I purchased a chair and while it ended up not fitting my needs, dealing with BTOD was very easy and excellent service all around. Their packaging of the chair is excellent, the return policy is very generous, and their instructions for their returns are easy to follow and they're very understanding. I highly recommended going through them first if they have the item you need as you can try without worries due to their return policy. Honest, great service, good pricing, and excellent communication.

I ended up returning my leap v2 because the chair itself wasn’t for me. However, it came quickly and in perfect condition. The return process couldn’t have been easier as customer service was quick to respond with a label, instructions for scheduling a FedEx pickup, and a video on how to disassemble and box up the chair.

The quality of the products is fantastic, but more fantastic is the quality of the customer support. You're not just buying a chair, you're buying the piece of mind that if anything goes wrong with the chair it will be fixed quickly and easily without any hassle or stress.

Customer Service is top notch. They're fast to respond to my inquiries prior to the purchase. They also provide great referral for the headrest (Atlas headrest). Reputable companies tend to refer/recognize other reputable companies.

Everything else is straightforward and to the point. You get tracking information, clear/easy to follow assembly instructions and the chair was delivered neatly packaged and exactly as advertised. Heck, for refurbished chair they look brand new.

I also left them instructions to leave the casters uninstalled (I had originally planned to buy my own) and they did as noted. Overall extremely satisfied.

Item purchased: Outlet Steelcase Lamia (Leap frame + Amia seat)

I had a slight problem with a chair that I ordered. It was nothing technical; the chair's condition was great, it did had some scratch and rusty parts inside the chair frame(nothing significant and it's not even visible) but it wasn't really noticeable. Considering that the chair is "refurbished", it is incredibly in great shape that I'd believe this is a new chair that had a bad delivery process.
Anyway, I had some trivial issue with the product, so I called the customer service today. Immediately they gave me a solution to my problem. Their solution was practical and very simple, and thanks to them I don't have go through any hassle.
Honestly, I'm a broke college student and spending nearly 500 dollars on a chair seemed "too much." I was considering cheaper option like facebook marketplace or madison seating, but going through situation like today, I'm glad that I decided to go with BTOD. Thank you BTOD!
Great company, great product, and great customer service.

Start to finish and even after delivery, AMAZING experience and company!!! First off, the refurbished Steelcase Leap V2 chair is AWESOME!!! You don't realize the difference between a real good office chair and a cheap generic office chair until you actually sit in one. Wow, what a difference and the actual support is night and day. My old office chair offered absolutely NO back support. I can't even look at my old chair. BTOD is a superb company to work with and their customer service is exemplary to say the least. You can shop with confidence and know that they will take care of you, even after you receive your chair.

My standing Vert Desk has been amazing since I bought it in 2018. I recently contacted them (7 years later) with a problem, and they immediately shipped a replacement part at no cost. Amazing company, amazing support.

BTOD has a solid selection of office furniture, and my order arrived on time and as described. The buying process was straightforward and easy.

Even though I made a mistake and missed a discount on my order, Leslie in customer support fixed it for me quickly and easily. The whole process, from ordering to resolving the issue, was seamless!

I was needing a new chair and after several days of searching and watching videos, I came across BTOD. Their videos testing different chairs are very good and informative. Prices of chairs these days are very high for a good one but the refurbished Steelcase I got from BTOD looks and feels new for a lot less. I'm very impressed and will tell everyone I know. Thank you guys!

Not reliable, promotes the LeanRite Chair that is a scam, with no support

Everything was perfect and the chair is exceptional!

I ordered a refurbished Steelcase Leap V2 from BTOD about a year ago. Much like others the fast lead time for delivery was the selling point for me. Also like others have stated, the chair arrived weeks after the estimated lead time.

When it arrived, the chair itself looked ok. There were some mis-perfections on the plastic but overall considering I paid half of what a new chair would cost it was acceptable. It came with a new gas cylinder. The seat and back were also newly upholstered although the fabric was a little loose on the backrest. The armrests looked new but the first time I used the chair I noticed a black mark on my elbow. After about 10 minutes of scrubbing the arms I was finally able to clean whatever (black paint?) was on the armrests off. To be honest I have no idea what was on the armrests but whatever it was turned the microfiber towel I used black. After that they were fine albeit slightly less shiny than before.

My biggest issue with the chair however had to do with the seat itself. After about 10 minutes sitting in the chair I started having tailbone pain. I sat for about a week before the pain was unbearable. I got in touch with BTOD and they told me to watch their videos on how to "properly" adjust my chair. I pointed out that the foam on the seat seemed very thin to which they told me "That's how they all look." I watched their video, I made some adjustments but was still getting tailbone pain. Finally after about another month of pain I ended up just pulling out my old chair and the Leap sat in the corner of my office.

Nine months later with the chair collecting dust I decided to just order a new seat and backrest from Crandall Office Furniture since they offer brand new pad replacements for the Leap V2.

When I pulled off the old seat cushion I noticed what looked like sand all over the chair and mechanism. What I thought was sand was actually the foam that had broken down and was falling apart. I stuck my finger through one of the holes under the pad and my finger went right through the foam. I literally used this chair for about 6 weeks before just pushing it to the side in a temperature controlled office that never gets above 70 degrees.

There's no way when they re-upholstered the seat they didn't notice how deteriorated the foam was. It's very disappointing.

I'm happy to say that now with the new much thicker seat and backrest from Crandall Office the chair is fully sorted and quite comfortable. I unfortunately had to pay an extra $300 on top of what the chair cost me originally but lesson learned I suppose.

