The Ecstasy I Found at BCJ
British College of Journalism offered me a world class learning experience. The teaching was professional and skillful. When I waa studying the course, I felt readily prepared for the upcoming challenges in the industry.
My connection with the institution's administration was immense. All the staff I kept in touch with, served me with real purpose. Each staff made me feel at home and they became good virtual friends. I was happily satisfied with how the administration attended to my concerns and it's important to acknowledge their sense of understanding which is admirable.
British College of Journalism is more than a learning facility. It is a considerable place to make ambitious writers' dream come true.

Fantastic course
Great course. Really enjoyed it and learnt a lot. The modules are set out well and it’s very informative. I got a lot from it and am looking forward to putting what I’ve learnt to good use. I love that it helps you to write a great article and gets you to think about what would work when. It helps you to write a brief, write an intro email to a magazine and encourages you to start straight away! Judy Yorke is a great tutor. The feedback she gave helped me to improve and develop. I highly recommend this course.

Great course
Great course, highly recommend it. I learnt a lot and the course gave me the knowledge and confidence to take writing seriously.
I would have preferred a real-time method of getting feedback, either by live chat or zoom. Although you could send in questions I felt this to be a bit disconnected and slow.
Otherwise, I really enjoyed the course and definitely think it's worth doing if you enjoy writing and want to add journalism to your existing skill set.

Write more compelling marketing copy
This course is relevant for anyone who needs to write well in a digital environment as well as for traditional media channels. I work in marketing and wanted to brush-up on my copywriting skills. In an incredibly cluttered media landscape, your message (blog or news story) can easily get lost in the noise.
There are lots of hints, tips & guidance to attract and keep an audience’s attention. Oh, and there is no such thing as writer’s block! At least if you think you’ve had it, this course will quickly help you overcome it.
I previously worked for a successful international journalist & found the advice on pitching to editors and structuring articles creatively, relevant to current industry standards & practice.
If I had one suggestion on how to improve the course, it would be to tailor more tutorials towards what students want to specialise in, with less emphasis on celebrity and mainstream media articles. Although there is ample opportunity to write about subjects you’re interested in.

This course has been exactly what I…
This course has been exactly what I hoped for, and more. It has given me the confidence, knowledge and skills to follow my passion and enable me to start to transition to a second career in writing. You're able to work at your own pace and I've been able to fit my studies in around my current job.
The course content is so thorough, the useful practical tips you gain are invaluable. But probably the biggest benefit has been the constructive and honest feedback I had for my assignments from my tutor, Judy, that has been so helpful. She was very knowledgeable and experienced in the writing niche I was interested in, she's been fantastic.
The business side of the course is also covered well, which although that side of things was more familiar to me, for someone new to freelancing it would cover everything you need to think about.
I would totally recommend this course.

I loved this course
I loved this course. I’ve been thinking of doing a journalism course for a while now and I’m so glad I chose this one. Very cost effective as you can pay in instalment, and the tutorial booklets are super clear. Also the feedback is great. I definitely feel more confident in my journalistic writing abilities.

Great course!
I was really hesitant at first to enrol in the course because I feel like it's a bit on the expensive side compared to other online writing course available online. Good thing though that I pushed through!
Firstly, the team is really responsive to all my queries. Juggling this course with a full-time job and other home commitments is not a walk in park.
All the modules were sent on the agreed schedule, and the assignments were checked & reviewed timely as well.
Additionally, the tutor is very knowledgeable and knows her craft. Her expertise is really helpful in improving my work.
I'm halfway the course already and looking forward finishing it. :)

An excellent course
I am really enjoying the Professional Freelance Journalism Course and learning a great deal about what is looked for in writing freelance articles. The tutorials are really excellent and packed with ideas, information, advice and tips. The feedback from assignments is encouraging and positive in critically analysing what has worked, what could be improved and how to progress. This is a second to none course which provides everything you need to know to be able to write good freelance articles confidently. This course also crucially prepares you to get your articles published in making sure you know who your article is for, how to write a brief and how to approach editors. Everything you need to begin freelance writing is covered in this course. I cannot praise it highly enough. I wholeheartedly recommend it for anyone who wants to write freelance.

I always wanted to be a journalist
I always wanted to be a journalist, however, life has demanded a different path from me. I was struggled to do a job that I hated every hour of my day. Then a friend came to me and gave me an indication about the British College of Journalism. I did not have the money to pay, even been a really good and fair price. Then I got a gift from my wife. She paid for my enrolment and there I was. Ready to finally, after 41 years of waiting, discover what it would look like in the journalist world. Guess what? Pandemic! I was very sick, lost a few friends, but thanks to the British College of Journalism and all its amazing team, today, I am one step closer to becoming a freelance journalist. Thank you all of you for your help, for your professionalism, and for truly caring about helping people to reach their dreams. If I could my review here would have 10 stars. Thank you.
