UPDATE — August 25, 2026: Refund Ultimately Received
I want to update this review now that there has finally been a resolution.
Backers Bridge has issued my full refund, and I received it today. I believe in being fair when reviewing a business, so it is important to me that anyone reading my original review knows that the company did ultimately return my money.
That said, the resolution does not change my assessment of the experience that led to this review.
I initially requested a resolution after my Kickstarter campaign ended and, after receiving no response, ultimately requested a refund. The process took more than a month to complete.
What is particularly disappointing is that after my private attempts to resolve the matter went unanswered, I finally received a response from Backers Bridge after posting my negative review. At that point, I was asked to remove the review because, according to the representative, the company was preparing to shut down due to low sales volume, employees were being left without opportunities, and my review had created a bad impression of the organization. In exchange for removing it, I was offered another opportunity to use their promotional services.
I declined.
I did not feel comfortable removing an honest account of my experience in exchange for additional services from a company whose original service was the reason for my complaint. I instead reiterated that the resolution I wanted was a full refund.
That refund has now been completed, and I sincerely appreciate that Backers Bridge ultimately honored the request.
However, a refund does not retroactively resolve the issues that caused me to request one: repeated follow-ups for promised information, unanswered questions about targeting, promised reports and explanations that were not delivered, inadequate communication, and eventually having to pursue a resolution for more than a month.
I also remain uncomfortable with the fact that my negative review received a response when my previous attempts to resolve the matter privately did not. A customer should not have to post publicly before their concerns receive meaningful attention.
So, in fairness to Backers Bridge, they did ultimately issue a full refund, and I am updating my review accordingly.
But I am leaving the original review intact because it remains an accurate account of my experience. The eventual refund changes how the story ended; it does not change what happened along the way.
For other crowdfunding creators considering this service, my recommendation remains the same: ask detailed questions before purchasing, get promised deliverables in writing, understand exactly how prospective backers will be selected and targeted, and maintain records of all communication.
I consider the financial matter resolved. I do not consider my original review inaccurate, and therefore I will not be removing it.
