Be careful with these people I have a suspicion that they are in financial difficulty.
I ordered firewood on 9th January that would be delivered in late January, it didn't arrive but they didn't tell me in advance. Then the delivery date changed to the end of February. It didn't arrive and again they didn't tell me, I rang to find out. Then it moved to the middle of March. On 24th February I gave up and just asked for a refund and forget the whole thing. Was told it may take up to 2 weeks. Rang to chase on 13th March and asked someone to take ownership of my refund, to at least find out when it will happen. Rang again today and they still cannot provide a date. Are they not embarressed? Just process the refund.
The only thing I can think of is a cashflow problem. Maybe if you can touch the product and put it in your car and take it away then buying from them might be ok. I wouldn't order on the website though. Caveat emptor.
Rathwood Furniture - Bunch of Cowboys
I bought a pallet of hardwood fuel via their online portal in January. Contacted them in Feb to follow up on delivery time. They said that there was a "system issue" causing them to oversell the product. I requested to cancel the order and refund my card. 4 emails and 4 telephone calls to their abysmal customer services team I am still none the clearer as to when I will be refunded. Shocking shocking shocking service.

Stay clear of Rathwood!!!! They take your money, dont deliver what you ordered. Keep pushing the delivery date out. Then tell you the item is over sold and to chose an alternative item but their website still has the item is originally purchased on their website with "express delivery" offered and a delivery date range. I placed an order on the 5th December 2025 with Rathwood, after many emails etc. I still had not received it and on the 23rd February I requested a refund. To date, despite numerous phone calls and emails I have not received my refund. So disappointed with the service from Rathwood .

After multiple attempts to resolve the issue â including approximately 15 phone calls and 2 emails â I received no meaningful response or delivery update. Due to the lack of fulfilment, I cancelled the order on 4 February 2026.
I was informed that a refund would be issued, however no refund was processed by Rathwood.
The issue was only resolved after I escalated the matter through my payment provider, Klarna, who ultimately refunded me.
Based on my experience, there was a clear lack of communication and failure to follow through on both delivery and refund commitments. I would advise others to proceed with caution.

Waiting on my refund for months.
Ordered firewood and they never delivered. They kept putting out the delivery date for months and months. I finally decided to cancel the order and requested a refund. They still have not refunded me the money. I have called numerous times and they customer service agent keeps saying they have expedited the refund request with the accounts department, but they will not transfer my called to accounts as they say that accounts does not have a phone.

I am writing my 5th review in the last few weeks as despite lots of promises that my refund was 'with the accounts team' there is still now sign of it nearly 3 months after returning my order! I honestly don't know how this business is allowed to operate with huge delays in delivering orders, products not matching the description/images shown and an unwillingness to refund money either at all or at least within a timely fashion! AVOID! Ordered a kitchen cabinet for 400 euro on 02/03/26 and got email acknowledgement. Realised three weeks later there had been no contact so googled merchant RW Living. Saw hundreds of bad reviews on Trust Pilot, reports to CPCC, even an article in Irish Times (RW Living). Called merchant and they said they would contact purchasing department and email a delivery date within an hour. No email. When I called back on my phone kept waiting for 15 mins (think it was blocked) so called back on my husband's phone, finally picked up, after threatening CPCC finally got email from "Kirsten P": "the item is unfortunately out of stock at the moment." If it's out of stock why are they selling! Having read reviews that customers never get refunds I have started chargeback process with my bank and am reporting to CPCC. Ironically, I then get an email from "Kirsten P" saying I can win £250 for writing a five star review on Trustpilot!

Absolute waste of time ordering and dealing with their CS team. Ordered a bed at start of February. No delivery updates. Contacted CS and told to wait the full 28working days. Did that and every promised escalation from CS went no where. No one in "warehouse" in Ireland seems to give a shit and was not responding to the CS team repeated escalations. No managers to speak to no way to contact anyone in Ireland. Cancelled the order and am now praying for a timely refund to buy a bed for my daughter

Please do not purchase from this business. They state false delivery times, no updates on anything, cannot guarantee supply of product and no sign of any refund after 6 weeks. Disgraceful business!
Knowingly selling items they do not have with no stock coming.
Ordered a garden furniture set that was in stock on website February 27th for a delivery date indicated on purchase of March 6th. March 5th they notified us by email of overselling the item to choose another item or they expect stock earliest mid April into their warehouse. We changed for an item that had 4 in stock in their German warehouse which was told to us over the phone at time of change. Now March 24th, multiple emails and phone calls looking for a delivery date of this new replacement order and still being told they have no update of this replacement item and no information back from German warehouse on when they will have stock. Customer service over the phone repeat the same speaches of they will follow this up with their German warehouse which they can only contact through online chat themselves. No management can be spoken to over the phone. No emails are being responded to anymore and no phone calls they say they will make to us are being made. These same two options of furniture state in stock on their website currently and also falsely indicate they can be delivered in a few days which is leading new customers to believe they can place orders who will end up in this same situation.
If you value your time and money, avoid this company as they are a nightmare to deal with. Also, be wary of the five star reviews that have started popping up. Google Rathwood before proceeding
I would be very wary of a company that takes 9 weeks to process a refund when consumer law states that refunds should be processed within 14 days.
Ordered firewood last August. Numerous delays, no communication from company. Cancelled the order in January and despite chasing every week and email them, they refuse to provide an update on when payment will be made or an explanation to why it is taking so long to process.
I would be wary of the 5 star reviews that have started popping up. They are purely there to try and counter the one star reviews and are all written in the exact same way - " I'd like to thank Sam B / Jess P etc.
If you value your time and money, avoid this company.
Also, ignore any response from Rathwood to this complaint. It is hollow and will not be acted upon.

At no stage were Rathwood honourable. They ducked and dived at every opportunity.
