very slow service....theres 3 sections available but only 1 is in use. they should open all 3 so people are not waiting 90 minutes in line. and there should be a large ice chest stocked with gatorade
Racist people and very rude wasted 4 hours for nothing
Went there to help people by donating plasma and to help myself with being paid .after I went through all the screening and seen by the doctor only to sit and wait for almost 4 hours I was told I was dehydrated as I no that I was not .I drank water the day before and the day of had a good breakfast and plenty of water the doctor even gave me a drink with electrolytes and crackers to make sure .when I go back to get hooked up I watch as 4 people of the opposite color get taken care of before me even tho I was there 10 min before my appointment so after I asked y I've been there over 3 hours I was finally getting hooked just to be told I was dehydrated which was a lie and told I did not drink enough water the day before my appointment she did not even attempt to hook me up to the machine I was disgusted by the rude and obvious racism
No respect for you or your time
No respect for you or your time. Nurses arenât equipped actual skills.
Disorganized, Unprofessional and Rude
When I decided to give plasma donation a try after seeing a friend do it years ago, I didn't know what a major pain it would be. The first visit, I was told by BioLife to go home at closing time because they were overbooked after I had waiting 2 1/2 hours. And I had a reserved time slot.
The second visit, after waiting at least 2 hours, I was told that a prior surgery several years ago would require a doctor's release for me to donate. I got the release signed and came back for a third visit. A nurse missed the signed release and still had me deferred, a step she couldn't undo. Then she told me that my surgery would disqualify me as a donor for 5 years. I pointed out the numerous donors in the building with tattoos, many looking very fresh, and that my procedure was done 3 years earlier under the most sterile surgical conditions, and I was cleared as healed and healthy since. Wasn't enough for them. The medical hypocrisy is astounding.
This is a real-life example of the stark difference between whole blood donation and compensated donations. The place is a leper colony. Employees are short with customers and many of them lack professionalism. Much of the intake process seems highly disorganized, and I could see where a lot screening steps could be missed.
Never again.
I had a great experience
I had a great experience. Per usual. I was taken care by golby. Fantastic job she does every time. Thanks golby and thank you bio life. Yâall keep up the great work everyone.
BioPlasma says bring in Social securityâŠ
BioPlasma says bring in Social security card, I did but because my middle was nor written in full, not accepted. I brought in my gas bill, again within the month but not accepted as was only the bottom portion with due date of same month. ....when I go to banks, do my taxes, prove of ID with social security for job ....never had my Social security card questioned in my life. I feel like they just didn't want to have me as a donor.
Huge Waste of Time
Went to my first appointment. I have an illness that supposedly precludes me from donating without doctor approval. It shouldn't and I think it's really stupid that it does. They were supposed to contact my doctor and get back to me. They never did. I went somewhere else.
Black and white plasma nurse threw away 2 pints of my blood
OK, so what happened was the last time I donated a short woman with white and black hair split down? The middle of her head but anyway she told me the machine is breaking and do you want to tap out and I said is it gonna affect me in anyway this is the woman who is short and has white and black hair have her head is white other hair is black I asked the plasma nose whatâs white and black hair is there a penalty for tapping out when the plasma leader is maybe an inch away from me impactful it was a full bottle of plasma -1 inch so basically it was a full 1 L and she asked her if there any penalty if I tap out because the plasma machine messed up again the woman assured me Iâve been doing this for 20 years, and there is no penalty whatsoever. Absolutely not. Youâll be paid the full amount and you will not be penalized for tapping out because the machine was screwing up even though the pipe bottle it was an inch from being full. so after the third time of the plasmon nurse with white and black hair at the third time, she told me that I am fine no penalties no matter what Iâve already donated 90% of the plasma so I donât need to worry about being penalized guaranteed I do it for 20 years I promise you no problem, so I said OK maâam, thank you I will tap out so she disconnected the plug to my blood van and she pulled out the needle and within seconds. She was at the machine and grabbed to Pints of my blood and threw them And threw them in the garbage, for my blood that I didnât know I for my blood that I do not know
I didnât know I needed them 2 pints of blood to my body and plasma, nurse failed to tell me that she was going to throw away 2 pounds of my red blood. He said donât worry Iâve been doing this for 20 years Iâm a professional youâre not be penalized in anyway, and she threw away 2 pints of my real wives, red blood cells, white blood cells, threw it away in the trash like garbage. That was very upsetting to watch her. Discard my blood. I always joke to people that Glasmann nurses are vampires at this time the woman with white and black hair was a real life vampire because she just threw away my blood like it was garbage. She lied to me and told me there was no penalty yet she threw away 2 pints of blood and when I came back to donate next time that week I came back to donate the woman at the front desk and help you and I said yeah I just tried to do your key off and itâs saying I need to speak with one of the people at the front desk so she said let me look it up and she said oh I see here the last time you donated blood you lost 2 pints and I said no I didnât lose it. I was never told it was getting thrown away until it was right in front of my face going through the air into the trashcan. She said well so you lost 2 pints of blood so youâre not allowed to donate for two months so thatâs nurse. Are you guys plasma want to be a 20 year professional claimed all of this BS and it was 100% be ours she didnât tell me I was losing blood she didnât say I will be paralyzed. She said you will not be paralyzed you will not lose anything youâre young friend dragons always youâll be fine and there goes my blood into the garbage can before before I could say a word before I could see if they buy that it was too late so the next time I was due to donate I came back and the nurse said no you have to wait two months, so not only with my penalized for not feeling that bottle I lost 2 pints of blood. I lost 16 different times. I couldâve donated what I needed the money to survive by eating food. I was treating my blood my plasma for money, which is a very small amount is even smaller now and all I would do in return was food, one thing you need to do in order to donate you need to eat so this woman pretty much made me starve for two months . I have no food. I have to wait two months before I can donate again because I lost ability to donate. I wasnât able to eat food or pay my rent so I ended up being homeless, forcing me to quit my job because you cannot have a job so I became homeless starving low on blood by 2 pints thing I can see in my head is some crazy, white and black haired nurse, telling me sheâs a professional, I know you people donât give a and about us but you really should give a about us donators . The company is willing to make an offer to amend the insanity caused by one of your employees which flip my life into a damn tumbles spin mad but youâre company merged with the only other plasma, donation center in Statesboro, and the reason your company did that was so that you could control the monopoly on the amount of money you paid and because of that youâre cutting the amount of money and half that she should be giving these people who are giving plasma. I want compensation for damages Or we can go to the next level. If your company forces me to get an attorney on God I will not settle out of court Class, action lawsuit against your company 9125158042 Luke Green

