I can't recommend Laurel Johnson highly enough. From start to finish, she went above and beyond to ensure my clients mortgage case reached completion. Avoid this company if you value communication or efficiency.

My mother passed away last year and I have been trying to redeem her mortgage and finalise her estate. What should have been a relatively straightforward process became months of chasing, delays and frustration.

I repeatedly had to chase Bluestone for updates. A redemption statement that I was told would take 5 working days took significantly longer to arrive, and when it finally did, it was effectively valid for only the day it was issued. I then had to wait for source-of-funds checks to be completed despite providing all requested documentation.

After the mortgage was finally redeemed, I spent a further four weeks repeatedly requesting the discharge documentation needed to remove Bluestone’s security from the property title. Again, this only happened after constant chasing.

To make matters worse, I submitted a formal complaint and was told I would receive a further response within four weeks. That deadline has now passed and I am still waiting.

Throughout this process I have felt like I was doing Bluestone’s job for them. Every step required repeated follow-up, every delay held up the administration of my late mother’s estate, and no one seemed to take ownership of resolving the matter.

I appreciate that the mortgage has now been redeemed, but the level of service throughout this bereavement case has been extremely disappointing. I am still awaiting a satisfactory resolution to my complaint, including reimbursement of fees and interest incurred as a result of delays that were outside my control.

Bluestones was able to obtain us a mortgage after we were declined to due partners adverse credit, they were realistic and made our dreams come true. Cannot think Liz and the team enough, extremely professional and friendly. Worth every penny.

I went with bluestone as my credit check meant I couldn't go to high St lenders, bluestone accepted us and we are on a 5 year fixed rate mortgage at a very reasonable repayment rate.

I cannot recommend Bluestone Mortgages enough.

Our case was far from simple; Right to Buy, self-employed, and I had a really poor credit history. Every other lender we approached seemed to find our situation 'too complicated' or 'too much work' and they simply weren't interested.

Bluestone Mortgages was the complete opposite. They didn't shy away from the complexity; they actually rolled up their sleeves and put in the effort to understand our circumstances.

Against all the odds, they secured our mortgage with an interest rate that was much better than we expected.

If you feel like a 'difficult' case that the high street banks and lenders are ignoring, this is the lender you need. They turned a stressful 'no' into a life-changing 'yes'. Definitely a lender that actually puts in the effort for complex cases, when others can't be bothered to listen!

Very good service

I cannot rate Bluestone Mortgages highly enough. We applied for a remortgage via Haysto Mortgage Broker (another excellent company) because we had poor credit ratings due to past issues that were caused by no fault of our own. High Street mortgage lenders would not even consider us for a remortgage, even though we owned our property outright, due to poor credit scores. However, Bluestone, rather than the usual ‘computer says no’, considered our case on its individual merits and took various factors into account rather than just using a ‘tick box’ list. Even when an issue arose that would have caused other mortgage lenders to discard our application, Bluestone worked with us and Haysto to find a way around the problem. The interest rate is slightly higher than it would be for a remortgage from a high-street lender, and there is a fee as well, but that is understandable as people with low credit scores are obviously higher risk for a lender. Additionally, Bluestone had to work harder as they had to consider various factors in order to weigh up the risk, rather than taking the easier option of just saying no. They came up with an offer that is easily affordable and has put an end to our previous financial concerns. We would highly recommend Bluestone to anyone who is unable to secure a mortgage from a high-street lender for whatever reason. It is so refreshing (and unfortunately quite rare these days) to find a company that treats each customer as an individual and will go the extra mile to provide an excellent service.

Been waiting 14 weeks after a very stressful wait been told by broker today have issues with some of the documentation!!!!
Been sending documents daily everything but a blood sample.
Don’t waste your time no wonder you don’t pay for a valuation !!!!
Got to be more credible lenders out there !!!
