We had a garden room built onto our house. From the initial discussions, agreed design and completion, the service provided was outstanding. We are so happy with our new room and can’t thank all the joiners, electricians, plasterers enough for their high quality work. We would have no hesitation in recommending this company.

Professional and friendly service! They built our garden pod, half office, half garden storage to such a high standard. It looks amazing! Where we wanted the pod to be positioned created some challenges but these guys tackled them and got the job done! They gave us loads of options for the door/window layout, colour of cladding, flooring, required sockets and so on. This allowed us to get the setup we wanted. Excellent!

Derek was very helpful and went out of his way to accommodate all our requests and modify our original plans. Jordan and Calum, Jordan and Brad, Andy and David were all great making sure they tidied everything as they went. All were very dog friendly!

We are so happy with our newly-built garden room! From the very first visit, to the last, they were great to deal with!

Derek came out to give us a quote, and was full of great ideas, while also listening carefully to what we were looking for. He gave great advice, and had plenty of flooring and cladding samples with him.

The joiners, John and Jim, worked tirelessly for two weeks bringing the design to life, and their attention to detail was first class!

Even when there were (minor) snags, with incorrect light switches installed, the error was rectified within a couple of days.

We now have our perfect garden room with decking, and can't wait to get it decorated and furnished, to enjoy for years to come!

We had an excellent experience with Blythswood. We had an existing extension on our house which was always very cold. Marc and John came out several times to survey the extension and identify the improvements which were required to properly insulate the room. we agreed on an approach and also measured to fit new windows. John and Jim worked tirelessly for the week they were here to insulate the walls, raise the floor and fit new windows and doors, all done to a very high standard. John and Jim worked extremely hard with no disruption at all to our family (2 young children) and made the full process so smooth. Marc and his team came in then to plaster the extension, again to the highest standard. all in all a great experience.

We've had an excellent experience with BHI despite a couple of issues along the way, I.e. company being sold to a new owner and us not keen on the colour of window handles we chose.
The sale of the company at the start of the process caused a few hiccups but Derek sorted them out and sent John out to check the measurements. The windows were installed on the agreed date and the team did an excellent job removing blinds etc, fitting the windows and replacing everything afterwards. They cleaned up and the finish was so good you wouldn't know the windows had been changed except the new windows looked so much better.
That was to get the windows on the front of the house replaced. We were so impressed we decided to get the rest of the windows replaced and are so pleased with the results.

We had all our windows and external doors replaced a few months ago. The sales lady Jenna was very nice, she communicated well.
Unfortunately, the day before the work was supposed to start I hadn't heard anything so contacted the business WhatsApp to confirm, which is when I was informed that something hasn't arrived so it will be done the following week. That was after 4pm and only after me contacting them.
The actual work was done well and we are happy with our new windows and doors. However, there were a few bits that needed finishing and they said they'd be back the next week.
They came back 2 weeks later after we reminded them. Then there were 2 other issues which I was told they'd be back again for. I was hesitant to make the final payment but Alan gave me his 'word' that they would come back. So I paid the full amount and they did come back (after we reminded them a couple times) and then they couldn't fix one window because they needed to access it from outside so would come back... They never did. Probably because we didn't remind them repeatedly.

We were also promised a voucher on completion as a promotion they had. I asked about the voucher and was told that they would send it to me. After numerous reminders, I was told that someone was on holiday so they weren't able to get it. But instead of letting me know, every time they wait to inform me after I ask repeatedly. I initially hoped to use the voucher on Christmas gifts but wasn't able to as it's already the new year and still no voucher! And we still have got a window that doesn't open properly.
If customer service was better, we wouldn't be writing a negative review as it's not actually blythswoods fault if something doesn't arrive on time or if someone is away who they need info from. But what IS their fault is lack of communicating this until the customer asks and asks and practically pesters!
I don't like to have to ask repeatedly for something I was promised.

I asked for an update on the voucher 10 days ago and called twice since then with no response. I understand it's been a busy time of year, but this has been since October.

