Vinod Batra lived Ayurveda philosophy…
Vinod Batra lived Ayurveda philosophy and combined it perfectly with the marketing of Ayurveda. Although Ayurveda had a spiritual root, the intelligent Vinod Batra knew only too well that in Europe and therefore also in Austria it is important to be commercially successful.
I have fond memories of Vinod Batra, who died in 2021, because of his relaxed face. There was always a smile in conversations. He was jovial, not too ambitious, but intelligent. If he could, he would help. I got to know Vinod Badra when I was still living in Siezenheim with my partner. Only about 500 metres away from Vinod Batra's massage practice. - I took part in an Ayurveda massage course in his wooden house. This course lasted a few days and afterwards I received a certificate signed by him and his wife. There were 2 or 3 other female participants on the course. Vinod Badra showed us how to massage and which oils are good for certain types. There was a practical part and a theoretical part where Vinod Badra introduced us to the teachings of Ayurveda. In the practical part, he showed how to give a full body massage with oils in the massage room (technique). On the one hand, we were allowed to apply the techniques to the other participants, and on the other hand, we were also massaged ourselves as 'massage patients', first by Vinod and then by the students. As a teacher, Batra was always very relaxed and balanced. He often smiled and epitomised the ideal Ayurveda teacher. Svastha vita. Relaxation was a quality that Vinod Batra lived and passed on.
