. I placed an order with a value of over £2000 with Greg on the 27th March, which was for a number of Ludlow Plus roofing tiles, batten, and other roofing goods. I placed this order well in advance as works was due to start on Tuesday 7th April. Greg informed me that the tiles we're a speciality tile and would take some time to come in, however as I was placing the order well in advance, he assured me that this would not be an issue at all, and delivery was booked in for first thing Tuesday 7th April.

I have then called on Thursday 2nd of April to hopefully budge the delivery time forward an hour as the scaffold was delayed and due to go up first thing Tuesday. When I called, the person on the phone said there was no log at all of my order, which had me worried. He said he would put me on hold and speak to GREG, who I placed the order with.

After five minutes on hold, Greg then came onto the phone and said that the tiles we're now delayed and would be dropped off "sometime on Thursday" with absolutely no empathy or apology for the logistical nightmare this had now caused. Obviously frustrated with this development, I asked when I would have been let known about this oversight, as we would be sat waiting for the delivery on Tuesday which was obviously never going to come.

Greg then informed me that there would have been no update, or phone call to let me know about this oversight, and we would have been left with no tiles, and labour costs for men on site that could not carry works out, as the order was never officially placed. If I hadn't have called to adjust the delivery time, this is the position we would have been left in. After frustratingly, however politely explaining this to Greg, he then raised his voice and threatened to cancel my order, knowing the tiles I had ordered we're a speciality tile and would take another supplier another 7 days minimum to secure and deliver. Shocked at this level of customer service, I challenged him regarding how he was dealing with the situation, which he then responded to by in an aggressive tone, that he was cancelling my order and put the phone down. Luckily SIG managed to rescue us, in disbelief at how Greg from Burtons had handled the situation. & saved us money.

I have been in the roofing industry for over fifteen years, and have never received this level of customer service from any of my suppliers. I’d also like to add that of 3 different suppliers Burtons were the most expensive by over £200 for the same products. I had wrongly presumed that this may result in a better service.

As of 7th April I’m still awaiting a response.

I had a great experience with Mr Greg from the roofing company’s customer service team. He was friendly, professional, and very helpful throughout. He explained everything clearly and kept me updated, which made the whole process easy and stress-free.

I will definitely recommend this company called BURTON the roofing people to my friends and family.

Great service from the team in Stockton Portrack Lane and from Jake in Sunderland who provided me with a discontinued tile.
I am not a roofer, I just had a sample of the old tile which I removed from the roof to show them.

Rubbish.
Tried doing an on line order and gave all my details and what I wanted but got nothing back at all. Phoned and left voicemail and got nothing back.
Emailed and got nothing back.
I would not recommend this company at all, no customer service💩

failed delivery slots on our developments so had to seek alternative

Got house and checked price in other places, and yes these charged £57.60 with Vat, elsewhere down to £30 inc Vat.
Rip off.

i called into York branch... gave them roof size ... they calculated how many of the tiles i would need ,,and in colour required to match others... and with in days they where delivered to my drive way in Harrogate.. they even texted when i missed the call with a picture of them on my drive....this is the future... i be calling there again for all my roofing stuff. tell; 01904 781467

I called to discuss my requirements and they were very helpful. Ordered easily online. Plenty of updates with the order being produced and despatched and a call on the day. Great service, products perfect, well packed and delivered on time.

HAVE TRIED CALLING TWICE,STAYED ON THE PHONE FOR TWENTY MINUTES EACH TIME AND NO ANSWER. VERY DISSAPOINTING !!

Small items missing but they maintain they sent them. I didn’t get them so purchased the other parts to finish the roof for our client. Denial isn’t helpful for anyone.

Have placed an order and paid in full.
The order was cancelled without giving the option to pay for postage or not ,the order was just cancelled.
I would prefer to pay extra but get what I need.

Ordered another Velux glass unit from Burton Roofing which I wanted to replace, the order placed quick and efficiently - I had to then cancel the order due to circumstances outside Burton Roofings control and Vikki kindly cancelled the order and refunded without hesitation or issue. Extremely pleased with the service in both cases I've used Burton Roofing in the past couple of months.
