Products are shite company is garbage people stay away leaks everywhere wood not sealed cabin is rotting away

We purchased a log cabin from Beaver Log Cabins in 2020, based on clear assurances that it would “last her for life” and was covered by a warranty. This cabin was bought specifically for my disabled sister, so those promises were extremely important to us.

The reality has been completely unacceptable. The cabin is very poorly insulated and extremely cold. It has serious damp problems, including damp carpets, and there are clear signs of water getting in. We have even had slugs entering the cabin, including into her room.

This is not only a failure in quality, but a failure to provide something safe and suitable for someone vulnerable.

We have contacted the company about these issues, but they have refused to fix the problems or take responsibility, despite the warranty and the claims made at the time of sale.

We feel completely misled and let down. I would strongly warn others not to rely on the promises made by this company. Our experience has been extremely distressing and disappointing.

AND IT DOESN’T EVEN DESERVE A STAR

But again same old excuses and just a complete lack of responsibility . I really hope others are treated better if buying from this company and they make sure they are fully aware of what they are getting and that the product is built right and are fully advise of the constants maintenance required to upkeep this
Or maybe they just reconsider their purchase entirely

If I could leave a no star review I would … this company so a scam and I would avoid at all costs
Cabin is terrible … leaking everywhere and I have the videos and evidence to prove

This seems to be a recurring problem ur company deals with hence I don not feel like we are the problem here

How you do this to a disabled girl - I do not know

We bought one of these for my disabled sister after our mother passed away in 2021. First year was great, we done everything as told to do regarding painting and sealing etc. All off a sudden the damp started and the continuation of slugs entering due to this. We have tried with the company on numerous occasions only to have no help what so ever and trying to blame us. We have had outsider come and look only to tell us the roof and insulation are not up to standards but one of the RUDE girls (COLLEEN) in the office had no empathy or respect for what we were telling her and actually hung up on us. {NOT Natasha}. We then tried again and got Trevor but again he tried to say we were wrong and that it was not their fault. He continually over spoken me and twisted everything we said. I am thoroughly disappointed with this all as my sister is on a low income and we bought this to do her for her forever home. Any ideas of how we can be helped.

In response to your comment: Thank you for responding, but your reply contradicts much of what actually happened.

We followed every piece of information and instruction that we were given. If something more was required, it was never communicated to us at any stage. It is unfair to claim that we “didn’t follow the instruction” when we completed all the steps you advised at the time. You cannot hold us responsible for information that you say existed but never provided.

Your statement also contradicts itself — you claim you were willing to send someone out, yet the moment we sought legal advice (because of ongoing issues), you refused to send anyone. You cannot say you wanted to resolve the problem while simultaneously refusing the one action that could have helped.

You also keep insisting that all problems come down to painting and maintenance, but the issues we experienced were already present despite us doing exactly what we were told. Blaming us is simply an attempt to shift responsibility instead of addressing the actual faults with the unit.

Your response does not align with the facts, and the contradictions only reinforce the concerns in my original review.

I recently had a log cabin built by beaver log cabins. The cabin turned out great. It looks fantastic and the up down lighting outside is a lovely addition that illuminates it at night and makes it look very impressive. I went with cladding which wasn't cheap but I'm glad I did as it's now safe from the elements.

Steve and Gavin started the job and took great care to clean up after themselves and paid close attention to detail.
Next was Stephen and Isaac who did a great job in the lashing rain, day in day out, to put up a solid and reliable structure.

Everyone was really friendly and helpful making sure I got what I wanted.
The guys had to come back a few times to finish off a few small issues but they did so without complaint and I didn't need to pay the final 10% until they had finished everything.

I ordered a cabin from this company's webb site which clearly shows a built in bathroom,.However what i received was a cheaper open plan cabin and bathroom kit nothing like the advertised product,the reason given for this, after payment was made " a cabin name change" .With the benefit of hindsight i would have nothing to do with this company.

This company asked me for €18000 deposit for the 3 bed log cabin I picked and because of family issues I could not go ahead with the build that was not even started.I let them know and they told me I am not untitled to my deposit.I have a solicitor on this now i would not recommend this company they have in my opinion stole €18000 😡😡😡

We were buying a log cabin gave our deposit of 3,000 decided not to get it anymore due to bad reviews etc.Asked for a refund and they refused and stole our 3,000 and still have it to this day. Employee also got extremely aggressive when refund was asked for multiple times.

