I would not even give them a one-star and to be honest with you but I have no other option but to click the one
They advertise 5.5% interest rate but they are not even an actual mortgage lender the companies that they're affiliated with that they sell our information to when you are looking to inquire for that interest rate can't even offer a 5.5% of interest rate that absolute lowest rate that any of their Affiliates offer is a 5.85% interest rate and that is with a 750 credit score or higher and you also have to purchase two points which is 2% of your loan amount for me they wanted $25,000 up front in order to lock the interest rate at a 5.85% interest rate after they ran my credit after they falsely advertised a 5.5% rate which is something they can't even offer nor can they honor I've tried to call the customer service line which they do not have any physical locations it is a completely made up fictitious company that uses false advertisement in order to obtain customer information to sell to other financial institutions the financial institutions that they sell our information to do not offer any interest rates of that 5.5% nor can they honor a 5.5% interest rate nor are they obligated in complying with the false advertisements of bank rate because they are not bank rate so if you are looking for a mortgage and do not get suckered in to these false advertisements I've also contacted Google directly to find out as to why they're allowing a company to false advertise and mislead and practice deceptive business tactics in order to obtain and sell personal information to actual mortgage financial institutions again bank rate is not a financial institution nor do they lend money nor have they ever lend money to anybody and actively there is a ongoing investigation against this company for fraudulence Revenue charges and financial manipulation of annual revenue. This company needs to be shut down and since it is regulated by our federal government I don't understand as to why they haven't shut this company down yet for deceptive practice

Saved us over $88,000 over the life of our loan. We were going to refinance through our original lender who said they had the lowest rate and fees. At the last minute I logged in bankrate and was instantly shown a much better deal. I was terrified to give my contact info for fear of getting spammed. However the only person to contact me was the lender I selected. So quick and easy and saved a ton! Wish I’d known about Bankrate 5 properties ago.

Not only does Bankrate aggregate mortgage rates into one place for easy comparison, but Bankrate has the lowest mortgage rates in the space. They have been so helpful as a prospective first-time homebuyer researching mortgage options to see what I can afford. I routinely check rates to see how the market is trending, and they also have a lot of data on overall mortgage industry trends.

I submitted my info and asked to speak to two mortgage companies - Tomo and Sage. Both reached out to me promptly and have had wonderful customer service helping me shop for a rate while we are waiting for our offer to be accepted. I didn't receive any calls or texts from any lenders I didn't ask to be contacted by which I appreciated. The other comparison sites gave my info to so many people and I was spammed afterwards so I appreciated Bankrate's process of no surprises. The lenders also quoted the exact same rates I found on the site.

I believe that they give people opportunities to win. Which is very important when you're gambling, because if you let people win a little off more often, they always come back.

I didn’t get my money or perfect gift. Com didn’t reach out but at least I got to vent about this experience. Either they are a bad gift card merchant or salt grass doesn’t train their servers. Either way I won’t be using either . I’ll switch to road house .

Nice and helpful

I applied for a mortgage through Bankrate after seeing their advertised cashback promotion. I carefully followed all the requirements, including submitting my mortgage approval information and the promo code as instructed. Despite this, I never received the promised cashback.

When I contacted Bankrate, they stated that they needed to “check with their third-party cashback issuer.” After that, I never received a follow-up or resolution. Multiple attempts to follow up were either ignored or met with vague responses.

This experience reflects very poorly on Bankrate’s reliability. A company of this size should stand behind its promotions, especially when consumers provide full documentation. Instead, the lack of accountability and failure to respond shows a disregard for customers.

Consumers should be cautious when relying on Bankrate’s promotional offers, as there is no guarantee they will be honored—even when all conditions are met.

I like this calculator and have been using it for decades. However, I seem to have an issue with the amortization part of the calculator

It appears that when an amount is entered into the one-time payment field, that amount is also deducted from the beginning loan balance. This miscalculates the amortization. Am I wrong or a bug?
