I’m so so pleased with my candle and amazing customer service!

I contacted Sean and Simona once I noticed there appeared to be a delay with the Royal Mail tracker. They got back to me the same day, were extremely helpful and friendly. They updated me as soon as they had contacted Royal Mail and I received it a couple of days later. It’s sad to see the previous review, as my experience was completely the opposite. They are a small business and sometimes delays are inevitable or through no fault of their own.

The candle itself smells incredible and burns like a dream. I’ll definitely be trying more in the near future and recommending them to friends and family! They also packaged it beautifully, so it would be a lovely gift.

I placed an order for a gift on 28th June with 48-hour Royal Mail postage that I paid £3.49 for. I had a shipping notification on 1st July to say the order had been shipped but the tracking didn’t progress past shipped for over a week.

I contacted the business on 8th July to explain to explain this and they responded by saying there had been Royal Mail delays. I understand this may be the case, however, I wouldn’t have purchased an item for a gift if their website had stated there were Royal Mail delays in their area (I’ve had multiple RM parcels from other businesses recently that haven’t been delayed).

On 9th July they said they would send a replacement if the tracking hadn’t updated by the end of next day, the tracking did update the next day but for delivery today 11th July instead of the 10th July. I let the business know I am now away and won’t be able to accept delivery of the item so it will either be delivered to a neighbour or held at the delivery office.

I have no use for the candle now as it was for a gift so I asked to return the candle. I will either have to wait for it to return to the business through the delivery office which will take weeks or pay for two lots postage for a candle I don’t even have.

I can’t comment on their products but my customer service experience wasn’t a positive one. By the Pines could have offered to refund the original delivery postage or sent out an immediate replacement but unfortunately they didn’t and the delays were just blamed on Royal Mail.

As a business owner I always try and rectify any issues immediately. Really disappointed.

These candles are the best I have ever bought. The quality is absolutely perfect and they smell divine. I will always use them from now on, no toxic substances. A fantastic business

Beautiful scented candles and beautifully wrapped, the scent is just lovely.....they will make excellent xmas presents too.....

I’ve ordered a medium size butter croissant candle, and really love the smell. So i just made another order of two large size buttery croissant and 1 medium butterscotch cookies. Love the products and love how they packaged it with personal note and all. I am a happy & satisfied customer!
