I joined Bluebird Care Edinburgh over a year ago as their Wellness and Mindfulness Consultant. The staff are an absolute pleasure to work with and there is a real family vibe. It feels great to give back and 'Care for the Carers' as well as implement fresh new Wellness policies and strategies. Delighted to be part of a forward thinking and hard working team, who's dedication to make a difference, is second to none.

I have been with Bluebird care now for nearly 1 year, the support I have received has been amazing. I was new to this role after being a carer for 12 years. Now I have completed my SVQ Level 4 and now moving onto a management qualification all with support of management and office staff pushing me to the best of my abilities.

I have worked with Bluebird Care Edinburgh previously, and decided to have a change in career..8 months later I returned as it just wasn't the same elsewhere. The team are fantastic, the management are beyond helpful and the directors are so involved which is something you don't see very often in this sector anymore. I love how we all come together to help eachother, to help our clients! 10 out of 10 place to work :-)

At every step - from first phone contact, through to finalising the account - Bluebird offered a level of support that was truly flexible and professional. They really are client-centred. I don’t think we could have cared for our mother without the professional expertise (and empathy) that Bluebird gave us.

I started my career with BlueBird nearly 3 years ago now and I was made to feel welcome when meeting other staff members and management. All training was provided by BlueBird which I found extremely helpful. I have met many of BlueBirds wonderful clients. within my first year of working for BlueBird I was nominated and won the carer of the year award scotland this was due to me doing a sponsored walk to help fundraise funds for a colleague in need. BlueBird management and colleagues are always on hand to provide support and help me further my career by supporting me through my SVQ lvl 7. With BlueBird there is no I in team.

I've been working for Bluebird for the last 6 months,loving my job.
Build professional relationships with client, follow care plan.
Communication with the team are very good from admin, supervisor, coordinator, manager and the owner are very approachable, helpful and friendly.
They supported me from induction days.
I feel part of the team.

It's a great place to work. Flexible working hours. Management pays attention to staff well-being. It fosters career development.

The directors are caring and supportive.

Not up to their usual high standards recently.

The carers are professional and are able to deal with all my requirements

Following a recommendation from a near neighbour who had been a manager with them we looked at Bluebird. In addition when dealing with medical staff who were dealing with my mother they said Bluebird were one of the better care organisations.

They stepped up to the plate and provide 3 visits a day. They were always there. Pretty much the same carers which we got to know and when you need to phone them, day, night or over the weekend there was someone at the end of the telephone line who was always able to take the call and progress matters.

All the carers and office staff were pleasant to deal with.

When my mother had a further setback and required 4 visits a day and some changes to the existing care plan, Bluebird came up with a workable solution.

In the end my mother needed more than 4 visits a day and has now gone into a care home but if the situation arose again I wouldn’t hesitate to engage their services.
