My credit card was charged $15.00 from buymecoffer.ca.
I didn’t make this transaction so my bank credited my card and canceled my card. Not sure why Canada?

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service, takes days and multiple emails to get a response. They suspended my account without any warning. The communication was v poor and I am v unhappy with the outcome.

Suspensions are usually tied to payment partner requirements rather than something we decide on our own, but that's little comfort if nobody explained it clearly. If you reply to your existing thread at support@buymeacoffee.com and mention this review, we'll get someone to look at it properly.

The support person (Abi?) was fantastic. She helped resolve my issue with instructions that were clear and easy to follow. She was polite and professional. She solved a problem that had been a troublesome until she stepped in. If I have another issue, can I request her. I know probably not but that’s how good she is. Thanks so much.

Poor business practices and ethics

Poor business practices and ethics. Do not use buy me a coffee they have suspended my account with no warning claiming that it was permanent. After which opening a discussion on their public Reddit page they deleted my post. There are other claims of people being wrongfully suspended and no proof of the money going to either the creator or the donator. They claimed supporters will receive their donations back however this comes at a loss of the creator. I still haven’t heard my supporters saying they have received their donations back. STAY AWAY find another program to accept donations unfortunately buy me a coffee is not running in good ethical practices.

Account suspensions follow our terms and our payment partners' requirements, and while we can't discuss account specifics publicly, you're welcome to request a review of the decision at support@buymeacoffee.com.I will personally take a look into this and get you a clear response.
On refunds: when an account is closed, supporter payments are returned through the original payment method , timing depends on the card issuer, and your supporters can contact us directly if anything hasn't arrived.
On the Reddit post: discussions of individual account decisions are outside what can be resolved on a public forum, so those threads are typically redirected to support , that's standard moderation, not an attempt to silence anyone. Our team is ready to look at your case directly if you reach out.
