A freiend told me about blomp, and I use it now for it. i am almost out of storage so i might buy some, but i think it's a cool little startup cloud storage (I say startup bcause they call themselves beta). Straightforward, clean and easy.

NO file size limits! USA based speeds! Affordable! No ads/tracking! I'm sold, reviewing the paid plan. :)

Blomp is the understated billionaire you know who still bags his own supermarket food and dresses in Old Navy, with the friendly nickname. Blomp. Sounds cool. 😊 It isn't pretentious or sleek in user interface. I don't care. Guess why? Because it does what those cool looking clouds don't: IT WORKS BEAUTIFULLY ON MY PROFESSIONAL FILES SMALL AND LARGE IN SIZE. IT DOES THE JOB WELL!

Blomp is my backup to IceDrive, another excellent service I cannot stop speaking about. IceDrive is my #1, Blomp my #2, and some of you may like that setup like me.

The no file size limit issue is a big deal coming from seeing caps on every major and new name in cloud services. Great if you're storing some photos. For real work needs and growing personal goals like any of us might have in school, business, corporate life, and/or the performing arts, you need a more serious drive. Serious isn't always going to come packaged cute.

Paid users don't get kicked out if not logging in for a year. Thank goodness, because that's so ableist to anyone like the professionals I know who have dealt with long term illness and/or cancer and need others to check their digital accounts to prevent losing them.

I wish they had lifetime plans. Yes, I wish they had payments outside of Amazon because I prefer straight up paying off my credit card and don't use Amazon most days.

After a purchase gone wrong this week that seemed promising, after dealing with nice people with a meh product, and the past years rude people with good products, it's exhausting. I found Blomp accidentally online.

It's not the most well known, so hopefully my review here adds to their mystique and gets people who care about a product over what it looks like to try it. I don't care how attractive a human is. If you are a terrible person, I'm not going to date you. That's how I am with tech. Blomp rocks.

USA speeds are good enough for me, and I like supporting a USA business that isn't one of the big tech companies!

I am leavng another review for another platform. but to focus on blomp, I love love love their free storage because who would want to pay. Second, Ilove the easiness to use the platform because I do not have time for any headaches/issues. blomp has been good to me and actually use it for my work stuff. it's not super fancy but to be honest as long as it work i dont care.

400 GB is crazyyyyyyy..... but not complining .. lol. Anybody who wants free storage, try blomp. I just started to try the test storage thing, and I can say that it works. I'll come back once I use the features.

Love the sharing feature

Hey I tried Blomp because of the folder access control. What I was constantly findng was that other apps just give you a link and was very confusing. I like that Blomp let's you control who sees what and if they can edit or just view. It's good for my team work stuff. I think for anyone who doesnt want to spend money, its a good free cloud

Lost all files

I have used the free storage service for some years, but have not been able to access my uploaded files within the past about half year.

Even when uploading a new file to test today - the same when creating a new directory -- I cannot see either of them.
(0 files/folders)

We wanted to revisit the review you posted, given the additional information we received about your case. While we’ve already reached out separately, we also wanted to connect here in case you missed our direct message.
From what we can see, the issue arose because your original account was deactivated under our Free Plan policy, which requires logging in at least once every 12 months. (Only paid plans do not require the users to log in once a year)
Although we do offer a reactivation option for a small $5 fee, it looks like you have created a brand-new account using the same email address. This unfortunately reset your account history and removed access to older files.
To clarify, this wasn’t a system failure. Now, looking at your current account, it is fully active and secure. Just a reminder, since it’s on our Free Plan, you’ll just need to log in at least once a year to keep it active going forward.

Doomscrolling storage hacks on Reddit helped me find Blomp. Signing up was easy, and getting more storage was easier. I like using it, but would recommend more advanced features.

BEWARE BLOMP CLOUD STORAGE

I bought their cloud service yesterday which is based in the USA. I used my MasterCard via Amazon payments to do this. I could not connect to the site for a considerable time and when I did the dashboard would not let me download their software. I immediately requested a refund as their digital service was not working. I updated them about the problem. If you are using Windows 11 you cannot load their execution file which is based on other windows systems. Further research revealed other people are having the same problem but accompanied by poor bug load dashboard errors. So please do not make the mistake I did there is a reason they are the cheapest it does not work has constant errors and they decline to refund you. I shall attempt a refund via Amazon or my bank.

The issue you experienced was specific to our BlompLive app, which is currently being updated for Windows 11. In the meantime, our web dashboard and BlompGo app for Windows were available and working for other users.

Blomp is pretty helpful actually.

Honestly, I was pretty skeptical at first.., 400GB free?? That sounded way too good to be true because most platforms have something hidden. But I’ve been using Blomp for a few months now and it’s been super solid. I literally moved all my stuff from Google Drive in one click and now I’m using it for work backups and random school notes.Personally I love that it’s encrypted, and that it's cheap if you want more space later. Sharing stuff is not that complicated and you get to control exactly who can see your files.

Awful service, slower than a pc running windows 98
Blomp like to get reviews removed to scam people with their poor service, so they ask for more information from you, email/ telephone number etc, when you refuse to give personal info that's not relevant to any usage they get them taken down

The service is just disgusting

The service is just disgusting, it is impossible to use. I bought a 3 month subscription for 10 TB, rushed for two days trying to upload my files, but the folders kept disappearing somewhere, the files were downloaded into one big dirty pile, the download speed was about zero, technical support is zero, the interface is miserable, clumsy, it's like the app was developed in the 90s by a bunch of Indian students. I cancelled the subscription so as not to forget to do it in 3 months, and they just took my 10 TB from me and did not return the money, without any warning, instantly! This is an absolutely scam service, I do not recommend using it.

Blomp's cool.

Blomp's cool.. at least for me. I signed up because I needed a free place so if i am being honest i didn't care where I was signing up.. as long as it works. Blomp does and I have come to like it. I am thinking of subscriving but they don't have a phone app so i am going to wait until they do. Anyway, overall, I like it.

Great software

Been on Blomp for 3 weeks now. My expectations were low because of what I read online, not gonna lie. But it works for me??? No bugs, no ads, uploads don’t randomly fail. Customer service helped me out when I locked myself out. What's the reviews about? is it just me?

Can not even access their website for the past 4 days

I tried to come back to use their cloud storage, as they were designing a better rclone integration, however, for the last 4 days, I can not even access their website, neither on my pc or on my cellular phone! Makes me wonder if they suddenly went under, or out of business.

Honestly...

Honestly, I like Blomp... I don't understand what the complaints are about. I think it's an amazing cloud storage service. I travel a lot, so I use it for storing my travel photos. It's easy, so that's all I care about. Don't have issues with the speed too. Plus, I got an extra 400GB of storage... so all good with me.
