I LOVE BOXED
This company is providing a service for me that is necessary during a change in my life when I need the help. The items are extremely fresh and beautiful. Customer service is unmatched and unlike any I have experienced prior to finding Boxed. Everyone who works for the company is respectful and they follow instructions (if you have them) to a tee. I will continue to use the company and the services they provide for as long as necessary. Two requests: add VEGAN items (specifically) and add a substitute option if possible. I THANK BOXED and I am grateful for what you offer.
I rely on delivery services
I rely on delivery services. BOXED is my first on my list for my groceries. I also order from a well known department store that carries all items. As far as fresh fruit and vegetables, if available at BOXED, I will buy it from BOXED. I have purchased fresh gala apples, seasoned rotisserie chicken, different types of cheese, specialty breads, and many more items. I have never been disappointed with either fresh items, precooked, or frozen. You can set what time of day you want your order to be delivered. You are informed what item or items are on the way to be delivered. If an item is not available, you will not be charged. If there is an issue with an item, there is a link you are sent to you inquires and Boxed will quickly answer the issue. Unlike my local well known store that’s solution to the expired, damaged, or rotten item is to bring back to the store for a refund. While explaining to the replacement for a human AI customer service and repeating I want to speak to a human, you finally get a human and a refund. No hassle with BOX. The other box stores that deliver items smashed, leaking, expired, or dented or all of the above. This is one of few online stores that are absolutely my go to store when you have no choice and need food and other items delivered not leaking, dented, smashed, expired, or torn bags and food everywhere in the box. BOXED IS THE BEST!!!
Bulk Ordering without the Hassle
We used Boxed while building out the Polymarket Pop-Up Grocery in NYC, and honestly, they made our lives a lot easier.
If you’ve ever produced a pop-up in New York, you know how chaotic the logistics can get. We were ordering at scale, on tight timelines, with a million moving parts. The ordering process itself was refreshingly simple — fast, intuitive, and built for bulk. No friction, no weird hoops to jump through. Just what we needed, when we needed it.
What really stood out, though, was the customer support. In live event production, plans change. Quantities shift. Delivery windows matter. Every time we reached out, their team was responsive, calm, and solution-oriented. It never felt like we were just another order number — they understood urgency and worked with us.
And the shipments? On time, well-packed, and flexible enough to work within the realities of NYC delivery logistics. That alone is worth five stars.
For anyone producing an activation, pop-up, or large-scale experience who needs reliable bulk ordering with real support behind it, we’d absolutely use Boxed again.
Spent 25 on gems
Spent 25 on gems. Got some no name card sent to inventory. Got back on hour later and my card was gone and had a voucher for 1289 here I paid 2500 gems for the trash card.and you can buy shit for less than 2500.so spent my money they took my card for this voucher that I have to spend more money to make it enough to get something.. unbelievable never again!! AVOID,AVOID,AVOID!!!

My order arrived in three separate deliveries, but the Boxed team stayed communicative the whole time and made the process easy. Overall, I was happy with my purchase and the experience. I’d definitely recommend this service to a friend and will for sure be using it again.

It was a week before Christmas and I…
It was a week before Christmas and I needed a gift. The person I was giving you two likes to cook so I got the kinder gift pack. I was sure that they wouldn’t be able to have it delivered before Christmas with it being just a week away and me being in Utah, but to my surprise, I got it within four days. I’m so happy with this company.
They are good.....if they get it right..
Good service.....if they get it right. Comes fast, easy. If they make a mistake? They are the complete opposite and are awful. You place an order for the same day or next and there it is. They made a mistake and sent me the wrong item, took them 3 days to respond to my email, to say a replacement is coming, that was 3 days ago no ETA, no email, zip.
*UPDATE* 12/23/25
The replacement arrived on 12/12. Bumped my review from 2 to 3 because in the end they corrected the issue. Still, the whole reason I used them was for their same day/next day delivery promise and instead it took 7+ days. Had they corrected this the next day the way their delivery arrived, or at the very least communicated properly, this would have been a five-star review
Wasted my time and energy
My order status remained as “ order placed” for over a week with no shipping or status update. I emailed customer service twice over this time and got no update. Eventually they emailed me to tell me that the item I ordered was “ out of stock” and not able to be delivered.

Just got my kcups delivered everything went smooth, prices have improved a bit compared to before and low minimum for shipping. Will use them again.
Bait and switch on fast delivery
I ordered laundry detergent via Boxed, which they said they could deliver the next day. I was out and needed it immediately. Later, after I completed the order, I was messaged that they couldn't fulfill it next day and it would be on their regular schedule. I tried to find a way to cancel it, but couldn't. I also used in-app messaging to ask for the order to be cancelled, and never received a reply. I will not be using their service again.
Received Wrong Items
Ordered 2 Boxes of Kirkland Wipes. Received 2 boxes of Cottonelle Wipes. Seriously?!?!
Great new concept
Boxed.com has a really cool new concept — they’re still working out a few kinks, but I love the direction they’re going. The customer service has been excellent, especially Jonathan, who was super helpful and patient. It’s refreshing to deal with a company that truly cares about their customers!
Boxed is nothing more than technology built on top of the gig economy
I first used Boxed a few years ago, and it was a great big box delivery service. I made a few orders and had absolutely no issues. I recently started ordering from them again and….it has been a weird experience. For my first delivery, I didn’t receive one of my items and reached out to customer service with no response after about a month and a half now. I received everything in my second delivery, but included in the box was a receipt from that day from Sam’s Club detailing three of the four items I bought. I was confused because I thought my items were coming from a Boxed warehouse. Turns out, someone went to Sam’s Club that morning, bought three of the items I ordered there (at lower prices), and then delivered them to me. All of this was done via Instacart as stated on the receipt. It seems that Boxed is basically just technology (the website with supposed inventory where people make and pay for their orders) built on top of the gig economy. No wonder I haven’t heard from customer service - they probably don’t even have a customer service department.
Something's got to give
I used Boxed.com for years and loved it. I was very excited about the acquisition and relaunch in early 2025 and jumped back in.
My first order was extraordinarily late; I received it over two months after ordering despite being told of a delivery in about 10 days on checkout. That's okay, I thought. I wrote customer service during that two-month wait and got crickets, so I was pleasantly suprised and relieved when the items eventually came. (Though, I'd already purchased elsewhere at that point and no longer had space to store them.) Despite all this I thought: maybe it's just hiccups as they get everything sorted, and maybe more people ordered than they anticipated because of the superbowl. I'll give em another go.
My second order was fine, though I found it odd and not economical that the items came almost one-by-one from Instacart.
My third order was the same experience as the first, making this company officially out of chances. The delayed delivery and operational problems of receiving items months after their predicted delivery date. But the complete and total lack of communication of almost any sort is just preposterous. I attempted to write customer service three times during this latest period and heard absolutely nothing back, again. Even a canned response or AI chatbot would be better than nothing. I, and I'm sure many others, don't have extra money lying around to gamble on groceries arriving or not, and a couple hundred dollars floating in limbo for months as you wonder "will I ever receive my toilet paper" just isn't realistic in this economy.

I had no problems when they were opened years ago.
Since they reopened I've order three times, two of which were not shipped out two weeks later. I cancelled one and am currently waiting for the last order. They lost my business and would not suggest buying from them.
