Aside from the spill proof lid this 35 oz MUV Coffee Mug I purchased is complete garbage. I'm an avid coffee drinker and I like my coffee hot. This mug doesn't have a snowballs chance of keeping it that way.
I filled the mug. Waited about 15 minutes then took a sip of the coffee. Still hot. So with my everyday trusty 20 oz cheap mug also filled I started my testing of the Brumate 35 oz mug.
45 minutes later I take another sip of the coffee from the Brumate and notice that even with an airtight lid the liquid (coffee) had cooled. So, just an hour into testing the claims of the company that it will keep liquids HOT for 6 hours and COLD for 24+ was quickly fading.
So, thirty minutes later I checked it again. The liquid was warm. Not a very good start for a mug that the company clearly states will stay hot for 6 Hours when there is no way this liquid was going to be anywhere close to hot even in 4 hours let alone 6.
I decided to go back home and start over. I figured I'd help it out before pouring coffee into it. So, I brought some water to a slight boil then poured it into the mug. I then locked the airtight lid and left it for 30 minutes.
At the 30 minute mark I opened the lid, which was actually very warm to the touch telling me this could be a good sign. I emptied the mug of the water and poured in some very hot coffee and closed the airtight lid. I performed this process with the thought that the hot water would heat up the inside for the coffee.
This time around I will check the status of the coffee, in the mug, every hour.
Hour 1. The first couple (sometimes 3 to 4 sips when I say couple) of sips of coffee are warm but the next couple of sips are hot. I closed the airtight lid and waited another hour.
Hour 2. The first couple of sips were cool then the next couple were warm with the next few sips kind of hot. I could easy tell that the temperature was dropping.
Hour 3. Cold coffee first couple of sips the rest of it was cool to slightly warm. I knew at this point that the preheating of the mug with hot water didn't work and that by hour 4 this coffee was going to be cold.
After taxes my $50 (after taxes) 35 oz Dark Aura Brumate Mug could not do what the Brumate company claims it can do. I also purchased the 25 oz Primrose for a friend who stated that hers didn't perform well at all.
I asked her how long the liquid stayed hot and she said she did not know as she used hers for iced tea and that it wouldn't stay cold all day.
So, I tested the cold claim as well. I like unsweetened grapefruit juice. I placed the mug in my refrigerator and the grapefruit juice in the freezer. When the grapefruit juice started to get that slightly frozen slushy look, I poured it into my 35 oz Brumate mug.
I'll keep this short but the grapefruit juice was nowhere close to cold or even cool 5 hours later.
So, to sum this up, it cost me almost a $100 for two mugs that can't even come close to the claims the company says they can.
An $8 - 20 oz travel mug from Walmart literally keeps my coffee hotter longer. Yeah, it's not spill proof but ask yourself this, how often do you spill your drinks anyway?
Do yourself a huge favor and read up on and check out multiple revies on a product before making a purchase.
As for Brumate I can say that I will never purchase another product from them.

So surprised by the low rating on here. I'm a water bottle junky and I've never been let down by their water bottles. The new collapsable straw cover is insanely good. I haven't had a single issues with leaks from my newest water bottle or any before. I personally love them and will always recommend!
Rusting Tops in a drinking bottle..
I own three BrÃŒMate bottles and two of them have developed rust where the lid snaps into the top. The third one is starting to rust in the same spot now. These are used as normal drinking bottles and get washed several times a week, so this should not be happening at all.
What bothers me is that this is not just one bad bottle. All three are doing the same thing in the same location, which makes it seem like a problem with the material or coating they use. This is a drinking container and it should not be rusting anywhere near the lid.
I contacted customer service and was told the warranty only covers 60 days and my only option was to buy a discounted replacement. I am not going to pay again for another bottle if the ones I already have are rusting from normal use.
For the price, I expected much better quality. Very frustrating experience and not what I expected from this brand.

