Couldn't have gone better!

I was so nervous to get started as I had never cycled before but it was such a smooth process that we got there in the end! Couldn't recommend it more.

Darren is a great teacher - I felt real improvement over the two hours.

Darren was the best! Patient, calm, funny and focused. Both kids came away biking and with huge smiles. Would highly recommend. Darren is magic!

Darren was brilliant, challenging me and basically taught me how to ride a bike in 2 hours.

Darren is the kindest and most patient instructor you could ever have when wanting to learn how to ride a bike. I’m 25 and was petrified to ride a bike for the first time, but Darren was immediately so reassuring and kind. It’s like learning to ride from a great friend. I’d recommend bikehappy to everyone who wants to learn/up skill themselves in riding a bike. And I’m grateful to have met and gotten to know Darren, a very wonderful, friendly instructor. Thanks Darren, I’m now locking in a bike tour through the tulip fields in Amsterdam 😊

The Bike Happy learn-to-ride course for my 5-year-old daughter was a total success.

Darren's calm, kind and fun manner meant she was raring to go each day and clearly trusted him fully. They made fast progress each session, meaning that after the 3 x 45 minute sessions, she had gone from a very cautious rider with stabilisers to a confident rider without. She continues to talk about what she learnt with Darren and wants to sign up to another of his courses!

From my point of view, Darren was so helpful in our communications and kindly helped us choose the perfect bike for our daughter to learn on at the very last minute.

Nothing seemed too much trouble and he seemed to genuinely care that each of his students - and their families - got the best experience possible.

I'd highly recommend this to anyone considering a course with Bike Happy.

So amazing - great support and teaching! I've been scared of riding a bike and have a fear of falling too which makes it super difficult. Darren was amazing and super patient with my progress - within my first ever lesson I was able to ride smoothly on his bike and Santander bikes. Will definitely return to improve my bike riding as I want to cycle on the roads soon!

I didn’t learn to ride a bike growing up and decided to learn at the age of 40. I did the Adult Learn to Ride class and really enjoyed it. Darren was very patient and you can tell he has a huge amount of experience teaching people of various ages to ride. I don’t have very good balance but by the end of the session was able to set off and ride on my own! Darren was also very helpful with advice on a bike to buy after the class.

Darren is a fabulous instructor! I'm 33 and have never ridden a bicycle before but not only did Darren get me up and running in our 2.5hr session, I thoroughly had the best time! His teaching was thorough, walked me through each stage and he was totally patient. Darren is always encouraging, and makes you feel you can achieve anything!

I booked my beginners cycling lesson with Darren in Jan 2023, hoping to finally conquer learning how to ride a bike which I didn't do as a child.

I booked onto a private 2.5hr lesson and met Darren at Battersea Park. He was on time and brought along everything I would need and also provided detailed instructions before the session.

Darren was the perfect teacher, super encouraging and provided lots of helpful tips and guidance, and made me feel completely at ease.

I came away from the session knowing how to ride a bike! I'm hugely grateful to Darren for helping me learn a valuable new life skill and would recommend him highly for anyone wanting to learn.

It was a super experience especially on a morning it has been snowing for days on. It turned out to be an extremely rewarding day considering it was cold minus 3-5 degrees when we started in the morning. But after the exercise that Darren carefully planned to do...within 15 minutes I felt as if it was a nice Spring day. The whole experience was surreal doing something I so wished to do for many years and managed to do in my 50s. Thank you Darren for your patience.

Great, flexible and got my 8 year old riding a bike in three lessons.

Darren was amazing. I was incredibly nervous about my cycling lesson to the point of being close to tears and Darren immediately put me at ease and talked through my fears and what we'd be doing which helped enormously.

Being petite at 5 ft, I was concerned about a bike feeling unwieldy or too big, but the equipment Darren provided made it easy to get started.

I never felt like I was rushed in to doing anything which made me feel uncomfortable and was so so thrilled to be able to cycle by the end of the lesson.

Darren is so calm and knowledgeable! I felt supported the whole time and now feel ready to cycle on my own.
