Rented a flat through BB&J and was dealing with Katie Poxon who's been a massive help before, during and after. Would definitely recommend as she made it all so easy.

We have recently sold our house through Boxall Brown and Jones and have had excellent service, Tracey our negotiator was excellent and kept in regular contact with us during the whole process

I recently moved to a rented property using this estate agent. I am very happy with the service emails and phone calls always got back to me quickly and with relevant information. They were very helpful and understanding. I’m very happy with the service.

I first visited looking to rent as I was new to the area. They were extremely helpful & I ended up buying the property they thought would suit me!

Recently we had a viewing with this company arranged at the specific location and time. No one turned up to do the viewing we waited outside the apartment for 40 minutes. DONT book viewings with this company as they’re unserious and unprofessional. We drove from Leicester to Derby for this viewing and no one from their company was answering the phone or emails. VERY DISAPPOINTING.

We have recently had the misfortune of dealing with Boxall Brown and Jones as the letting agent for a rented property.Whilst renting, any issues were eventually addressed however the real problems began when we left. In summary a totally unfounded and extortionate claim was made for cleaning (carried out by their own company) which we have only recently following an independent finding in our favour resolved.
Utilising our own experience I would strongly advise anyone having the misfortune to rent from this company to avoid the trap of trusting what they say and make notes of every interaction including the taking of photographs when leaving the property!! I'm afraid in our innocense we did neither leading to months of stress and uncertainty!In summary AVOID wherever possible.

Katie really went over and above when our initial hopes didn’t go to plan-even sometimes settling our concerns out of office hours.

Boxall Brown look after the tenant as much as the landlady/landlord. It’s really refreshing to deal with an estate agency that is so respectful and really cares. We can’t thank you all & Katie enough for your help.

Jo and all the team at the Belper branch have been absolutely exceptional, from the first meeting, all the way through until completion, they have always kept me informed, going above and beyond.
Due to an unexpected water leak, Jo was there to support and offer advice on how to make the property the best it could be and in the process managed to secure the full asking price for the property. Highly recommended.

As a previous tenant I was very satisfied with the services I received. I found you all as a whole approachable, polite and considerate.

You were always very prompt and efficient when issues were reported to getting them resolved as quickly as possible.

It was truly a shame to leave the property I rented through yourselves due to needing a larger property. Hoping that the new letting agents can supply the same high standard as you always did.

My experience with Boxall Brown & Jones, particularly with property manager Hannah Teece, was extremely disappointing and frustrating. Throughout my tenancy, I encountered numerous issues with the agency’s management and handling of property matters.

First and foremost, there was a blatant disregard for accurate record-keeping regarding my tenancy start date, which led to misunderstandings and disputes regarding property condition and cleaning charges.

Additionally, Hannah Teece and the agency demonstrated unprofessional behavior and a lack of transparency in their communication. Despite providing thorough evidence to support my case, they continued to insist on unfounded charges and made personal attacks regarding my care for my pets, which was deeply hurtful and unjustified.

However, I am relieved to say that justice prevailed in the end. Thanks to the fair and unbiased adjudication process, the ruling turned in my favor, highlighting the agency’s and Hannah Teece’s unjust practices.

I strongly advise anyone considering renting from Boxall Brown & Jones to proceed with caution, particularly when dealing with Hannah Teece. Their unprofessionalism, lack of transparency, and unfair practices make them a risky choice for tenants. I hope my review serves as a warning to others, and I urge you to explore alternative options for your housing needs.

They just turn up for house inspections unexpectedly and only communicate though email. Their customer service towards tenants in my experience was terrible and they only look out for their landlords. I never received my deposit back and am currently going through a process to try and claim it back however Boxal haven’t helped me at all. Infact quite the opposite. I’m only referring to the Derby branch and Tom halloran especially, never did his job adequately. I left the flat is a better condition than I received it in and spent a lot of money bringing the flat to an expectable living condition(carpets, painting and de-moulding). I disposed of my old fridge and made every effort to be a good tenant. I would not recommend them at all.

No problems at all, Claire Taylor looked after the buying process and kept me informed all the way through ensuring good communication at all times