Won't honor warranty!
One of Brumate's big selling points is their 'limited lifetime warranty'. But upon using the warranty for a defect, I was told that they wouldn't send me a replacement part. I've put in for 4 replacement Leap lids due to the lid cracking in the exact same manner repeatedly ( a clear defect since it's cracking from inserting the straw as intended), and 3 of them were honored. It seems they no longer wish to honor their end of the bargain. No part of the warranty says there is a limit to how many replacement parts, and, in fact, calls out covering 'defects in craftsmanship'.
Don't buy from them if you want a product that lasts or a company that honors their word.
Horrible experience with product and company
Update: Brumate has gone above and beyond in their response to my issue. They have been so helpful and have done everything possible to help restore my faith in them! And they have. Thank you, Brumate for fixing this!!
The Brumate Resa product I just received is full of vomit or something! And I can not get ahold of customer service! Fortunately Amazon is backing me up. My advice is do not buy anything that says Brumate. 0 stars for both product quality and customer service!
40oz Era
I received the 40oz Era for Christmas and I can't say enough great things about it. No leaking, vibrant color and solid. I have dropped it 3 times and no chipping and breaking. I reached out to the company for something on another item with a fast response and the customer service rep was very friendly. Not sure what all the negativity is about but I would reconsider them. I am a Brumate girl for as long as they are around.

Website says flawless customer service, but it's a lie
We liked their mugs which is why we ordered some for Christmas gifts but the packaging does not label what's in the box so if you order multiple you'll just have to guess what's inside. Accidentally gifted a mug meant for my toddler, reached out to customer service, they said too bad.
Ordered 48 items on November 24th
Ordered 48 items on November 24th. Itâs December 18th today. I have emailed brumate several times and today they finally responded that partial order will ship today but 16 of the items wonât ship out until sometime next month. So much for me getting these Christmas gifts to my customers in a timely manner. My recommendation is to never buy brumate products again.
Poor quality items and warrranty misleading
Paid $54 Australian for a travel mug. The plastic part that holds the straw failed after less than 3 months. I contacted them requesting a new lid part since they brag about their "lifetime warranty" on the website. Their response? Their "lifetime warranty" is only good for 60 days and they want me to buy a replacement part. No thanks! This is the worst product quality and warranty I have ever seen.

Lids are garbage
You know the company is a great company to work with when you have an issue most of the time the product is a good product. However the lids are garbage. I have 2 40 Oz cups and each one of them. The lid breaks where you hook the straw in. They need to do something better with that. It's a piece of garbage and then when you go to buy a new lid they want $15. Sorry $14.95 plus $10 in shipping and Hannah. So the lid is actually $24.95 for something. This should not have broke the first place. Now I realize my cup is 6 months old. I realize that it's made out of plastic on the lid, but good night people come on. Let's get something fixed and make it right
I have bought Brumate for years
I have bought Brumate for years, I even caught one on fire by accident and it still keeps my drinks cold. I have 12 cups none of my cups has ever leaked not one of them. They keep the drinks cold and hot. Iâve dropped some of them multiple times and while some has dented it still doesnât leak. These cups are FREAKING amazing. Customer service is their only downfall, itâs entirely email. There is no way to speak to a real person. But they did replace my lid immediately.

They advertise their products as leakproof. All products I have from them leaks badly. I tried to work things out with their customer service directly before posting my honest review. The last email I got from them literally says that some leaks are to be expected. How can they advertise 100% leakproof then tell me some leaks are to be expected?! I wish I could give zero stars.

Probably worst company with worst customer service out there. It sucks because they do make high quality Mugs that I did order before until paint started to chip away. I did leave a review and they reached out to me and sent me new one despite being way out of warranty which was cool as beans.
Customer service: It's horrible. Their response time is way off and way too long and they will send you survey after without fixing my problems asking to give them how they did which is a joke!
I reached out to Brumate after ordering new Mug and asked them to remove signature requirements and they shipped it anyway and said they are sorry that they got back to me so late. It's telling me that customer service isn't very active to me.
Despite having this issue.. I did order new Mug. Brumate, please do better job at customer service... this is only way to lose tons of customers.
Horrible customer service
Horrible customer service. Seriously some of the worst Iâve ever come in contact with. Itâs impossible to get a hold of an actual human. Everything is a bit/AI response. I bought two expensive childrenâs cups and they were leaking/broken within two months. Trash cups. They say things like â5 year warrantyâ with absolutely no intention of actually upholding any kind of warranty.

Brumate processing of their products take so long. I ordered my products on August 22, 2025 and paid about $30 to expedite it. it was not shipped until September 8, 2025. They created a shipping label on September 5 but didnât provide the package to UPS until September 8, 3 days later considering it took them 17 days to ship the item. Tracking states my order will be delivered by September 10, hopefully thereâs no shipping delays. But how does a company take 20 days to get a product to their customers. Horrible shipping and processing times. Donât pay to expedite your order, the company doesnât care about expediting your order. I also emailed them about my issue and request status, their response says to wait for an email from them when my products are shipped. Horrible customer service too.
