Love the idea of this - we made our own box so could curate it to include what we wanted. The ordering process was easy and the it was great to be able to indicate a date for delivery. The icons on the page are slightly misleading about the quality of snacks being provided and one of the beers was substituted from pilsner to heineken which unfortunately the recipient does not like.

I ordered a gift from Boston Baskets specifically for a 60th birthday, and I am beyond disappointed. Despite ordering with what should have been plenty of time, the delivery was significantly delayed. A milestone like a 60th birthday only happens once, and because of their logistics failure, the recipient had nothing to open on their actual birthday. Customer service was unhelpful in tracking the delay. I won't be using this service again; they simply cannot be trusted with time-sensitive occasions. I would NOT order and recommend this provider. it feels like I was SCAMMED.

My team at work ordered a basket for our manager whose father had passed away. The basket was supposed to include a flowering plant and food board. This organization sent cut flowers, triscuits, 8 oclock coffee, Wise chips... none of it pictured or itemized on what our team purchased. We reached out and they refuse to correct or refund our money. Terrible product. Terrible customer service.

Truly awful. Forget that they are named Boston Baskets. The products live in a warehouse in Jersey! We ordered a sympathy basket and, aside from it being delivered 2 days late, it was filled with absolute junk. It's like someone stopped at 7-11, spent 20 bucks on some instant coffee, Triscuits, and a bottle of teddy bear honey, and decided to charge us 150 bucks. total rip off. Would NOT recommend.

Boston Baskets have nothing to do with Boston and they failed to make promised delivery dates.
They had 6 days 4 business days to ship, website indicated the 2-day would make it in time, they were not only a day late, but late in the day the next day.
Customer support was the worst, they are either 'ai' or pretend to be stupid (not answering questions), refuse to call or talk on the phone, and pretend to escalate to a 'manager'.
Problems:
- the basket was late, they shipped late (not a shipping company problem)
- Boston basket shipped from New Jersey
- no items in basket were from Boston, Massachusetts or New England. Food items were from Canada, Illinois, Washington State, California, and were not high-end.
This company is a front, they use local names to masquerade like they are local but they are just a front operation. Notice the contact information has no physical address. Mass produced food in baskets that have no relationship to the area, in this case Boston.
Avoid - better to make your own basket.

Ordered from Northern Ireland for my aunts birthday. Made an error with the address which I quickly flagged. Got in touch to be passed from pillar to post, contacted the courier company, who got the basket rerouted back to the warehouse for an updated address label. Yet Boston Baskets have said it's gone, delivered. It's not been delivered. They just STOLE $120 from me! SCAM SCAM SCAM!
I ordered a basket for my sons birthday paid Next Day Delivery and not only did it not get there, it’s gonna be 5 days late and he’s in college he won’t even be there at his college apt he’s leaving on the third to go away. I live far away from there so it’s going to sit out there. Not to mention there’s stuff in it that can’t be left that long. I reached out to CS told them I want my shipping back and they said no because I didn’t spend 100 to qualify for the free shipping. WHAT!! I spent over 120.00 not including the next day shipping. Horrible Company. Do not order from them!!!!!
I wish I had read these reviews before placing an order.
They will not honor the date they claim the GIFT will be delivered, so forget about surprising someone on their birthday.
They will not cancel the order or give a refund. A call center in India operates them, and Trustpilot has fake reviews from people in India to pretend it is a good company.
In the chat, when I mentioned I'd file a dispute, they even had a pre-written message to deal with this situation saying they'd stop any interaction with me.
Scam artists. Stay away.
AVOID. The company is a total disgrace. My order went missing and there's no refund.
I ordered a gift basket, with an upgrade for a specific champagne, for my sister-in-law to be delivered on her birthday. On her birthday, an email was sent to track the package that would be delivered 4 DAYS LATER. When I complained about this I was refunded 20% of the cost of the basket. Because it did not arrive on her birthday she did not partake of the champagne that was in the basket for a few weeks. When she did she sent a picture enjoying the champagne that was sent and IT WAS NOT THE CHAMPAGNE WE HAD SPECIFICALLY CHOSEN AND PAID FOR. We exchanged several emails where the "customer service" person explained that the customer has a limit of 5 days to complain and they have a substitution policy (as mentioned by others) that allows them to substitute cheaper alternatives for the things you ordered.
This site needs to be brought down. What they represent is not what you will get. Cheaper alternatives are places and they take no accountability for their misrepresentations slapping you with the substitution policy. Do not use them . Appauling!
Absolutely appalling. Ordered a gift basket for Christmas and got delivered something where over 90% of the items were substituted with substantially cheaper alternatives. No notification of the changes or option given to cancel order. A complete rip off and frankly this kind of business practice should be illegal. Customer service completely unhelpful and borderline offensive.
All the items were wrong. This is a scam don’t use this site.
We received a gift basket that was supposed to be “wine and cheese”, it came with a wine box marked sparkling that turned out to be a red wine bottle (and not even a particularly nice one?) and then the wooden box that was supposed to be filled with cheese was empty. Clearly this is not a reputable company.