I bought my cabin in 2016, problems from day one, leaking windows and leaking at the interlinked corner connections, company changed the windows and doors eventually but rot had set in, I was told the leaking at the corners would stop when the cabin stopped moving, again the wood rotted. The roof sagged, they installed support, the foreman on the job was helpful. Unfortunately I found rot in the roof, again they replaced some of the roof but now it has spread, looks like the whole roof will need replacing, very hard to get anyone to fix it as it is specialised. Two engineers looked at the cabin, they were surprised by the speed it rotted. So my advice do your research before buying, get knowledge about the product.

Six years on and still paying the price of using the services of Beaver Log Cabins to build my forever home. Nothing but issues since from redoing all the sewage drains, replacing leaking windows, and leaking on joints too. Ive paid a fortune having to have it all rectified and to top it off the composite decking wasnt spaced properly and now has buckled and starting to breakup. If you want a forever cabin do not go here, they wont fix any problems you have, will say its your fault. One big expensive mistake i regret to this day.

The team at Beaver delivered my cabin exactly when they said they would and it arrived in perfect condition.

I was able to assemble it myself and it absolutely fits the criteria I set out before making my purchase.

The team helped me at every step of the way and were an absolute delight to work with - I have no hesitation in recommending them to friends and family.

Done a few projects with Trevor and the team. From start to finish the quality of work was very professional. Nothing was a bother, they went above and beyond.
Trevor has also been very genrious in numerous charities I’m involved in, donating cabins and sponsoring events.

I purchased my cabin from beaver log cabins about a year ago, I absolutely love it I got it for the back of my home to use as a salon as I closed my salon down and wanted to work from home it was the best decision I ever did. I can’t fault beaver log cabins from the staff on the show site to the builders and to the owner himself. Everything was so professional and wasn’t a problem to do anything that I wanted, I have sent many people to beaver log cabin though out the year I recommend these guys a lot I can’t fault them in anyway, thank you for making my dream come true I am so happy with my cabin.

Bought the Kay cabin of Trevor in 2018, we lived in it for 2 years when building our new house! It was the best advice giving to us at that time and still glad we went down the log cabin road! It’s the cosiest house you can ever live it and there has been absolutely no problems with it! Trevor was very easy to work with and very accommodating! We built the cabin ourselves, with any building challenges he was always on the end of the phone for guidance! Highly recommend Beavor log cabins!

I do not usually write reviews but after my daughter showed me some bad reviews on beaver log cabins i felt i wanted to write about my experience. We had a residential cabin installed approx 1 year ago in Donegal. its a mid size 2 bedroom cabin. We came to the site in Bridgend and viewed it before purchasing. Trevor talked us through all stages of the process, even going so far as to choosing curtains and mats for the cabin. We have never had a minutes bother with our home, and the cabin is still sitting like the day it was built. The builder at the time was William, he was very helpful and they seemed to have the cabin up in no time. We have sent a few people to Trevor over the past year who have also got different cabins and they all have the same experience. I would recommend beaver log cabins to all my family and friends no problem, Jane x

Me and my partner came across beaver log cabins while we down in Donegal, we Just said we would go in for a look and get a feel for log cabins as we weren't sure if that's exactly what we wanted.. but as we entered the show room In Donegal we were greeted by Trevor to answer any quire's that we had he listened to our concerns and advised us which cabins would be best for us he was very helpful in helpings us in the right direction after a long conversation with Trevor we were happy to continue our journey to building our log cabins ... So when our journey began I was blown away by all the help and advice support that we were getting of Trevor he was with us every step of the way even down to the Furnishing of our cabins he organised it all .. all we had to do was turn the key and walk into our cabins feeling homely I would highly recommend Beaver log cabins.. the team of lads from start to finish were amazing lovely out going people and tbh I'll miss the lads .. I'm still blown away so thank you again

The first stage of construction of my Sligo log cabin is complete. Gavin & Stephen arrived on site and instantly identified an issue which was discussed at length and alternative quickly suggested. They were very pleasant, knowledgeable, efficient and tidy tradesmen. The place was left immaculate. If this first stage is anything to go by I'll be one very happy lady. Thank you guys.

The construction of my log house commenced on 8th March 2022. The speed of which the house has gone up is unbelievable. Floors are down, kitchen is in and the sliderobes are the next task. I couldn't be happier with this service and as for the workers they have all given 110% and are perfectionists. I would really recommend this company.

Was short roof shingles but these were sent on by Beaver Log Cabins which was good. Happy that they followed up with this.

Poor quality window construction. Poor quality window hinges. Poor quality window handles. Many pieces of wood warped on arrival.

Delivery driver broke an existing house window by driving into it. Poor manners and didn't want to deal with the situation. Resulted in many phone calls getting no where.