As a side note in BTOD's defense. I didn't get in touch with them further to see if they could rectify the issue with the seat cushion. By the time I got around to it I just didn't want to risk getting another used seat cushion so I went the route of a new cushion from Crandall.

To anyone that reads this review just spend the extra $100 +/- and order from a place like Crandall Office. I have ordered multiple chairs in the past from them and they have always been exactly as advertised.

Fake review? Why would I go into such a long explanation of the issue I had for a fake review? Just because someone shares an experience with your competitor doesn't mean they're writing a review on their behalf. As far as recommending them as an alternative to your company I stand by that. I have never had an issue with a chair from their company. I have with yours.

As stated I needed a new chair. Your company offered a quicker lead time than Crandall. Which you didn't meet anyway. The chair arrived weeks after the stated lead time.

The reason I brought up Crandall in the first place is because as stated I ordered replacement seat and back cushions from them. Something your company doesn't offer. I was also past your stated 30 day return window so what would have been the point of even contacting you with the issue.

As for the foam it was absolutely breaking down. I saw no indication that there was any additional foam added. What could be seen through the holes was old and yellowed and as stated falling apart.

Considering your hostile and frankly unprofessional response, I prefer to remain anonymous to your company. So I will not be providing you with my personal information that you have requested. If Trustpilot wants proof of my order including my order number I'll gladly share it with them to prove that I'm a "Genuine" customer.

Had my issue been addressed in the beginning instead of essentially being told to "watch a video" I wouldn't have had to write this review in the first place.

I don't work for Crandall Office nor am I writing a review on their behalf. I have only been a customer of theirs. I'm pretty sure they do just fine without needing people to write "fake" reviews for them.

BTOD's refurbed SteelCase Lamia is hands down the most supportive, feature rich, extremely adjustable office chair I've had the pleasure to try. I've been using office chairs for over 30 years since I am in the IT field which requires hours and hours of sitting in front of a computer screen. I used my personal funds to buy this Lamia chair for my home use when working from home, gaming, surfing the web, etc.

Currently, I have a SecretLabs Titan Evo XL at my work office and for the last year have hated it so much...and I mean so much it has wreaked havoc on my back, shoulders and neck that I'm replacing it with a BTOD refurbed SteelCase Lamia with my personal funds. (Yes, I am buying two office chairs out of my own pocket.)

Now don't get me wrong, the Lamia is a fantastic chair, but the best chair is only the best chair you have ever tried. And remember these are refurbed chairs, so they have some use indications, but BTOD does an extremely great thorough job of only selecting the best of the best used chairs to start their refurb process with and inspecting every single part, even to the screw, bolt, nut, etc.

BTOD is top notch, American company and am so blessed to have found them.

I would highly recommend the BTOD refurbed SteelCase Lamia. If nothing else at least give it a try as you can return it on their (BTOD) dime with FREE RETURNS. What do you have to lose besides a little time?

Made a purchase for a very good price with an excellent warranty and then found out the item purchased was no longer needed. Worked with Jackie over the phone and email and she was extremely polite, prompt, and helpful. Will definitely be back for future purchases.

I purchased a BTOD-reconditioned Steelcase Leap V2 to replace an ancient office chair in my home. The assembly was easy and chair seemed to be clean.

After assembly, the user almost immediately noticed that the even though the armrests were set to their highest position, one armrest was low enough to clear under the desk while the other was not.

I contacted BTOD about this issue the day after receiving the chair and received the following:

"With the adjustability of the arms, and the structure of the chair, each side may not be symmetrical. My suggestion would be to lower the arm slightly to where they feel more comfortable for you."

The problem being that the lower armrest is unable to reach the height that is comfortable for the user.

Thoroughly disappointed with my experience w/ BTOD's level of support. The chair is clean, though. Hard to tell that it was reconditioned, so I will give the product a star for that.

These guys are legit company. They're service was top tier. The chair that I got was used, and even though it wasn't "refurbished" it was still an amazing condition.

It took me a few weeks to get used to an ergonomic chair, but it's much better for your body. However, before buying an ergonomic chair, also make sure that your desk is either adjustable or it goes down low enough so that you can have your feet firmly planted to the floor or else you may need a foot mat which can get a little bit uncomfortable.

These guys have great service. I work for a small company, and these guys seem just as professional as the members that I work with. And the people I know are top notch!

Bought a used leap v2, and delivery was fast, the experience was wonderful and the insane savings vs a brand new one is an absolute steal! So much better than my previous Secret Lab chair. I watched alot of reviews to ensure I got a consistently high reviewed ergonomic all day chair as I work from home as a software developer.

I bought the Ergohuman XTREME Mesh chair with a headrest. I’ve only had it for about 4 weeks so far but it’s really improved my time at my desk by miles. I am 5’7 210 and this chair fits me well. I haven’t put the head rest on yet but my back is supported well and I enjoy the adjustable tensioner for the lumbar support. I did have a small adjustment period when I first started using it (my back was a little sore) for a week but everything has settled now. Whenever I sit in the chair it feels like a soft but stable supportive hug. The mesh is soft as well as the arm rest. The arm cushions are a really nice quality. The mesh takes the pressure off of my tail bone compared to othered cushioned seats which feels really nice to me. I enjoy the slim design and it was easy to put to together. The wheels roll nice over my carpet and they are quiet. The controls are sleek as well and not bulky. I hope this chair lasts for a while as the 800 price was steep for me but I was willing to pay for comfort so I can enjoy my gaming. I would give it 5 stars but I haven’t had it long enough for that. This chair had zero reviews but I found the fact that it reclined back well and the warranty were enough for me to purchase. It is a nice chair.
