Took Barkers advice and preferred half size below my normal size. Perfect fit and comfortable. Arrive 3 days after order was placed.

This is the email I sent , I still haven’t received a reply or my refund, from a return that they eventually advised me they received on 8th July…. My advice is, look elsewhere, don’t buy from Barker!
Good evening,
I feel that I am compelled to let you know that I will never order anything from Barker shoes again, and would and will advise anyone else not to order from you either.
The whole experience has been dreadful, from point of order to refund the correspondence from Barker shoes has been at times none existent, rude, and very unprofessional.
I am really disappointed, I like your shoes, and have a couple of pairs that I treasure, but the lack of correspondence regarding my return was unacceptable as far as I am concerned.
At no point was I told that you had received the shoes back, I had to get in touch via a chat line to raise a ticket.
I was told that someone would be in touch within the next few hours, but no contact was made.
I then contacted you again, 2 days later, to chase up what was happening with the return, as I was beginning to worry that you had not received it.
I was given an email address to which I sent an email to, again chasing up to see if you had actually received my return, I eventually got an email back saying the shoes had been received back on 8th July, with the standard nonsense of payment will be made within 10 days.
10 days later, nothing , no correspondence, no emails nothing!
So again, today 10 days later, I send an email asking what is happening with the refund?
The reply was abrupt, and frankly unacceptable and unapologetic, just stating that the refund will be made!
As yet no monies have been refunded!
As I say, you’ve lost a customer, but thought it appropriate to let you know, so maybe you can make the changes necessary to improve your service

First and foremost, please accept our sincere apologies for the experience you have had. We are genuinely sorry that we have let you down, particularly as a valued customer who already owns and enjoys Barker shoes.
Having read your email, we completely understand your frustration. You should not have had to repeatedly chase us for updates regarding your return, and we sincerely apologise for the lack of communication throughout the process. We also regret that our responses came across as abrupt and impersonal. This is not the level of service we strive to provide.
We appreciate how disappointing it must have been not to receive confirmation that your return had been received, to have to contact us several times for updates, and then experience a delay with your refund. We fully understand why this has left you feeling dissatisfied.
Your refund has already been processed back to your original payment method. Depending on your payment provider, it may take a few working days for the funds to appear in your account. We appreciate that this does not make up for the experience you have had, but we hope it provides some reassurance that the refund is on its way.
Please be assured that your feedback has been shared with the relevant team. We take comments such as yours seriously and will use them to review and improve our communication and returns process.
Once again, we are truly sorry for the inconvenience and disappointment caused. We appreciate you bringing these issues to our attention and giving us the opportunity to learn from your experience.

Great shoes. Great Service. Will definitely purchase again.
I ordered size 11 (which is my normal she size) but they were too big.
Replacements sent very quickly - very impressed.
Only slight niggle was having to pay for the returns - didn’t believe that was a thing these days and was shockingly quite expensive.
However. Overall delighted

Great British Craftmanship
Very happy with my recent purchases - the Pullman’s are excellent quality and make a great addition to my collection - top tip if buying online - use the size guide as it really helps if you’re not actually trying on in store. One thing to consider though - no shoe horns come with the shoes anymore which is a sad reality of our economy

Great service …
The service and responsiveness was very very good. Would have been five stars if the shoes had been slightly better quality. They are very very good however just lack the detailed fit and finish of a UK produced pair. Would buy again though as alternatives at this price point are few.

Purchased my first pair of shoes from…
Purchased my first pair of shoes from Barker unfortunately they were damaged ! I was not very happy and very disappointed. So I contacted Barker customer service and they were brilliant ! They helped me through the returns process and delayed the new shoes until I came back from holiday !
Excellent service after a disappointing start , the new shoes have now arrived and they are lovely. Accidents happen and the customer service team handled it perfectly , a great experience overall !!!
