Autovia Customer care direct but to date I have only received a perfunctory AI generated response from them saying that they will look into this incident.

A truly appalling experience from the start which has has ruined my vacation.

1/5 star rating is the lowest I was able to give in order to leave a review but if given the choice I would have given 0/5.

Wij hebben via SunnyCars een auto gehuurd in Pisa bij AutoVia en zijn ontzettend tevreden over de service!

Bij het ophalen van de auto werden we heel vriendelijk geholpen door Salvatore. Hij nam alle tijd voor ons, legde alles rustig uit en zorgde ervoor dat we met een goed gevoel op pad konden.

Helaas kregen we tijdens onze vakantie te maken met een klapband. Gelukkig werd ook dit ontzettend goed en snel geregeld. Onze auto werd opgehaald en op het vliegveld konden we zonder problemen een vervangende auto ophalen. Ook daar werden we weer vriendelijk en professioneel geholpen.

Een groot compliment voor de medewerkers van AutoVia voor hun behulpzaamheid en goede service, zowel bij het ophalen van de auto als tijdens onze pech onderweg.

Wij zouden AutoVia zeker aanraden!

I’m very disappointed and have lost all confidence in them!
Unfortunately, I am very disappointed with Autovia. When I returned the car I’d hired from them, they claimed there was damage amounting to just over 500 euros, even though the car they’d handed over to me had over 118,000 km on the clock and was covered in scuffs, scratches and dents. The contract did indeed list a large number of pre-existing damages when I took possession of the car, but it was far too easy for them to make up new ones. I therefore no longer have any confidence in this car hire company and will not be using their services again.

Je suis malheureusement très déçu d'Autovia. Lors de le retour de la voiture louée chez eux, ils ont constaté des dégâts pour un peu plus de 500 euro alors que la voiture qu'ils m'avaient donné en location avait plus de 118.000 km et était pleine de coups, de griffes et de bosses. Le contrat mentionnait d'ailleurs un grand nombre de dégâts lors de la prise de la voiture mais il leur a été facile d'en inventer des nouveaux. Je n'ai donc plus aucune confiance dans ce loueur et ne passerai plus par leurs services.

Der Mitarbeiter am Flughafen war außergewöhnlich unfreundlich, er hat uns nichts erklärt und war ungeduldig.
Wir bekamen nicht die gebuchte Kategorie, sondern ein größereres Auto. Aufgrund der engen Straßen in den Städten der Toskana kein Gewinn.
Das Auto war dann okay,aber wir bekamen 2 Tage später eine Mail,dass wir unseren Autoschlüssel verloren hätten und ihn bei der Polizei abholen sollten.Das war völliger Unsinn!
Die Abgabe war ähnlich, der Mitarbeiter nahm nur den Schlüssel, viele Kunden warteten schon.
Das Auto war gut,aber die Firma spart scheinbar bei Mitarbeitern,daher der günstige Preis

Nach der sehr netten und persönlichen Antwort der Firma auf meine Kritik,muss ich sagen,dass es wahrscheinlich auch an der Hauptreisezeit und dem grossen Andrang lag bei der Rückgabe und dass wir keine Schwierigkeiten mit dem Auto hatten.
Nur der Mitarbeiter bei der Abholung sollte deutlich kundenfreundlich werden!

Highly unprofessional! Hidden fees and stolen/lost items. Do not recommend! I highly discourage anyone from renting from Autovia Pisa Airport. They are extremely unprofessional.First of all, watch out for their rental guarantees and hidden costs. When you book online, you see one price. When you arrive at the desk, they force you to pay double that amount extra (insurance, dropping the blocked deposit and other hidden fees that should be included in the online cost). If you refuse, they won't refund your online payment, so you basically have no choice but to pay or lose your money.Secondly, I accidentally forgot a pair of Meta smart glasses inside the car. By the time I realized, I had already passed the airport check-in gates and couldn’t go back. I immediately called them. They dragged their feet, making excuses that they would check, but after countless phone calls and emails, their final answer was that 'there was nothing in the car'.They most likely found them and kept them for themselves. Instead of being honest, communicating properly and returning them, they chose to lie. Terrible customer service and zero integrity!

This is the 4th time I've used Autovia in the past 3years. I'm happy to report a consistently excellent service. Staff were courteous, professional and only too happy to help. Our latest car was an almost new VW T-cross. Fabulous. Exactly as booked. Well done Autovia see you again soon.
