DONâT EVEN BE TEMPTEDâŠ.. (1 STAR ONLY BECAUSE THERE ISNâT A 0!)
My goodness folks, just read the reviews â 7 of them, all allegedly from different customers yet practically all the same, and no recent ones either good or bad!.
Smacks to me of being far from genuine.
Please, please, please donât throw your money away by buying from this Company â consider giving it to a worthwhile Charity instead â I wish I hadâŠ..
I threw my money away on a pair of menâs mule sandals grossly overpriced at £34.99p. purchased for an upcoming foreign break.
No 1 - Delivery:
Basically, the website suggested that delivery of my order, allowing for weekends, should have been 4 to 7 days.
After 9 days a sympathetic response to an inquiry I made with them informed me that the time frame of 4 â 7 days is ââŠ. an estimated window only and cannot be guaranteedâ and that the order was âwith our partner logistics provider and progressing through transitâ
It also stated that tracking indicated the goods were still in CHINA, which if Iâd known thatâs where they were originating from I would have stayed well clear having been burned by cheap Chinese tat before and I swore Iâd never do it again. Nowhere on their website is China ever referred toâŠ..
They actually arrived after 12 days, missing the break they were intended for, which isnât good.
No 2 - Quality:
THESE ARE QUITE CLEARLY NOT THE MULES DEPICTED IN THE ONLINE PHOTOâS AND THE WRONG SIZE!!
Apart from them sending me a size 42 (UK 8) when I ordered a size 43 (UK 9) - I can honestly say Iâve never seen as much cheap tat in my life. They cannot be described as anything other. They are flimsy, ugly and look exactly what they are â cheap and nasty!
These are typical of the same inferior Chinese manufacturing quality I have previously experienced.
They DO NOT resemble the sandals I ordered at all and the quality beggars belief. If these were in a shop youâd just walk by and expect them to be priced at £1.99 maximum â and even then you probably wouldnât pay it.
Despite requesting a return and refund within 2 hours of receipt on the 14th May, they make you jump through hoops using every delaying tactic in the book in the hope you give it up as a bad job.
Theyâve absolutely no intention whatsoever of giving you a refund. They even attempt the old âWeâll refund you 20% and you keep the shoesâ
I DONâT WANT THE SHOES â THEYâRE VILE, I WANT TO RETURN THEM AND HAVE A FULL REFUND, NOTHING MORE, NOTHING LESS. IS THAT TOO HARD TO UNDERSTAND?
Fortunately for me these were purchased by Barclaycard so under their âChargeback Protection Schemeâ, I do have some recourse, which would naturally be a further embarrassment to Bitchbourne (not that they care), but itâs with Barclaycard now so Iâll just have to wait patiently for an outcomeâŠ.
So, what a horrible experience Iâve had.
I, personally, will NEVER be using Birchbourne again and consider them to me a highly immoral and disgusting company, and I only hope some benefit comes from my review and that others heed the warning and stay well clearâŠâŠ
