Discusting place rude staff amd a rip off

CORPORATE DOES NOT HOLD ITS FRANCHISEES ACCOUNTABLE!! Don't ever stay at a Best Western, you will not be made whole if you have a bad experience. They will do nothing to hold their franchisees to the standard of their agreement. See my review below about the BW Gen X location in Memphis. It's my mission to make them regret this and change their policies and how these complaints are handled moving forward. Someone has to spark change, and I don't mind taking on that task.

In response to management comment: I was bitten twice. Had to pull one off my skin. I have pictures. Your denial and refusal to take accountability is laughable. You never called me, never addressed my concerns, just denied everything. I have reported you to Best Western corporate and have an appt to speak with someone at the Memphis health department on Monday. I'd recommend you call me with remediation prior to that day. Your choice

Another update: Tennessee Health Department has been notified. I had a phone call with BW corporate. I have contacted my attorney. And I have a blood draw with my doctor scheduled. You are digging your own hole by not responding. AT this point I don't care about the money, I'm determined to make this an awful thorn in your side if it's not handled professionally

Never book with Best Western — they dishonestly make it impossible to ever claim against their “lowest rate guarantee".

You follow their instructions expecting they will price match, and then they refuse because, deep down in the fine print somewhere it says “discount, and promotional rates are not eligible” !!!!! Yes … they have rigged it so they never have to match anything, and you waste hours & book overpriced rooms from them.

Just to ensure they fleece you thoroughly, they first insist you first book the overpriced rate with them and only them, directly, and make it nonrefundable. Now, in their rate guarantee claim form the field for pasting the web link accepts only 32 characters. A link that proves you could have saved a lot of money booking elsewhere, which also shows you weren’t logged in to a 3rd party site, will typically run over 256 characters. So the link will be incomplete and will not work.

They will reply around 1-2 days later with an unintelligible email. Mine had the wrong name on it and also said
“[your] claim has been denied for the following reason(s):
The competing rate must be reported in the LRG CLAIM FORM also including the cents.”

When you reply with the full link they reply again eventually (again with a misspelt name) insist on a new claim … but the 24hr window for making the complaint has expired days ago and most likely the price too.

This is unethical and (I would guess in the EU, where I made the booking) illegal behaviour. This is the last ever time I patronise a BW hotel.
