Easy to order, goid communication about order, speedy delivery, efficient and helpful driver

I live locally to the store so did click and collect as I needed some prices of timber to progress a job. The ordering process was fine however I arrived at the store about 40 minutes after ordering and no one had looked at it and the first response was come back then fortunately the person who apparently deals with Click and Collect returned to the desk and dealt with it immediately. I had a similar experience a week before when I ordered something at 9pm and went to collect at 8am the next day. The staff are fine and helpful but the process needs to be examined. My suggestion is, look at how Screwfix manage Click and Collect. At the moment it's easier and quicker to just turn up at the store when you want materials from the yard. Not sure how slick it is for items in the shop, maybe it's better.

Absolutely perfect I ordered around 9am and shortly after lunchtime I got my delivery.

Ordered on line early afternoon. Waited...Waited... Waited. 4.10pm, phoned Sherborne branch to ask why not been contacted for collection. Was told branch short staffed and my order hadn't been processed. Not impressed as you shut at 4.30pm.
Went to collect next next morning. Items still not ready. Went to collection bay to find that the 15mm beading I'd paid for, wasn't in shock even though was showing it was! Had to drive to Yeovil branch to collect beading! So, in a nutshell, short staffed, no-one to deal with online orders, then a product I'd ordered and paid for, wasn't in stock. Not amused and wasted my time!

Service was great and when I had a problem, the staff at my local store replaced the bad bit of wood the following day.

Kept up to date on the delivery, arrived on time, went above and beyond to get my gravel to where it was needed brilliant service.

The click and collect option works very well indeed. Following a simple selection, order and payment process buying any items on the company website couldn't be easier. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Excellent service and ultra fast delivery. I put my order in early morning and it was delivered by lunchtime. My only complaint is that the timber i had delivered was very bent and not straight and when your paying a lot of money for timber i expect the staff to take more care on choosing timber for the customers.

Online order for a mini greenhouse. The cheapest retailer with the quickest delivery.

Great prices, with free local delivery made Bradfords a preferred choice. There was no problem amending the order at a late stage, without affecting the delivery date.

Following on from my last input, where gravel boards at Bradfords were £8.18 each and other suppliers were charging £3.14 each. I was shocked at the response from a large gentleman working at the Sherborne branch. He said it is what it is, and that other supplies buy in bulk and that because they only had two boards left in the yard, I had to pay the higher price. I said to him it doesn't matter how many you buy the price was too expensive. Bradfords buy in bulk but when you get to the end of a pallet load you may have a few left over, why was the price so dear? It wasn't my fault there was only two left. Many trades are turning their backs on Bradfords because their greed. Bradford 1 gravel board £8.18 Fence company £3.14. I needed 120 boards for a bridge project. Do I pay Bradfords £976.80 or Fence company £376.80. I think you all know the answer.

Initially no communication regarding delivery. Then a phone call confirmed a morning delivery. Had to call twice in the afternoon to follow up as delivery had not been received. A manager confirmed a delivery slot at 3pm, as had already changed schedule for a morning delivery slot. Delivery arrived at 1420, whilst I was in another appointment.

Ordered 3 sheets of 12mm marine ply required for the weekend. 1 was a different weight, colour and lamination compared to the other 2. It resembled hardwood ply rather than marine ply. Bradfords were unhelpful on the phone insisting it was marine ply. Eventually took it the Yeovil branch whom agreed it was different and changed it for marine plywood.

Poor communication and customer service. A shame but will not be supporting this local business again.
