Black Hat Editor Tools is the best AI plugin for Premiere Pro I've used: automatic silence removal, animated captions, AI B-roll generation and multicam podcast editing in one panel. Many features are free ! Replaced AutoCut, FireCut and Submagic for me.

I've tested most AI plugins for Premiere Pro over the last year: AutoCut, FireCut, AutoPod and PremiereCopilot. Black Hat Editor Tools is the one that stayed installed. It covers in one Premiere Pro panel what I used to split across three subscriptions: automatic silence removal (AutoCut-style, but it also catches repeated takes), animated subtitles word by word, AI B-roll generation, multicam podcast editing by speaker, and an AI assistant that executes editing instructions on the timeline. On a 40-minute talking-head video, silence removal plus captions took me under 15 minutes instead of a full afternoon. Compared with AutoCut, the derush is more precise on retakes; compared with FireCut, the captions are editable as clips. The free plan is real, the 14-day trial needs a card. If you're looking for an AutoCut alternative or a FireCut alternative for Premiere Pro, start here.
