Bought 2 palms from them one has subsequently died. I reached out and Simon asked me to send a photo in. I did. No one replied. I emailed again and resent the photos. Still no reply. Poor customer service means a poor company means poor customer experiences. Won't be using them again.

Beautiful and unusual plants, such a pleasure to visit this nursery. It is run by enthusiastic and knowledgeable experts who are very helpful when choosing suitable plants to buy.

The Jungle Tearoom is also great. Good selection of food, friendly staff.

Ordering from these guys was a great experience. We ordered a couple of dwarf palm trees and some ferns. Everything arrived promptly and was well packaged. The plants themselves were well looked after and in great shape. All in all very happy, would recommend and would order from again.

I have received several orders from Big Plant Nursery and every time the plants have been delivered quickly, well-packaged, and in great health. The staff have always been very helpful and knowledgeable when dealing with any enquiries or questions I’ve had.

I was particularly pleased with my most recent order, which included a beautiful Brahea armata that was far larger than expected and amazing value for money. The order was made even better when Bruce kindly delivered the Brahea, along with several other palms, directly to my home free of charge while he happened to be in the area delivering plants locally – meaning I didn’t even have to pay for shipping.

It’s clear they take great care in selecting and supplying quality plants, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for hardy exotics. I will definitely be placing another order with them very soon!

Ordered 3 Fatsias. Initially told by email one was out of stock, then a phone call to say they had found one in the nursery. Arrived in good condition and extremely well packed with a hand written note and some sweets! Like all plant suppliers, buying on the internet can be a bit hit and miss as someone else is choosing your plants for you. Will buy again from this company.

From order to delivery in two days very healthy plants strong root system and good updates and tracking following the order clear website and accurate pictures of what you will receive highly recommended

Unlike others , I received good customer service but also received two banana plants infested with Aphids, the first developed Aphids shortly after arrival and the second plant arrived with Aphids clearly on the leaves which indicates poor quality control. I shan't be buying plants online again

Received an acer that had verticullium wilt. Contacted the company via email, over a month later and still had no response. Not happy! Don't waste your money using this company. Their customer service is non existent !

Second time I’ve ordered from this nursery and not disappointed whatsoever, really nice healthy plants, well packaged and always a little extra treat sent.

I ordered a Tetrapanax papyrifer which was my first order from this company although I had to chase them as I hadn’t heard anything from them after a week . They did reply saying it had to come from their other nursery and would send out asap, today 15th may I received my plant and it was worth the wait a lovely example and very well packaged in a sturdy box, I would highly recommend this company and will definitely purchase again but it would be nice if your plant is slightly delayed a courtesy email would go a long way .

Really lovely Pittosporum tenuifolium: Much bigger than I expected and very good value for money. Arrived extremely quickly and very well packaged. I will use this nursery again

I placed an order on 8th April and was duly debited. They now tell me the plant is out of stock.

I won't be using them again.

Wonderful plants, healthy and a lusious green. They were extremely well packed, infact I even received a small bag of sweets in the box, which was a nice suprise. Only downfall but not their fault my delivery was 1 day late, the driver explained that they are getting so much work from different companies theyre unable to 'keep up'

Bought a Beschorneria in a 10L pot for approx £27 inc P&P. Arrived promptly and in good condition and is very healthy. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the plant is massively overpotted. It looks almost identical in size to the photo of the 2 litre plant at 1/5 of the cost so I feel a little bit as If I'm paying over £15 for about 8L of compost!

I ordered a plant online at the beginning of the year from Big Plant Nursery but decided to wait to write a review so I could give it a chance to grow!!! The plant arrived in good condition and well packaged! Tbh there wasn’t much to look at as the plant was dormant and just looked like a few roots with just a few but healthy leaves. It is now more than 2 meters tall with an abundance of flowers!!!!! I am more than happy with my purchase!!! Worth every penny! Can’t wait to browse again next Spring 🤩

As many have mentioned this business has no customer service at all

They take your money promptly after placing an online order but then don’t bother to answer the phone or reply to your email ! Ask you to leave a voice message as “they are too busy” and have a 7 day (!!) turnaround for an email reply - they don’t bother to return your messages or reply within 7 days

Still waiting to hear from them 3 weeks after placing an order - save your money and go elsewhere

Very poor experience - no communication post-ordering after almost a month and repeated attempts to get in touch with customer service to find out what had happened have been ignored over a period of time. I understand small businesses can be busy, especially like this one during springtime - but this is extremely disappointing.

Ordered plants that arrived from over night courier in perfect condition (Schefflera taiwaniana) well packaged and very healthy. Great service and I would definitely use again and highly recommend. Thanks

Was worried about ordering a delicate plant online as I have terrible experiences with other suppliers when the plants arrived in a terrible condition, but with Big Plant Nursery the experience was faultless. Plant arrived with overnight courrier in great condition, well wrapped. No damage to plant. Very healthy specimen. Was extremely happy and will definitely be ordering with them again. Thank you!
