Terrible - From the UI, to the account managers (Evelyn Sun was useless & only sent automated emails, did nothing when I said about a refund), models are extremely gated, I was trying to use their version of Seedance 2.0 for AI UGC, unable to generate human likeness, ridiculous. Worst of all they never gave me a refund, the UI makes it a nightmare and account managers do nothing.

I purchased credits from BytePlus to create a video, but the video was never generated, even after trying multiple times. What made the experience even worse was that I couldn’t find a clear way to request a refund or even an easy way to contact their support team.

According to their refund policy, refunds are not available in these situations, which is extremely frustrating when the service itself didn’t work.

Very disappointing experience. I do not recommend BytePlus at all.

Terrible! Credits have limitations for example you can buy 1000 credits but only about 600 or so of those are actually usable for video generation. Support says it's clear on their pricing page - I've used all the major AI video providers and none have this dishonest and misleading practice. Stay away. Great models and probably nice for bigger businesses, but as a customer/user, go to other platforms like Topview, etc. Asked for a refund and they said no.

Doesn't generate videos that contain a human created by its own AI, so offers a statue instead, like really!!! Also gets stuck on storyboarding. Joined today, wasted money, and have unsubscribed today. Would like a refund, as the credits I purchased are still there. I can't do anything with them. I'm reporting this company.

The worst experience in every aspect. And this business is cheating me and taking my money and time.
1. I purchased Dreamina Seedance 2.0, the Light plan for $30. Then I could NOT generate a single video and the error message said I reached the inference limit.
2. When contacting the online support, a sales agent reached out and explained I needed to go through enhanced verification which is applied to business users. When I said I was an individual customer, she asked me to subscribe to Lumina instead. There was no transparency from the purchasing point.
3. When I contacted the centre for a refund, they refused to refund and said individual customers could use Dreamina. I was super confused. Then I asked for instruction, they said I'd reached my inference limit.
Then I screen shot my usage, which is 0 and asked for further explanation.
4. All the staff (sales agent and technical support person) were super unhelpful. Their messages were always short and not self-explanatory.

Be aware of this seller, when they have sold item for you and it was a good deal they just chancel it as " sorry but it is out of stock and we do not know when its back" THO it IS in stock right after they chancel it but have lifted the price up..

I purchased the ModelArk Coding Plan. because the advertised quota appeared very generous. Unfortunately, my experience was the complete opposite. Before I even finished my first coding task, around half of my 5hr-session quota had already been consumed. The way quota is calculated was far less transparent than I expected, and it was impossible for me to predict how much usage a normal coding session would consume.

I also found the subscription management experience frustrating. I could not find a clear way to cancel the subscription, confirm whether automatic renewal was disabled, or remove my saved payment card from my account. The product did not appear in the normal unsubscription section, and removing credit card, which made the process confusing.

When I contacted support, I received a generic response pointing to the no-refund policy without addressing my concerns about the quota calculation or providing the detailed usage information I requested.

If you are considering this service, I strongly recommend that you also compare with other services. My experience did not match my expectations based on the product description, and I would not purchase this service again.

The worse experience I had in a long time now.

They have limits on features that everyone else (Google Flow, Kling, 3rd parties) includes, and they do not mention these limitations anywhere (unless you read all their docs/policies before purchasing), and to get access to those features you have to negotiate with their sales team and so on and so forth.

They don't offer trials and they don't provide refunds either, so I guess the majority pays for a plan, it's too late when they find out that they can't get what they want, and they can't get a refund, so they barely spend the tokens... That means the platform earns but doesn't spend on compute. 100% sure that this pattern is not a coincidence and chances are they designed it this way.

That's the definition of a SCAM (dressed in legit clothes)!

Seedance-2 model is unusable with faces, I have not used any credits I purchased on the platform and byteplus won't issue a refund. This is not serious.
