The optician was really good. Very friendly but professional and she uses the latest technology. The receptionists are lovely, too. Unfortunately, the spectacles are very pricey.

Eye test booked for 1p.m. today. Walked the 1 min up the road, there just before 1 p.m. Women sitting in reception also waiting. Reception booked me in, filled in form, and as we were doing that, the other woman was taken in to a room.
I was asked to sit.
1.15 p.m. I walked out! I was told the other woman was an emergency, but then I was told her appointment was 12.30 - so why was she not in the exam room.
YOU DO NOT GET A SECOND CHANCE TO MAKE A FIRST IMPRESSION.
When asked why they had not rung me to say running late I was told "you would have been on your way" Erm NO - I literally work just at the end of the road - 1 minute to get here and you have wasted 15 mins of my valuable lunch hour. If the exam takes 30 mins - that means almost ALL my lunch hour has gone and I have a lot to do. Asked to re-schedule - no way.
Sorry BILLS Opticians, I had great service from your Newton Abbot branch for quite a long time but your Teignmouth branch have just lost you a client. Do not blame your receptions - blame your Ms Hiscox!

Recently had my son's glasses, updated with a new frame, maintaining the old lenses, as the frame arm was broken. Bill Opticians at Newton Abbott replaced the broken frame at no extra cost, that's just simply service at it's best. Many thanks.

I can’t recommend Bills highly enough especially Louise in Newton Abbot who is the contact lens specialist. Very informative and thorough, taking time to explain things.

I attended Bills in HONITON for eye test they recommended new lenses but said that they could not supply those required & recommended Specsavers.
I took Bills prescription & had new glasses made the new glasses proved to be defective due to the incorrect prescription from Bills visited Bills to ask they refund money paid to Specsavers this they refused fortunately Specsavers refunded me in full.
I have since been told I do not need new glasses as my old ones are adequate.

All the members of staff I met with were knowlegeable, helpful and professional. I have felt, at other high street opticians that I was merely a unit that needed processing. Nothing could be further from the truth with Bill Opticians. I would strongly recommend them, they were so helpful and obliging

What lovely staff!
Although my appointment was made by admin at the wrong branch, the staff at Tiverton were so apologetic and tried really hard to fit me in as I was concerned about an eye problem.In the end the lovely Emma used her admin time to do a full assessment and reassure me.
I haven't enough words of praise for all the staff that tried to put it right which they managed...with bells on!
Thoroughly recommend this optician.

I have never been impressed enough before to even think of leaving a review, but what amazing customer service from the young lady I spoke to, I didn't catch her name as no name badge, but she couldn't have been more helpful, even though she was extremely busy with a que of customers & on her own, she still took the time to listen to my query & help me, even though I'm not a registered customer. I wish more people were like this, truly outstanding, my faith has been restored, thank you.

Ever since moving to Bill Opticians from the well known highstreet chains, I have felt much more at home under their care. They are professional, friendly and provide an excellent service all round.

I am a patient at the Dawlish branch and since moving to the town in 2015 my wife and I have had our eyes examined by Mr John Campbell. He is amazingly thorough and professional but is also soft spoken and solicitous. I have cataracts in both my eyes and Mr Campbell wrote to the NHS to request I be assessed for surgery. My first operation is next week. He also found an anomaly in one of my wife's eyes which had never previously been noticed. Luckily it is not in any way sinister but we were so pleased with Me Campbell's vigilance, which was praised by the senior consultant to whom my wife was referred.

The dispensing team at Dawlish are also excellent. There may be less expensive opticians around, but we are very happy with the value that we get as clients of Bills.

I wouldn't go anywhere else having been to Bill's in Totnes. It's 5 star service every time.

As soon as I walk in the door the service is perfect. I have popped in on several occasions to have my glasses tightened up without an appointment and it's never too much trouble.

Phillipa's examinations are always very thorough and she has an air of calm about her, never hurried.

Sarah's advice when choosing the right glasses is invaluable, and she is knowledgeable about how to choose the right glasses to fulfill my requirements as well as my prescription. This is so important when investing in glasses, I wear them most of the time so I like them to look good!

I also buy my contact lenses through Bill'
s and find my lenses are far more comfortable and effective than my previous opticians prescription.

I have recommended Bill's to many people, some of which have taken my advice and are now very happy customers, as I am.

As ever a great service for myself and all my family as nothing is to much trouble.

Having experienced poor customer service at an optician previously, I attended Bill Opticians nervously but on the recommendation of a friend this time. What a difference! Throughout the process of examination, reporting of findings, measuring, fitting and collection of new specs, I was treated in the most cheerful, courteous, unhurried, compassionate and professional manner by every member of staff that I encountered. How sad that this level of service is unusual these days, but thank you so much Bill Opticians. I'll be back.... but not for at least a year hopefully, so don't worry!

I've been a customer at Honiton branch for 8 years. During that time I've been impressed not only by their courtesy, efficiency and friendliness but there's also a dress-code for staff which is such a welcome change and, for me, enhances the business atmosphere.
I've previously written to the firm's Head Office in complimentary terms as well.

My family have used Bills in Newton Abbot for years & have always thought very highly of them so when my turn came for a new pair of glasses I wasn’t disappointed.
From the initial warm greeting through to the very thorough eye tests & choosing of my glasses I have nothing but gratitude for the excellent service all round that Bills Opticians provided.

I visited 3 branches of Bill Opticians: Tiverton, Exeter and Newton Abbot. Staff in every branch were helpful and patient as I tried to find the 'perfect' specs. Eventually I made a choice in Tiverton and was very pleased to receive personal attention.Thank you very much Helen I have health issues which could impact on my quality of vision. I am certain that the assessment and testing at Bill Opticians was thorough and therefore can trust that my eyesight is in very capable and caring hands.
