Very Poor comunication .very slow .want to add as many 3rd party's and fee's . Do not follow brief . 3 months for a simple dorma application that already had drawings also expensive with odd extra costs

My family and I have consulted Bloomfields on several occasions about different properties and each time John McSweeney has provided knowledgeable and valuable advice in a very pleasant manner. Highly recommended!

Having been advised by John McSweeney that we had a very good chance of success, we agreed Bloomfields quote to carry out a planning appeal on our behalf. Having lost our appeal, we were surprised to then receive an invoice for almost double the agreed quote, without ever being notified that costs were escalating. We raised our concerns about the lack of communication, requesting a refund of the additional monies charged. Despite Bloomfields agreeing that they should have communicated better, of course, they would not refund any monies. We found Gary Mickelborough's (Director) tone in emails aggressive and, as we were never going to agree, requested the complaint be progressed to the next level. We were not provided with a 'final complaint response' and were then "ghosted" by Mr Mickelborough. We therefore contacted the companies detailed on their website complaints procedure at the time - the Property Ombudsman and RTPI, only to be told that Bloomfields weren't even registered with the Property Ombudsman and that John McSweeney wasn't a member of RTPI - so there is absolutely no recourse should you find yourself needing to escalate a complaint. Sharing this to highlight a particularly unscrupulous, untrustworthy company. Please be aware and consider taking your business elsewhere.

We as a family couldn’t have picked a harder project. Working with Tom over the last three years on our forever home, has been frustrating, overwhelming and a definite learning curve on all the planning regulations, I have wanted to give up so many times , but with Tom,s patience and guidance on our journey, he has delivered our dream. I can recommed this company as a hard working team that are at the end of the phone.
We worked with Russell designing the house to our needs as a family home and a working farm once talking with Russell he came up with the drawings and had listen to what we had to say and what we needed,

With absolutely no experience we decided on trying to obtain an outline planning permission on a piece of inherited land. A massive thank you to Sam, Nicola and the team who made it a completely painless and worry free experience and good value. Communication was excellent, they were very patient with my ignorance and explained everything thoroughly. Highly recommended.

The professionalism of both Sam and Ben made it a pleasure to work with Bloomfields in what can be a stressful process in obtaining planning. Always prompt to respond, their knowledge and experience showed as we felt very clear about what the next steps were as well as what is required within any supporting documentation. Wouldn't hesitate to appoint them again and could not recommend their services highly enough.

I used Bloomfields to help remove the AOC on my property and found them to be very knowledgeable and helpful with my position. I worked with them and after gaining CLEUD we then successfully managed to remove the AOC.
Would highly recommend them to help anyone in the same situation and would definitely seek further advice and support if required in the future

Will , Dan and the team took on our stable project planning and ensured it was processed efficiently without any issues. From the site visit to application , their plans and applications were done to a high standard and allowed us to hand over the whole planning process. We had planning within a matter of weeks because they answered all the questions before they were asked. A very professional company, I will be using them for all our planning needs in the future.

Bloomfields were great at guiding us through a tricky planning application. Many planning consultants had told us we would never get planning approved on our site, but both Amy and Gary took time to advise us on the best possible plan based on policy. Beth provided excellent service in helping resolve a planning dispute with my neighbours. The Council planning team were not very helpful but Beth was very clear on the planning law in this case. It seemed that she actually knew the law better than the Council! We had to go through many different planning applications and it cost a lot but she achieved the right outcome in the end for which I was very grateful

Gary Bloomfields has worked tirelessly achieving planning permission on our yard which enabled us to get permission for 8 houses. Also getting us a new development on our land adjoining our property. Gary has always been very contentious and thorough on all work he has done for us and highly recommend him