BLYTHSWOOD HOME Improvements great quality windows and doors at fair prices I got 4 windows and 1door the fitters are the best the workmanship is 5 star you will not be disappointed with this company for your new windows and doors would highly recommend 🙂

We have just had windows and doors installed by Blythswood Home Improvements. Had a few minor issues but the installation was second to none. Great workmanship and the guys, Alan, Ross and Cade were fab. We also had upvc cladding done to the front of our house. The results are amazing. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Fantastic company to deal with. I had 7 windows and my front door replaced from Blythswood home improvements and could not be happier from the initial appointment were they measured up there was no pressure or hard sales I was left with a price at the appointment and made my decision the next day to go ahead and sign up with them.

I had a surveyor Alan out a few days later who took my final measurements and confirmed the styles I agreed at the initial appointment, I was kept informed and up to date at every stage from Jenna in the office I was given an installation date on 2 weeks later (great service), my full order was installed within 1 day !! Alan and his team were amazing, very efficient & extremely tidy I am over the moon with my new windows & doors, I would highly recommend Blythswood to anyone thinking of upgrading their windows.

Friendly staff, great workmanship & very easy to work with !

From first receiving my quote to the finishing of the windows and doors, this company excelled itself in both the professional workmanship and courtesy shown. Despite poor weather over the two days, the installation team were cheerfull and thorough and didn't take a proper break. Their attention to detail was obvious.
They vacuumed the whole house and had cleaned all the windows beautifully as part of the job
I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking to improve their property. It will be this company I will be going to for my next project!

We used Blythwood Home Improvements to replace four windows. Initially, everything went well, and the windows were installed on the agreed date. However, three window frames were damaged. Blythwood agreed to replace the damaged windows but claimed no liability for any damage during replacement, making us wary of potential damage to our new blinds and wallpaper. We then decided to keep the damaged windows and instead have a small bathroom window fitted later in the year.

Repeated attempts to contact Blythwood by phone and email to get the window fitted were unsuccessful. When I finally reached Jenna, she hung up mid-conversation and never responded to further calls or emails. The entire experience has been disappointing and frustrating. We urgently need the new bathroom window to complete other projects, but Blythwood's poor customer service and lack of response have left us in a bind.

From initial sales discussion with Kris with placement of order, through to installation of a 5m x 3m gardenroom by Ross, Deane and Jamie, plasterers and electricians, everything was excellent. The guys turned up every day as planned and carried out a very professional job. I would highly recommend Blythswood Home Improvements.

We wanted to replace all windows and doors in our property which comprised 7 windows, 2 French Doors, a Patio Door and main front and rear doors. After doing some research we contacted a few reputable companies for a quote. Kris from Blythswood won hands down for his professional and relaxed approach during his first visit. There was absolutely no pressure put on us for a sale. Once we had discussed our requirements and he had measured up he calculated the price and then left us to consider it. It was a bonus that Blythswood supply and fit Rehau windows who are considered to be the leading manufacturer of quality windows in the UK. When we gave the go ahead we received a technical visit from Stevie and then Jenna in the office supplied us with all the graphics for our approval. Three weeks later all the work was completed, incredibly over a period of 2 days, minimising the disruption we experienced. The transformation to our home is phenomenal: we opted for anthracite tilt and turn windows together with anthracite composite front and rear doors. In all, an exceptional experience from a company offering a high quality product, using hard working skilled craftsmen and to top it all, at an excellent price.

Garden House, windows and doors

We were looking for a garden house, new windows and doors and after having a few companies in giving quotes Kris from Blythswood home improvements arrived. He was very professional and gave us the best advice. He made the whole process from quotation to completion easy and straight forward. The team Kris sent (Ross and Dean for the garden room and stevie and jay for doors and windows) again were professional and very knowledgeable. I couldn’t recommend Blythswood home improvements enough. Fantastic company! If you need something built just phone them don’t bother with the rest. We have had all our work completed that we initially wanted but have went back to Kris to carry out more work as we cant fault them.
