How refreshing to find a place that offered valuable, impartial advice and wasn't all about making money off me! I was in survival mode, but Brave starts helped me find a path to really thriving. Through my group I've met people from all types of background, from lawyers to artists, and it's been wonderful connecting with likeminded people. I feel a bit more positive about my next steps now. Thanks to Alan for all your insights and keeping our group on track!

Brave Starts is a fantastic company. Lucy is very generous with her time, insights and expertise and willing to share her knowledge to bolster Brave Starts members as they enter the exciting but choppy waters of changing lanes post 50. I had a call with Lucy as I wanted to verbalise and explore some thoughts I had been having about career and direction.

I joined Bravestart this week. Lucy has been excellent in her communication and support since our first interaction. Today I attended two sessions both different but equally informative. I really feel that this network and it's members will offer me the opportunity to move forward at the right pace to change my career direction and/or help me create a plan specifically for me. All this under the excellent support of the highly professional and knowledgeable Bravestart team led by Lucy.

Another really relevant and useful workshop today delivered by Lucy Standing. For me it reminded me about many aspects of my job search that I am actually doing, some that I've just started to do and also some important context to keep me me focused and sane.

The areas they help with are diverse and often seed ideas you never thought about. Open and approachable they deliver vast networking opportunities as well as practical support. Having been part of their entrepreneur network and business owner training course I keep an eye out for events that link to my 'portfolio' approach to work and have just been rejuvenated by the excellent 'Your age is your asset workshop' with great breakout discussion and fact-based evidence leading to practical application just when I needed it.

A genuinely committed and professional group, providing support and practical careers advice for mid-career changes. You will be encouraged but also challenged, and the advice isn't 'psychobabble' but backed up by solid research.

This was a great opportunity to connect with like minded people in their 50's looking for support and inspiration to weigh up career options. Lucy and Alan's warm and structured approach to coaching was most conducive to opening up meaningful conversations amongst us. There is a great demand for this out there and thank you very much both for your important work in breaking down social taboos about older workers.

I met Lucy two years ago, with the idea of starting my own business. At this moment of my life, I had decided that it was enough of being an employee at a 9-5 job and pursue a career in my own make up brand. Though feeling discouraged, Lucy stepped in to support me and referenced me to other entrepreneurs. To this day, she still finds a way to check up on me with updates regarding my business. Brave Starts is an amazing space to hook up with some experts and others you didn’t previously know, in order to learn, share ideas and consider ideas you perhaps hadn’t thought of before.
It’s a fully supportive community where you won’t be judged, but will certainly be encouraged

Brave Starts provides a very professional, inclusive and motivational environment for professionals who are at career crossroads. This program really helps to understand what is that we should start, stop or continue in order to make a career change. It gives a real kick to start exploring new options, talk to people with experience in areas of interest and expand professional network. I really liked the exercises and also meetings with other participants of the group which was very inspiring and also unlocked the doors to new opportunities.

Brave Starts offers the support and training older workers need to help them take the next step in their career.

When I lost my job through a reorganisation, I joined Brave Starts to help me think through where I was at and what I wanted to do next. Their Work Audit and Self Coaching Tool was a great way to see what is important to me in my job. I also joined one of the cohorts which are small groups of people in similar situations. We met every month, shared experiences and planned next steps, holding each other accountable for our actions. Brave Starts also offers opportunities to shadow people working in a field you may be interested in as well as coaching to help you build up your CV and LinkedIn presence.

I am very grateful for all the help and assistance they provided and now have my dream job.
