Worst company stay away

I had a terrible experience with this solar company. I paid my deposit on 17 February and was given an installation date for the end of April. I specifically paid extra for all-black panels, but when the delivery arrived, they brought standard panels instead.
When I raised this issue, I was told they couldn’t do anything about it and was given an ultimatum — either accept the wrong panels or take a refund. This is completely unacceptable, especially after waiting over two months.
Because of their delays and lack of coordination, I also missed out on the rebate, which has caused me additional financial loss. The company is extremely disorganised — the sales team and the owners clearly do not communicate or honor what was promised.
This has been a complete waste of time and money. I will be lodging a formal complaint with the solar accreditation authorities and have all the necessary proof. I strongly advise others to stay away from this company to avoid the same frustration and loss.

Headline: Greedy, Unprofessional, and Lazy Workmanship – BEWARE!Avoid Alka Solar at all costs.

Since Day 1, our installation has been a nightmare.
Aesthetic Damage: They mounted the inverter right on the front facade of our house. It looks like a "bulging pimple" and has completely tanked our home's curb appeal and resale value.
Defective Install: Every morning, we are woken up by a loud "thumping" noise coming from the panels.
"Pay-to-Fix" Scam: When we raised these issues, their response was insulting. First, they asked if we could just "live with the noise." Then, they told us they would only fix their eyesore of an installation or the thumping if we paid them extra money.Everything with this company is a cash grab. They want extre money to run cabels properly and extra money for an inverter cover. They expect the customer to pay for their laziness and lack of planning. We paid for a professional service, but we got a fraudulent experience. I am calling on all other customers who have been scammed by Alka Solar to speak up. We are looking into taking this to A Current Affair to ensure this company stops taking hard-working people for a ride. You don't owe them a cent more—they owe you the service you already paid for!

Extremely Disappointed with After-Sales Support
I rarely leave negative reviews, but after 2 months of constant follow-ups with no resolution, I feel others should know what to expect.
Since January, I’ve been chasing the team to fix an issue. Each time I was told things like:
“Team is very busy with installations.”
“Will organize it asap.”
“Will sort it out on Monday for sure.”
“Next week for sure.”
“Please give me time till Monday.”
“So sorry for the late reply, will organize asap.”
Unfortunately, “asap”, “Monday”, and “next week” have come and gone multiple times. There has been no actual action — only repeated assurances.
I understand businesses get busy. What I don’t understand is the lack of accountability and follow-through. If you can’t commit to timelines, be transparent. If you’re overbooked, say so clearly. Don’t keep customers waiting indefinitely with repeated promises.
Before you choose this company, please consider whether you’re comfortable with potentially waiting months for support after installation.
Very disappointed with the professionalism and service.

Poor Install and Customer Service. Good Price.

Initially everything seemed great. The price was fine and the salesman on the phone worked with me to get the install I wanted taking into account site shading. I was told the installers would be Ayka employees, but they turned out to be subcontractors, something that would soon become an issue. I was also told if I have any issues with the system the Ayka boss from Sydney will come to Canberra and personally fix the issue but after several months I’m still waiting for him to arrive.
Install was pushed back several times, not a problem. Then I received a text message at 8pm saying the installation will be the next day. Nobody turned up and I rang the office two days later to be told they thought the installation was complete.
On the day of installation, they arrived around 1pm and were still working on the roof, five of them past 6pm, in the dark and all using their phones to illuminate the area. Not ideal.
The next day I noticed the poor install of the inverter. The wiring wasn’t very neat and the conduit through the gyprock was loose and had a huge blob of no-more-gaps to fill the large hole around it that looked rally amateurish. The stickers on meter box were also fitted poorly being quite lopsided, again this was all carried out in the dark with phone torches.
I repaired both items myself, but Ayka did give me new meter box stickers. I was also left to clean up plenty of mess from the install around the site. Ayka did little tidying up due to their rush and it was night-time when they finished.
Then, after around a month I noticed the solar generation was somewhat down from what was advertised pre-sale. I also noticed my 12.3Kwh system struggled to produce 6Kwh during peak sunshine. Obviously, something wasn’t correct.
I notified Ayka Solar. The subcontractor came by and said he will bring the electrician to have a look. One month later and nothing. I contacted Ayka again. They monitored the system and said it’s fine. I sent heaps of screenshots to detail the issues and asked for an electrician to come by and check it but nothing. Ayaka says all complaints will be handled to ISO1002-2004 procedures, but the communication has been awful.
Given that I still don’t have a fully functioning solar system for 5 months I was left with no option to try and trace the issue myself and today I think I found it. Both strings have been connected to MPPT 1 (where one should have been connected to MPPT 2) so the inverter, due to the incorrect wiring is severely restricting the power it can produce. I’ve attached a photo detailing this.
Firstly, this mistake should never happen and secondly, given all the clear evidence I sent should have been picked up and quickly and easily fixed but even the Ayka electrical engineers failed to spot the obvious.

Very much impressed and happy.

From the beginning the company was very much upfront, no hidden cost involved, information was given was very informative and helpful for my budget, I was very impressed with their knowledge and expertise in the field, installation was hassle free without any damages or doggy work, as a trade person I can pick small details of any doggy work, but I couldn’t find one, the date of installation was set and guys were on agreed time, it was shock for me as most of the tradies won’t come on time and full of excuses. Overall I was happy in every manner and will recommend to any of my fried without hesitation. Keep it up good work AYKA Technologies.

Solar - Best in Class

It has been an absolute pleasure doing business with Sandeep and the AYKA team. The team exudes professionalism. Due to global supply chain problems, we have faced many logistical challenges. Initially, the panels were set to arrive many months later due to these issues. It was remarkable the way Amanda led her team in ensuring that this wasn’t the case. Amanda was in constant contact with me, and found a solution using different panels already in the country for our installation. Thinking outside the box – Bravo! Finally, Vishal and his installation team fixed the panels on our roof, despite the rainy weather. They even made sure there were no issues post-installation. I would highly recommend AYKA to anyone thinking about solar installation, you won’t be disappointed.

I am very happy customer because Ayka


I am very happy customer because Ayka solar help me to choose correct product install on my roof. I got outstanding performance because i have issue with facing but they sort on my roof and 2 years time solar system is free still have 23 years warranty it does matter who install and what product. Ayka solar team is really qualified team they have done job very smooth and clean with quality products. I would highly recommend Ayka solar.
