BitNinja repeatedly pushed new releases without adequate testing. When one of these releases caused problems, affected customers were not notified by email. The only communication was a notice inside the BitNinja dashboard, meaning you would only see it after logging in.

Even after BitNinja released a fix, we continued experiencing issues related to the same problem.

A few weeks later, we logged in and found almost 400 notifications containing information from other BitNinja customers. These included failed payment notifications and update errors from servers that did not belong to us. This was extremely concerning and raised serious questions about how customer data is handled.

After these repeated incidents, we immediately removed BitNinja from our infrastructure. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend their software or services to anyone.

I’ve been using BitNinja for almost a year now and it just quietly does its job. Their IP list (over 3M addresses) seemed the biggest among the options I compared, and after I turned it on my server load actually went down and performance got better. I also really like that I can manage several servers from one dashboard, I didn’t really find this solved as nicely elsewhere. Overall, I’m happy with it and haven’t had any real issues so far.

hey have blacklisted my entire ISP without any proof or justification. They claimed the attacks came from Malaysia, but I’m from Iraq/Kurdistan — a completely different country
