Service and kindness

The blinds were made and then installed quickly.

Blinds to go sold me a replacement part for some blinds. It was overpriced and they offered the wrong part twice despite having my order history.

Since then I have gotten 3 emails and 3 text messages asking me to review them.

Save yourself money, time and endless solicitations and emails. Go somewhere better.

The sales rep Andrew was very knowledgeable. He helped me stay within budget, blinds were delivered and installed earlier than expected. I am happy with the blinds and the installation.

The rating of 3 stars applies to the product that we received due to imperfections in the assembly of the blind. We returned the blind, another one was sent to us but it had more imperfections than the original. We took the original back and have settled with those imperfections.
The staff deserves a 5 star review as they went above and beyond from the original placing of the order to dealing with the issue of the product.

This was my first experience with Blinds To Go, and unfortunately, it was very disappointing. I was surprised that a company of this size could provide such poor customer service and product quality.
The information provided to me was incomplete, and the measurements were incorrect. As a result, I received draperies with uneven lengths that only partially cover the windows, giving an unattractive appearance despite the significant amount of money I spent.
Overall, this experience did not meet my expectations, and I would not recommend Blinds To Go based on the service and products I received.

The office staff and installers were superb.
My reservations are with the quality of the blinds themselves. Now that we've had several days with them, I will be asking for a repair or replacement of one blind which is very hard to raise and lower.
I will also be requesting longer chains for the 4 of 8 blinds that cover from the ceiling to halfway to the floor. The chains could go the additional 8 to 9" to the bottom of the blind to make opening and closing these blinds easier for short people (5' 3").

When I dropped off the blind, I was given a timeline that was not correct to pick it up. I was also not offered a privacy paper at that time. I guess the employee was in a hurry to go home.
The person gave me a general phone number without citing the extension so it was impossible to reach the store to the point that I had to go there.
When the blinds were finally ready, service was pleasant and it was fixed.

Blinds came on time and work well.

1. Didn't get exactly what I had hoped. Guidance from Sales was not up to par.
2. Order was not fulfilled initially due to a rod mixup & I had to have a third drapery panel ordered because the 2 panels were insufficient for privacy & appearance.
3. When draperies were hung initially, there was no steaming so they hung liked wrinkled rags. I was told by the Installer that they couldn't be steamed because they would stretch. When he came back to finish installation a month later & to steam the wrinkled drapes, he told me that steaming was no longer part of the service because it took too much time.
4. My black out drapes in the bedroom were not of the same quality that I had received on a previous order. They have a heavy plastic-like lining that makes them harder to slide on the rod.
5. It wasn't until after I emailed the Designer/Sales Representative that I was able to get the steaming done. Even after this was completed horizontal fold creases are still visible in the draperies.
6. I am 70 years old & quite arthritic, so I was expecting a service that would not require my getting up & down on a ladder to steam, remove & iron, or whatever it takes to improve the look of my draperies.

The two roller blinds on our patio doors were rubbing on the wand connectors and fraying before the installation person was at the end of our street. The blinds are "travelling" instead of rolling straight. We sent many photos and details to the store and were told the travelling is because the blackout material we chose is too thick to roll tightly. Begs the question: why did you sell it to us?! Also, the two blinds were not installed at the same height. Photo of this was provided to the store. We were refused a refund because it was a custom order. Aren't most blinds custom orders? So in the case where both the quality and installation are substandard, should the customer not receive a refund? Very disappointed and upset.

Sales staff was great. No pressure, showed us the difference between products and provided cost estimates. Installation by Moe was excellent. He arrived on time and did a fantastic job. Very pleasant people to deal with. Would recommend them anytime.