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCEâŒïž
I came in at 11:10am and didnât have someone help me until 1:10am (2 hours later). I waited two hours just for the lady to tell me that I couldnât be helped because I didnât have a hard copy of my social security card. I told them as soon as I entered that I didnât have a hard copy and they said that they could still take me. They had way too many people trying to donate and very few workers so it took long for everyone. Over HORRIBLE experience and very unpleasedâŒïžâŒïž

Bio life in Holland Michigan is a veryâŠ
Bio life in Holland Michigan is a very unprofessional facility. My first time donating plasma, the nurse missed my vein and left a huge welt and bruise on my arm. After the procedure I was told that I was ineligible to donate because of a medical condition which they didn't tell me before my first donation. They told me that I would only be able to schedule an appointment after I was cleared in the system. I called them twice and got no return call but I was able to finally make an appointment online thinking that I was cleared to donate. Living 40 miles from the facility in Holland in drove in on my scheduled appointment and when I walked in they told me that I was ineligible to donate and had to leave. If the management can't return multiple messages to inform you of your status or other simple things then they need to be fired and replaced with competent people who can. This facility does not care about the individual and their unprofessional work ethics show it.
Great experience
Sudha is an amazing person to work with. Very professional and makes sure you are comfortable and assured with the process.
Treat you like trash! Horrible customer service!
I just called the Lakewood location and the person answering the phones âCrystalâ is extremely rude. My first two calls she didnât even say hello but put my call on hold for 5 min. When I called the third time she admitted that it was her and gave me her name and when I suggested that she might say sheâs busy to the caller and let them know she needs to place them on hold she hung up on me. I work in customer service and have for 15 years. How is this acceptable behavior for someone representing your company? If they treat you like this over the phone imagine how they will treat you in person.

After wasting 3 hours of my time on twoâŠ
After wasting 3 hours of my time on two separate visits, and requiring me to have a physical, they lost my confidential medical records. When I explained that I had turned them in personally, a very rude young man told me that it wouldn't matter anyway because the "doctor" would have to review something anyway.
Listed as anybody 18-69 can donateâŠ
Listed as anybody 18-69 can donate plasma. I signed up on line date of birth included date of birth and liscence Ai front door another time vital and blood work. Questioner and review and very last qualification which could have been first qualification is I am 68 years old and anybody 68 or older has to have his/her doctor fill out forms to find if I am healthy. Then why take my blood. I passed with flying colors. Will you pay for my doctors visit or maybe bloodworm or maybe different test and how often willit be necessary.

I gave one star because I signed up onâŠ
I gave one star because I signed up on line an no where on line did it say bring your social sec card, I didnât bring mine I had my drivers license my Medicare card I am 68 but I thought I had my SS card but I didnât, so lady had me put my SS number in commuter an she said some 3rd party would check it out, in the mean time I gave address ph number by that time 3rd party had checked my SS number an verified it, I went to another computer an they started asking questions about allergies, have you ever fainted, an for some reason they asked several questions about being in Ireland,???? Answered all those then had to see a nurse who went over my answers with me an the first five questions about HIV an Ireland where I answered No she claimed I answered yes then she said thatâs why were going over this ,then she asked about my allergies told her about my allergy to latex gloves an latex powder that was opening she needed to eliminate me she said they may have latex gloves an since I was allergic to them I couldnât give at this particular plasma donation but they is another down the street they would take me I said ok I understand whatâs going on ,an can I get all my personal info erased off computer the nurse who eliminated me said no it has to stay in case I come back , asked why would I come back ,you all also have one of my finger prints ,but I was worried about my SS number an since I will not be donating at that Plasma place they donât need all my private info, so she let me speak to the manager who was very nice an told me the FDA wants them to keep all my info so I left with manager saying she would call corporate an ask them about removing my info an I called the FDA to see if what she told me was true,,waiting on call back from FDA now other then that they were very professional an place was very clean, impressive place , but I think thy need to give test first before they get all personal info then if person passes , then sign them up .
I gave one star because I had to⊠DonâtâŠ
I gave one star because I had to⊠Donât go here if you have tattoos on your arms because they will deny you. I went and made the appointment and nobody said anything and I went to my appointment and they completely wasted my time and told me that they canât service me.
